Inverness CT v Celtic - Calum Murray

(Live on Sky Sports, 12.15pm)

The name definitely rings a bell but i cant think if its for good or bad reasons.

Did he not give us the penalty at ibrox in the 1-0 win 2 seasons ago?

Callum Murray!? ARGH! For those who might no remember him he is the ginger haired referee. At Tynecastle he turned in one of the most inept performances I have ever seen from a referee as we hammered Hearts 0 - 0. Still, he's not as bad as Freeland or MacDonald. Bring back Willie Young!

At least in the game with Rangers at Ibrox he proved he wasn't afraid to give a decision against the OF.

On the other hand, maybe he's a Sellic supporter....

Calum Murray is a great ref and really nice guy. Best ref in Scotland IMO.

If any referee hadn't given that penalty they should have been sacked. Blatant doesn't even come close to describing it.

I remember driving through Aberdeen and when I heard we had a penalty at Ibrox, in the last minute and Grandad Weir had been sent off I almost crashed!

I work with Calum's brother. I will pass on your loving comments to him, lol

I absolutely hate this ref! _thumbdown.gif i would have liked craig thomson

He also sent Esson off at Falkirk in March 2009.sad2.gif

I can't seem to recall the score in that one. 024.gif024.gif024.gif024.gif

Isn't he caley100's cousin?

We got hammered 4-0 due to esson being sent off (which was the wrong decision) and those minks getting an offside goal

i remember laughing at the tv that night as the scrolling news had a bit about how walter smith had rewarded wier with a new contract for his excellent performances closely followed by wier sent off for rangers...... also remember trying so hard to not shout and wake up the whole house when we scored

feck it you should have woke up the street.

Dismal doesn't even begin to describe this clowns performance today. How the f**k did Samaras and Mulgrew both stay on the field let alone not even getting yellows?! :020:

Samaras should have been off and mulgrew at least a yellow samaras handballed in bout 3-5 times, always fouling in the air and mulgrew took out hayes 2 or 3 times as well_angry2.gif

Fwiw I thought the ref was ok today.

The only thing i think he did well was keeping lennon from being his usual self but in the game he was abysmal

he was shocking simple as that

Here we are again, when all else fails, blame the ref. If you really thought he was shocking today, prepare yourself for a very long, disappointing season. There will be much worse to come. For my money, the ref today had a good game.

I really don't see how what you're suggesting here is relevent?

We were beaten by a single superb effort. What is being said here is that the referee was extremely poor. He's not being blamed for anything - yet you see fit to jump to that conclusion?

sorry for adding how i feel about how the ref performed in a topic about the ref

The only way that somebody could be worse is that if someone was punched and they stayed on the park!

worst referee in scottish football if you ask me

Was absolutely shocking today. How on earth that clown Samaras wasn't booked at least for the several handballs or clumsy fouls I've no idea.
