I am sorry but I find it truly disgusting that Aaron, who has been with the club for 14 years, may have to fund his own operation because the club has cancelled the insurance it had to cover such eventualities. He hasn’t even had his testimonial match. Have the Board no shame? Just when I think the club can’t go any lower in my estimation. The club might be in financial difficulties but surely our successful directors have a conscience and a sense of moral duty towards a long time player who was injured on the playing field.

That's great news. He better recover quickly because he's in the starting line up for 13th July!

Damn. Would have made the effort for one of our great servants. Got a wedding in Yorkshire. Hope it goes well

Ticket information to follow shortly. For those who would like to support Aaron but can't make it you could consider buying a ticket for the game anyway?

Make sure you go to the right event

https://circusvegasuk.com/locations/inverness/

Venue: Caledonian Thistle FC
SAT NAV: IV1 1FF
Opening Period: Fri July 4th to Wed July 9th 2025

Showtimes:

Fri July 4th…… 7pm ONLY
Sat July 5th… 2pm, 5pm & 7.45pm
Sun July 6th… 2pm & 5pm
Mon July 7th… 3pm & 7.30pm
Tue July 8th… 3pm & 7.30pm
Wed July 9th… 12 Noon & 3pm

They have their own big top.  So I'm guessing that car parking might be quite limited that afternoon...

Aye.  I was thinking of saying "make sure you go to the right circus" - but I decided that we were past all that!

So, is this the first of the marquee signings?

:getmecoat:

Just some additional information. This game will be a full pre season friendly for both teams. Aaron will obviously feature at some point in the game but both teams will be fielding strong teams.

We are hoping some ex players may be able to join us a bit later in the bar for a catch up.

There will be buses running, times will be confirmed but as you have noticed parking will be limited so this could be a good option for many of you.

More information re tickets etc to follow later in the week.

Any hospitality options?

Would quite fancy a programme too.

Unfortunately we don't have time to get a programme designed and printed and due to ongoing work within the stadium there will be no hospitality for this game.

What we will have is a great day in Bar 94 where we will be raising money for Aaron.

Aaron and some other players will join us post match where we will have testimonial shirts to raffle/auction as well as some other prizes.

Bar 94 will be open and the matchday bus service will be operating for Aaron Doran’s testimonial match against Ross County at 1400 on Saturday 5 July.

Bar 94 will open at 1130, with last orders at 1330 (the bar must be fully vacated by 1345).

The bar reopens at full time.

Buses will leave the Bus Station for the Stadium at 1145 and 1315.

Buses return from the Stadium to the Bus Station 10 minutes after the full time whistle and at 1700.

The fare is £2.70 single (contactless payments or cash accepted), and Over 60 / Disabled and Under 22 Concession passes are valid, giving free travel on the service to passholders.

Due to the circus being in the North Car Park that day, parking will be severely restricted at the stadium and in the surrounding area, so please use the matchday bus service if you are able to.

Unfortunate, but also positive to hear there's work being done. Thanks.

With tickets going on sale today, we contacted our members earlier about Aaron's testimonial, and a request for assistance the day before from Dale, our Head Groundsman.

Do you have your tickets.

This is a fully competitive game between both teams as they prepare for the season ahead. Of course Aaron will feature.

Your support is much appreciated 👏

As detailed in the Bar 94 and Matchday Bus Service thread, Bar 94 will be open from 1130 and will reopen at full time, with the usual range of products (and we have held the price of a pint of Dog Falls at £5).

We hope to see you there to enjoy what the Testimonial Committee have lined up for the day.

With the circus taking place in the car park, please use the matchday bus if you are able to as parking will be restricted at and around the ground.

It leaves the Bus Station at 1145 and 1315, returning from the Stadium 10 minutes after the full time whistle and at 1700.

The fare is £2.70 single (contactless payments or cash accepted), and Over 60 / Disabled and Under 22 Concession passes are valid, giving free travel on the service to passholders.

Stagecoach have advised that all revenue taken on the service on Saturday will be donated to Aaron's Testimonial Fund, so that is another great reason to use the service, as Aaron will be directly benefitting from your journey.

Excellent piece TM4TJ

From STV in case anyone missed it

Top top player, in my humble opinion. Hope there is a great turnout for Aaron on saturday.

If anyone has free time tomorrow, remember that Dale (the club Groundsman) is seeking assistance to do a general tidy up around the pitch from 1000 onwards tomorrow (Friday).

Everyone’s assistance, even for a hour or two, will be very much appreciated, and if you have an edging iron or shovel please take it along too.

If you can help, please let the Supporters Trust know by e-mailing them at [email protected] or reply here saying you can make it.

County fans fighting before they leave Dingwall apparently 😐

They were throwing stones at some of our fans before kick off too and quite a number of Police Officers were in attendance at full time to ensure there was no further trouble and they ushered the young idiots away from the Stadium.

Credit to our younger fans for not responding in kind, although it could have turned a bit nasty had the Police not been there.

Totally unnecessary and it could easily have marred Aaron’s day but fortunately it didn’t.
