Not gossip. He and Brora announced it on Twitter.

That's a staggering signing for Brora! And a huge shot-in-the-arm for Highland football.

He could easily have gone to the likes of Dundee, Killie, Motherwell etc... but clearly wants to remain up here.

Another indication, that the world doesn't revolve around the Central Belt.

Where is the money coming from for Brora to afford a player of his experience? How old is Brittain anyway?

I think he's about 30.  When he decided against the move to St Johnstone 3 years ago he stated he was putting his family ahead of his career and I guess that's what he's doing here.  Good luck to him, I say.

Rickie Foster signs for County

He certainly wouldn't have come cheap! Thought he looked decent playing for the real Rangers in the Champions League. Still only 29. Didn't have the best of times last season, but that could easily be attributed to the toxic environment he was working in and the dross he was playing alongside. A solid top 6 player IMO. Looks like County should be challenging at the top end this season, on paper at least.

 

Had my annual glance at the sleepy wee jailender forum yesterday and there was an interesting thread about their aspirations for this season. After about a page of sensible stuff it quickly degenerated into an ICT slagfest with the usual name calling etc.

still, looking on the bright side - after the first week of July, word has finally reached Dingwall that we won the cup!
