Ewan Murray has just tweeted that there is plans to move the first game against County to the Friday night. I retweeted it @capitalcaley if you want to have a look. Anyone else heard this?

Why are they moving it to a Friday night ?

I hope not what a bloody stupid idea.

Not heard anything, but suspect/ed the game might be shifted for TV.

Aberdeen had a good crowd for their friday night game it drew in a lot of people who normally work on a saturday and its a 100 times better than a Monday night

Just had confirmation that it has been moved to Friday 5th October with 7:45pm Kick Off....reason being that it is being shown on ESPN

I like it, when we win we can celebrate into the night and have all weekend to recover.

I don't like, it means a scramble to get ready and out there and virtually no chance of a beer beforehand. Utter bollox.

For purely selfish reasons I am quite happy about this as I am more likley to make the trip from Aberdeen (back at uni then). I can understand other people being annoyed.

Rules mise out. Can't say this being moved is a surprise at all

I realise we need the money from TV sponsors to run the club, but I hate how it ruins the match day experience. Many of our fans travel from afar and will now need to take a half days holiday. I love the Saturday pre match build up. The craic in the pubs. Now with a Friday game, for most people it will be straight from work to the football - not the greatest day out! The game gets moved for the convenience of folk not even going to the game, i.e. neutrals. We have to sacrifice what would have been a great Saturday outing for the convenience of ESPN. But if we didn't have the TV deals then the game would be dead. Either way it's a lose lose scenaria for supporters who like to savour the match day experience.

Had great plans for the game with a group coming up. Knew it would be change but expected early Sat or Sunday, but Friday! Oh well that is going to be 8 down in the stands. Will probably even struggle to get a Glasgow pub to show it! Raging. Plus! We don't win on Fridays!

I had arranged to come back home a day early from a weeks holiday, in time to go to Hospitality on the Saturday and enjoy the game. My travel arrangements were that I would get into Inverness after 9pm on Friday night. Even getting changes to travel that day, if I can, and make the kick off, hospitality may be an expensive non-starter for me. Booooo

I reckon it was fairly attractive game for ESPN to move to a Friday night fixture due to the closeness of both teams, meaning that the number of people travelling would be reduced. I think it might just work, but I do agree there is nothing like football on a Saturday at 3pm and of course Juanjo Away Ole Ole will struggle to make it. Unfortunately it's not our call. On a positive note, I'm on holiday the following week, so my holidays can now start on the Saturday :-)

Better than a Monday night and prob a sunday as well. Won't get much time in pub though by time I get down the road from Wick. Although I go on holiday that day so a good start to it!

It was definitely on the cards that this game would be moved. I was expecting the early Sat slot or even the Sunday. Both of those would have been fine by me but to move it to a Fri is a kick in the nads. Its worked out ok for some folk but not others. The 'Saturday afternoon' spectator just doesn't matter any more...money rules.

Absolutely gutted this game has been moved had planned the trip up for the weekend and now unable to make it home, dont think i will be the only one missing out!

at Uni in Edinburgh and was excited about making that game, but doubt i'll be able to make it up the road now after lectures in time...

Lectures were made to be skipped, especially ones on a Friday!

Will have visitors from Greenland who are leaving on the Saturday, this means we will be there, well oiled too, excellent news for us.

We were hoping to join Juanjo Ole Ole for this one. but No chance now. I can see the thought process behind this, but, still pee'd off. Cant see any pubs round our area showing it when it will be up against Super Leage rugby! Unless the West Yorkshire Ole Ole know a pub that will show it?

Judging by the way ICT are playing compared to County I think they are going to roast them. Ross Tokely, bless him, was not too fast on the ball--- showing on the UTube gig.

But Grant Munro did quite well it seems. But Caley's speed and determination will out.

In full flight he will be a hard man to stop .Man, on t he highlights that was a real run and no mistake from Sutherlamnd a couple of weeks ago. Pity he didn't score. What is he the new Tade?

I watched all the SPL games on the UTube format recently and Ican tell yolu that yoir football is more exciting than in the MLS. There is not that much wrong with the speed and action of these teams i n the SPL. Mind you, theyse were highlights bgut it appeared as if they were all trying hard to turn it on and goalmouth incidents were frequent which is what the fans pay to see.

Imagine this then....Vancouver played In Seattle just across the U S A border last Saturday and lost handily 2=0. There were 55,300 people there folks. What a crowd and what a buzz.Barry Robson was absent and Kenny Miller needs to pout more effort into it. True, he's not getting the service but if he doesn't do something to get that ball and prove to the fans that his signing was not a mistake then sooner than later the fans ar e going to become restive--he's on a 2-year contract.

At this stage I'll say no more It may just be early days and maybe he neds a few more games to settle in and get fully fit. Sure hope so. The "caps have lost the last two games and don't look good in the forwards position at all.

As long as it dosent affect what would be a sell out game's attendance im happy. I agree thought that any pre match socialising pretty much goes out the window for some who are working or needing to make a hasty journey through to the game. I love night time kick offs though and it hasnt deterred me from looking forward to this fixture.

It will be interesting to see what impact this has on the attendance as this will affect County supports to who travel from all over Ross-shire. I don't think this game will sell out now but hopefully will be proved wrong.
