Caleys biggest win? 6-0? We put seven past Ayr not so long ago. sheeeesh!

Didn't see the previous post 6-0 then, must have taken it easy 2nd half.

Any score in the 2nd half.

Doubt it if it was 6-0 at HT.

Can anyone who was there give a detailed account of goals/individual performances? These 2 months I've been starved of ICT based news!

I think it was mate. It said 6-0 on the thread at 8.13 pm

Summary

First Half= Fantastic

Second Half= Rubbish

I wish there was a like button on comments in this forum like on facebook :(

What! No goals in the 2nd half! Did Andy Barrowman make a guest appearance?

He was actually, he was standing next to Jonny Hayes in the crowd.

First half we played really well with a team made up mainly of trialists - Number 7 was the best player on the park - Big Tel was standing beside us and said he'd give Johnny Hayes some serious competition.

Second half on came our big guns Rooney,Odi,Tokely,Tuffey, cox,Blumstein and apart from a craking free kick by Blumstein we huffed and puffed and never looked like scoring

Summary - Early days and a bit of rustiness but overall a pretty decent pre season game

Any score in the 2nd half.

Nope. All 6 came in the first half

Could Steven Mackay be Gary Mackay Steven? The young lad from Thurso who joined Liverpool from County a couple of years back. He's been released by Liverpool and played on trial for Peterhead recently.

Yes the number 7 was indeed Gary Mackay-Steven, scored the 4th goal. Looked quite a good player.

Cracking 1st half, second half there wasn't much to note except a blumstein free-kick

We did do very well in the 1st half. Number 7 was very impressive whoever he was. Blumstein also looks a really good find, quick feet accurate passing and a very neat free kick taker, was unlucky not to score. Was also nice to see Jonny Tuffey get a very warm welcome from the fans.

Nobody really had a bad game tonight, looking forward to games against bigger teams though.

Oh yeah...where was Sammy Oji?

It was a good way to start the pre-season.

Gil has some skill.

Tuffy didn't have a chance to show us his skill, though he did have one risky moment.

Evey player did well and I'm looking forward to seeing them on Saturday :(

No he wouldnt. He did well but that is a horrific statement to make after watching him play 45 mins

What TB says is ok by me :(

When did he say that?

Dear Terry,

sign up Gary Mackay-Steven.

Thanks Missict!!

I liked the way the old kit had the orion group logo stuck over where flybe would be printed.

Sooner the new kit is out the better.

Real Valladolid just went down form the Spanish top flight I think.

I reckon they were under order not to try too hard in front of goal in the 2nd half, execrable performance. Blumenschtein looked very good as a creative midfielder. Should be a valuable addition.

Same here!

could be a while though as they have to come all the way from Italy :( .

Mackay-Steven looked a really good player. I think some of his family were there to watch. It must be tough to assess some of the defenders currently on trial against Highland League opposition.

Mackay-Steven played for Peterhead a few days ago in a draw against Keith, but not with a view to signing for them:

The lack of bodies available meant Cooper was pleased to hand former Liverpool starlet Gary Mackay-Steven a start as a trialist after receiving a phone call from the winger seeking advice around finding a way back into the game.

I think I'm right in saying he's never actually played a first team game in his life, but I think the same applied to Ian Black and he turned out not too bad.
