ICT vs Cove

I read that Ex C**TY player is reffing the game this Saturday!

"A former Ross County midfielder will take charge of Caley Thistle’s League One clash with Cove Rangers on Saturday.

Jamie McCunnie, who made 79 appearances for the Staggies between 2003-2005, has been a match official for six years.

This season, the 42-year-old refereed matches in Scottish League Two, and the Highland and Lowland League."

Well.. having been a ref in lower leagues and this will be his biggest game so far, Will he be up to the task?

Were some fans actually booing the team at the end of the game?.... Scott Kellacher looked very unhappy about something at the End

Maybe someone ordered a taxi for him.

What a way to mark the 100th goal of our season. Some strike from the wee man. Wooooooshhhhhhhh!!! 25 yards, top corner, belter, top bananabanana

Very disappointing. What a difference 5 minutes make! A minute before normal full time it was looking like we would open up a further 2 point gap over Stenny, and 5 mis later they have reduced the gap by 2.

Once again all the match stats are well in our favour, bur scoring is still a problem.

Some tough games ahead. Stenny away in April will be massive, but we need to win a few even before then, starting Tues night.

Onwards and upwards

I'm all for Longstaff getting a start. The problem I see is ,he is either low in confidence or is being told not to take on defenders. He seldom heads for the byline. Perhaps a place in the starting line up would increase his confidence if that is the problem 🤔

We've got the title jitters. Very worrying indeed. Every game is a cup final now. I thought Stenny would eventually fade but they keep getting results. Our away encounter with them will be massive and a possible title decider. Three points on Tue night is a must.

I dont think it is jitters tbh. Everytime we get the chance to pull away it doesnt happen. I agree Stennie just not giving up. Yesterday it was just all too narrow and pedestrian at times. Do we suffer from trying to keep too many players happy? Especially in midfield? What on earth has happened to Zimbas confidence? I love Billy to bits but is Bavidge not a faster more effective centre forward these days?

As for Cove offered very little but it all became a bit uncomfy at the end and I dont think anyone was surprised when they scored from the corner. Why can we not close down play at this period of the game though. We need to be more streetwise. Im pretty sure Ive not seen a keeper score in open play before.

We seem to be stuttering a bit at times. Kelty being another example. Big week coming up! One final thing...I get the frustrations but some of our support need to be less entitled. I fail to see how booing most of 2nd half when we were winning helps the cause? Maybe just me....

We are very good passing the ball sideways and backwards, why oh why couldnt we be cute and do this with 2 mins to go. I saw the ref look at his watch and thought what an ideal time about to fart about. The rest is history.

Bad enough for us to lose that late goal, but it could have been worse...😂

FULL-TIME Dundee 2-2 Dundee United

Two stoppage-time goals and Dundee salvage a derby point! (90+4 & 90+6,og)

Wow! The miracle has happened.

Ross Graham has just been booked for an awful tackle and, from the free-kick, the United centre-half casually nods the ball into his own net.

What a finish.

Is one of the Peterhead games on tv? Or did I imagine that.

Looks like it is. It slipped through the net. I thought they were talking about the KDM game. My bad!

Our away match against Peterhead, originally scheduled for Saturday 4 April, has been rearranged to Tuesday 14 April with a 7.45pm kick-off due to our participation in the KDM Evolution Trophy Final. The match will also be shown live on BBC Alba.

Man what a horrible weekend of footy for me!

  • ICT drop 2 points @ home on a 94+ minute equaliser from the oppostion keeper

  • TFC drop 2 points @ home on a 97+ minute equaliser where the opposition keeper was in the box (but did not score)

  • My son played 2 competitive games over the weekend for his U13 team and we lost both of those ....

oh, and we went from +15 temperatures on Thursday to a snowstorm on Saturday too

Yep! not a great weekend, also with Scotland struggling against Ireland ( again) in the 6 nations.

Now with the dust settling after Saturday, As Kell put it there was a lot of emotions out there, And not just on the pitch.

Much has been said about the Booo/Hiss fans and the happy clappers ( and maybe some in the middle who are as yet unnamed)

I kind of liken it to some people who go to a restaurant for a meal, The waiter is good but the food is not great, The waiter arrives to see if everything is ok and the people say "Yes,fine thankyou " even give the waiter a tip cos he was nice.

Others go for a meal, find out the meal is not great a say so to the waiter ( not booing mind you)

Fans can be the same, fair bit of boos and loud grumbles in the north stand and a lot of fans clapping the team off! Strange but how do the players know if they are not doing a good job? is it only Kell/Billy to remonstrate and critisise?

There is something wrong with our Jekyll and Hyde team, Boy they can play and score but wow can they turn the pysh on, Second half on Saturday was awful.

Kell will no doubt say it but we really need a big reaction tomorrow night for sure.

Just wish Jordan Alonge wouldn't go to ground so easily (and unconvincingly) when he's in the penalty area. He's a good player - no need for that! Embarrassing.

Not just you but . . . . . applauding and booing is probably the most effective form of feedback from the spectator to the performer. Whether it be opera, orchestra, theatre, rock concert, sport or whatever - you pay to be entertained. And if the entertainment is not to the standard you expect - bum notes, forgotten lines, singing out of key, wasted crosses and corners - dissatisfaction is expressed by the boo. Similarly if all is going well, applause and cheering is the appropriate response.

I'm not a boo-er myself but I can accept that it's a less harmful way of expressing disapproval than simply not going to the next home game because you didn't appreciate the fare being served up in the previous one!

I'm not typically a boo-er either. I've been at games where half time booing is widespread. I can't see the point of that - the players know they've been poor but booing is hardly going to motivate them for the second half. Booing at the end of the match is OK if warranted.
