QUESTIONS / OBSERVATIONS TO THE BOARD

Well I am being serious - I can evidently see that communications between the fans and the Board are sadly lacking. I am baffled and fed up of some repetitive (and often derogatory) posts that pop up on most threads these days. I do however also understand and agree with some. SO I will give it a go.

IF you have a personal beef, an example or observation to support it - or a question - or a suggestion - then bang it down. In about a week I will put them all together and make a presentation to the Board.

Do the board have any plans to remove the harris fencing by the North stand?

Would the board be open to the idea of  an independent clothes store in the City Centre to sell replica kit?

Why are McEwan Fraser not doing competitions anymore on social media or website?

Silence is now golden. Ulp!

Genuine question. Other than cost cutting and reducing the football budget what action is the board taking to attract major investment which would improve our financial stability in order to assist our team to gain promotion and compete in the top division?

What is being done to improve footfall?  (this stems from a requirement to improve the matchday experience but also to promote the club and matches. There seems to be a disconnect with the local community which could be addressed with more visibility and presence within the city centre. Why do we not have ticket kiosks in town on the matchday mornings - High St, Falcon square etc?

What plans and timescales do the board have to improve:

The fans match day experience?

General facilities such as catering, car parking and stewarding?

If you have a look at last weekend's progamme it says we are going for a silver SFA licence from bronze. Not sure what that means exactly on terms of facilities.

With the car park, other than better lighting in the dark evenings not sure what else could be done. Paving it all would incur huge rates I believe and will we not be giving them to Tulloch in the near future if this deal ever goes through?

This sounds like a very good idea.

Pretty certain we used to be silver, so would be interesting to know what's slipped (league you play in is not a direct factor) or if criteria has changed.

Club won't be giving car parks to anyone...as they're not theirs to give.

What is the position regarding the transfer of stadium lease from Tulloch to ICT?

Yes, they are obviously earning Tullochs money from use as parking for Thrifty Car Hire, burger van, car wash, contractor's compounds and storage of wind turbine towers, all without planning permissions too. This may be the pre-cursor to permanent development proposals, who knows?

If we are to get back into the Premier League or draw one of the better supported teams in the Cup, I wonder how the greater demand for parking would be catered for then?

This subject has come up at the club AGM on more than one occasion and, unless anything has changed, ALL income generated from hiring of the car parks for other activities went to the club.

I thought income from the car wash at least (which is gone) went to community development?

Quite frankly I couldn't care less really. Better they're put to some use generating income than sitting empty on the off chance they might be needed a couple of times a year.

I use the term "club" to cover all branches...First Team, Development Players, Youth & Community.

Ultimately, every penny that goes to Community is a penny less the club needs to help with...so all a much and suchness.

I see also that they're setting up a separate charity for community work related things in the hope to attract grant funding etc.

How many charities does a club need?

It has the community development charity. Does it need two doing same thing?

There's "Inverness Caledonian Thistle Community Development"....a registered charity which has made contributions averaging around £50k per year over the last few years (based on a cursory glance at companies house info).

There's also "INVERNESS CALEDONIAN THISTLE TRUST LIMITED" (not to be mistaken with the Supporters Trust)...which also has charity status but, other than being the vehicle that holds 729500 shares in the club (and is currently controlled by members/associates of Muirfield Mills) contributes nothing directly to the club.

I'd suggest over the last few seasons the club has been very charitable in payments made to some squad members which should be considered donations given the lack of any return shown..............

Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club is enhancing its supporter liaison operations to help improve communications between supporters and the football club.

Through existing Club communication channels, we will deliver all aspects of the Supporters Liaison Officer duties through a number of Club employees, rather than one dedicated person.

In addition to the resources available from right across the Club to cover the duties of the SLO, we are developing additional mechanisms with other affiliated groups and organisations who want to play a key role in discussing the issues and asking the questions that most affect them and the fans they represent.

This means that the supporter liaison role is effectively covered by a number of people within the Club covering the key areas of ticketing, operations, match day experience and communications. One person is nominated as Supporter Liaison coordinator, who is responsible for ensuring that all Supporters Liaison Communications and Feedback are dealt with by the correct department and that the necessary actions are delivered.

A Supporters liaison Officer email is now active with the address below

at least there is now a defined line of communication. is it an idea that cto.com create a single line of communication to slo to ask supporters questions and hopefully get answers to valid points?

If I am reading that right then we still don't have a physical SLO, we just have an email address with an unidentified person manning it?

yes but at least there is now a direct contact source to ask our questions. if they go unanswered the board has dug a big hole for themselves. for everyones benefit i hope it works.
