A very handy €139000 

Yes, a windfall the club knew was coming (maybe not the precise amount) and no doubt has been factored in to this year's budget already.  Less of course whatever sum was agreed between OFW and the club as a re-signing on bonus last summer.  I have no problem with OFW getting a share, otherwise we would have got nothing had he been 'unattached' at the time of Euro2016.

Goes a little was to offsetting the inbuilt annual deficit circa £400,000 with the income from the Celtic cup match going a little further but that is relative peanuts compared to the shortfall of a million pounds or so we will face if we find ourselves in the Championship next season.

Thank goodness the € exchange rate is poor

OFW's form is very concerning he certainly doesn't look like an international over the last few games but I suppose he's been affected badly by what's going on in front of him

I would imagine a fair amount of that euros would have ended up with him but any cash injection no matter how small is very welcome at the moment considering attendances are down and hence match day income is on the decline

Frankly, Dougal, considering how low the crowd numbers are these days it's surprising that there is any money left over to pay the players' wages week in and week out at all.

Neither the Board, nor Richie for that matter, has (apparently) many arrows left in their respective quivers to allow them to save the day. What it boils down to, it seems, is that the Manager and the Players have a real ding-dong heart -to-heart talk and resolve to get out there and play their hearts out in the next match to save face, souls and the club.
