Morton -V- Inverness CT - Preview

Here we go again...

Time to bounce back with a win and boost morale and confidence that we can put a decent run together.

Welsh will be missing and Doran is a doubt, so our squad is getting stretched.

Time to see what McDonald can do, with MacGregor slotting in beside Allardice?

Bouncing! Top Caleyaway!!!  Well deserved. Just a brilliant performance.  Lets make sure we carry this on at home next week.

  • You beat me to it. Absolutely agree. Whilst I don't think it's probable, with the effect of the new omicron variant being unknown, there remains the possibility that the season could be terminate

Interesting, thought it would've sped up due to the relief on the servers with all their fans turning the stream off...

That’s a great result. We have turned our superiority into goals and killed a team off, and the rest of the league will have noticed it as it is rare to get a convincing result in this league.

We’ve now won three in a row in the league and need to keep that run going.

If is good that Sutherland got a couple, with McAlear getting his first for the club and Jamieson his first league goal too. They will all have got a boost from that.

We did this without Welsh and MacGregor which makes it all the more impressive.

I didn’t see the game, but hope it was as good as the result implies, and credit to all who travelled: you deserved that!

Well that's the first game I have not been to or watched online this season and what a result :clapping:  Well done to all the team and coaches today and as someone mentioned earlier there will be a happy bus coming back up the road tonight

Billy has now gone level with Gardyne as joint top scorer with 5 league goals.

If we are going to win the league I think we’d need him to get 15+, with someone else getting into double figures (more likely to be Sutherland than Duku!).

Happy happy happy talk, a bally high score just what i have been wanting to see all season, Well done ICT so many scorers, have we got a scoring side at long last. thrilled to bits.

Pity my video froze for the las 25 or so mins. another GM **** up, even the rats watching the vid wouldnt see the end.

What the hell, we are still top of the league and with a much more resp[ectable goal difference.

Please can we keep repeating this ICT............. Happy Happy  Happy talk.      :ictscarf:         very well done.

Nope - that was you or your ISP, not Morton.

I had no problems - and I was in Amsterdam again

When we were coming out of ground we met Andy Richie who now does Morton tv. He told us thats the best performance from an away team there in years. Superb was word used. Seems a nice guy for those that remember him as a player

Any chance of you staying away for the rest of the season?

He and the other guy were really good on the TV commentary today.    Not easy when your team is being thrashed.

They were a good pairing on Tuesday too. Very unbiased and good fun.

A great guy and what a dead ball specialist who  probably scored more goals directly from corners than any professional footballer in history.

Just think what a player he could have been if he didn't get through 2 pie suppers and 30 fags a day !

It’s just the second league game I’ve missed (I was at a wedding when we win at Killie) although I also missed the home cup tie against Morton so we need to share the blame for us underperforming until today!!

If we don't win next week against Hamilton we might have to meet up and talk about cars, lorries and buses instead of going to the home game against Partick Thistle

Indeed. I may miss the Boxing Day game as on chauffeuring duties after Christmas and trying to time them so I can get to the match…..

Report in P&J. Sounds like McAlear’s goal was excellent:

I used the wrong emotion should have been :tongueincheek:    Boxing day is my wife's birthday but we are having a family brunch so I should manage the game after I have not mentioned football yet

Ritchie generally has a couple of faux pas moments (last seasons cranium detachment about the free kick in the Morton box being a good example) but overall I'd say he's a pretty decent co commentator.

These guys are all amateur commentators doing it as they love football and love the clubs they support. They and the livestreams have been a godsend during the pandemic and it’s great we still have them as many of us otherwise would not see away games.

When you get ex pros involved, that adds to it.

It’s a great feeling waking up the morning after a 6-1 win and looking at the league table!
