Brilliant, just absolutely brilliant. First off we'll start with the stewards though, who ruined several peoples days out for no reason whatsoever. Big Jamie and another boy sitting close to him got chucked out for apparently 'pointing at the stewards' when they were actually just putting their hands up while singing a song. I tried arguing their case with one man in a hi-viz jacket who I can only describe as a complete and utter waste of fresh air. Said steward just said he was breaking the law, and I was going to be the next out so they were watching me. Complete and utter joke. The police actually told them to stop chucking people out though, unless they were going to go and do the same to the 'Gay Brigade' in the corner across from us. Anyway, on to the football and what a game! We played some brilliant stuff at times and there wasn't a bad performance from anybody. Shinnie had the best game I've seen him play IMO, and Nick Ross had a good game too. Good to see performances like that from our youngsters in such a big arena where the pressure could get to a lot of lads their age. When Celtic's second goal went in against the run of play I didn't see us getting the draw, but the players seemed to get some inspiration from somewhere and just went for it. Pressure on their defence from Nick Ross and Richie Foran led to him nicking the ball of a defender and rounding the keeper to hit it in off the post. When that goal went in it just felt like we were going to get the equaliser we needed, and when Munro nodded in the feeling of euphoria in the away end was unbelieveable. Just felt brilliant to get it up all those cocky Celtic fans, and that absolute joke Neil Lennon. We were unlucky not to win it with a chance towards the end too, but suppose we'll take the draw... Butcher leading the team over towards us at the end and giving it 5 cheers instead of the usual 3 was brilliant as well, was a special moment. He must've been so happy to get it right up Celtic as well. After all the carry ons about will it or won't it go ahead, referees and treacherous weather conditions a lot of people had to go through to get to Glasgow yesterday, I for one am absolutely feckin' delighted it did, and we proved exactly what we're capable of in arguably the hardest away fixture in the country. Days like that just make you totally proud to support ICT and long may the away record continue. Everyone that's been part of it deserves credit cause it's an outstanding achievement no matter what club you are or what league you're in. Take a bow. Oh and one last thing... Maybe cause you were taking it completely off topic, and ruining what should be an otherwise happy thread about a brilliant game of football, when there's no need to start petty little arguments? Just a thought...2 points

If I am not mistaken, this thread was about Roy's testimonial against the Legends. The last two pages have reduced the whole affair to a farce. The thread should have been positive and, as far as I can see, it has become very negative. I do not know any of the people involved in posting but it appears to me that they are using the forum to "attack" others. I will "nail my colours to the mast" and admit that Roy is a relative and, without question, I know that everyone was asked to play because of the respect Roy held for them as players. Anyone who has read the interview with Roy on the forum will know that he was as disappointed as the next man at being relegated, but this did not influence his attitude to Craig Brewster as a player. I had the honour to be a guest of Roy's at the match and I can tell you that the people around me (fellow guests and famly members) were disappointed in the reaction of the individuals in the crowd every time Craig touched the ball. My personal opinion is that Craig Brewster could still play to a high standard and I hope that the rest of those watching appreciated the touch and level of fitness that he was renowned for as a player. I have thought long and hard about a reply to this thread but, at the end of the day, it was supposed to be about Roy and I just felt a reply had to be made. Can I respectfully suggest that we get back on the subject of Roy's testimonial and forget "petty squabbles". In my opinion, Roy is one of the most professional players you could come across, but then again I am biased!2 points

Big congratulations to all involved, listened to the game today as I couldn't make it and at 2-0 down was resigned to this fantastic run ending. Amazing effort by the lads to get back to 2-2 and just proves again how good the team spirit must be in this squad to force the game back their way! Brilliant effort from everyone involved at the club and finally the media seem to be taking notice and realising we play some pretty nice football too. What a year it has been and long may it continue!1 point

First and foremost well done I.C.T what a game. Our team was just terrific lots of heart - and football skill . Lennon wake up we gave you a battle and a football game your team were not up for it - how dare you come out and say we didnt create anything. I would love to see our supporters been so vocal at home and let the team know we are behind them. Well done to you all take a bow | I for one would like to hear on Saturday before the team come on the pitch ' The Boys are back in town' Who decides what music is played at the match's . Looking forward to Sat and a 3 nil win Congrats to all1 point

I wonder if people are aware that it was Dougie McDonald who sent off Juanjo in 2004 (albeit because of the 4th official)? And which particular ginger ned was the beneficiary of the decision? Especially as his team went on to gain 3 points even though ICT gave them a decent game with 10 men for over an hour? And which ginger ned was later challenging ICT fans to 'come ahead' after the game when he went to board the team bus? And which ginger ned escaped punishment even though Juanjo's card was rescinded?1 point

Ok folks. can we lose our fixation with "Big Jock". The OP - who wrote the phrase once - has explained it was an attempt at humour or a play on words for Barcelona's "Nou Camp" which almost no-one 'got'. It is quite clear the reference was to the stadium and not to anything else, and Chris has succintly explained in one paragraph what the 'something else' that some of you may be getting upset about is. There is no need to get onto the OP and accuse him of 'being a hun'. If he is/was or ever will be is frankly neither here nor there and none of our business. He also doesnt deserve the abuse he is currently suffering on some of the posts in this thread. If you cant bring yourself to discuss the game, and bask in the glory of yesterday despite the over officious stewarding, and instead feel the need to post abuse please dont bother commenting.... it will save us the task of removing the abusive posts !1 point

Big Jock knew is a song that fans started singing to Celtic in reference to the sexual abuse scandal within Celtic Boys Club. Jim Torbett, a coach at Celtic Boys Club, sexually abused a number of young players during the 1960s and 70s. There have been allegations that Jock Stein and others within the Celtic heirarchy at the time were aware that this was going on and covered it up. There's no evidence for this, although according to Alan Brazil, who was molested by Torbett, the Kelly family who ran Celtic at the time were aware of the abuse and didn't take any action - Link Calling Celtic Park the Big Jock Knew-Camp is therefore a reference to this. A more accurate title would be the Kelly-Family-Knew Camp.1 point

I think there's a bit more than that to it in this specific case. Hugh Dallas occupied a senior position within the SFA and the Protestant - Catholic divide is (unfortunately) a significant feature of football in Scotland. (I could go on to argue that it is extremely significant but won't digress here.) Furthermore the email was against the side of that divide subscribed to by many followers of the club which is claiming there is an institutional bias against it within the Scottish game. That severely aggravated the whole thing.1 point

As has been said before, it is an absolutely brilliant achievement to do this, regardless of what club you are or what league you're in. We do seem to have a brilliant team spirit and it was a great moment being in the away end when Munro nodded the equaliser over the line yesterday. That feeling of euphoria just can't be beaten in my opinion, and is the reason you pay all the money and give up other things to go to the football for. Amazing. Big hand to everyone that's been involved in this. Players, fans, backroom staff, coach drivers, just everybody.. Take a bow cause it is a great record to have and long may it continue. I can fully empathise with you .Being thrown out by these bullies you missed the incident at the end of the game. The ball mysteriously landed in our supporters area and a young steward sportingly threw it to some of our fans who were having a bit of fun with no intention of wanting to keep their ball, who would want it, out of nowhere this huge steward arrived and as we were celebrating with Terry and Boys he pushed in behind me ,my friend and family almost pushed me over the back of seat in front and I will never know how I held my footing ,my friend twisted her back trying to save herself it was horrendous treatment.I spoke to him and and he was extremely rude I tried speak to another steward and got same treatment .The police were a bit more sympathetic but said they had nothing to do with stewarding.I did get told the offending steward was the head supervisor for the area we were in .The second one I spoke to was walking away and I tapped his arm to get his attention only to be told dont touch me or I will have you for assault, who the hell do they think they are that they can throw their weight around like that.It didnt end there as some man with a clip board appeared and took my name and said he would try to get it sorted out.Next we got escorted out by two very pleasant stewards who were more than understanding .I then decided it is an absolute waste of time and energy to complain as they all stick together. We had a brilliant result and obviously they had to vent their anger on someone .We are quite probably the easiest and best behaved fans these nasty people have to deal with. They just cant deal with the Highlanders and our sense of humour and the fact we know how to make our day out enjoyable.Dont allow these Bxxxxxxx to ruin a fantastic day in the hitory of CALEY THISTLE be proud and try to move on .I have.1 point

The whole thing about the Dougie McDonald is Celtic fans seem to think they've been discriminated against. Why? What actually happened? - the referee gave a penalty against Dundee United - it's been conclusively proved that it wasn't a penalty, so the ref rightfully changed his mind. So the up shot is that a. the ref is anti-Dundee United, so was too quick to give a decision against them, or b. the ref is pro-Celtic and was too quick to give a decision for them, or c. Celtic fans believe they should be awarded dodgy penalties and, no matter if the ref is proven right not to award one, they should get the decision in favour of the provincial team. It's Dundee United that should be complaining (and they did) - all Celtic didn't get was a penalty that never was.1 point

Just getting the chance to post from being at the game and haven't read any one else's post so here goes: Before the game it was just hope, my heart said we could take something my head said not so much but deep down I hoped we would, I couldn't think of a worst place personally to lose the run at but never did I think we'd keep it going in the way we did, it was awesome. I hate them and to go to the 'Big Jock New Camp' and get the result we did had me smiling all the way down London Road, it was possibly the only thing that could keep me warm. Each to a man I thought everyone was immense and all stuck to the task, got stuck in and played the type of football that we should be proud of, for a while now I'd been shouting for Duncan and Cox to play in midfield together and I think I've been proved right as to why, we got the ball down from the start and passed it like a true footballing team only really lumping it long when we needed to. We mixed it about but clearly had the advantage on the left and Richie was brilliant at winning the ball from the air. Great credit for the comeback and to have kept going at them and not for the heads to drop is great credit to the management team for installing the belief in the players to just go out and play and keep playing their way. For so long we've not been given any praise for our performances, a bit like last season really when we crept up the first division without notice, but hopefully now we'll start to get the praise we deserve. For me this was right up there with Ayr, with a stepdad who supports Celtic and a brother who supports Rangers to take points from both games was immense but the way we did it today warranted a phone call home on the walk from the game which is usually a no no. Congratulations boys, you deserve all the credit you get and long may it continue.1 point

I actually thought we were better for the 1st hour when we had an extra man in midfield. Celtic brought Towel on for Hooiveld and changed their 3-5-2 to a 4-4-2 allowing them to get a get a firm grip on the midfield. But all of that counts for little when you're up against the kind of spirit that we have in our side. At 2-0, i looked at the way our players were buzzing around the pitch fighting for every ball, moving it forward with intent, and i thought, christ, they actually believe we can get back in this game........feckin legends every one of them.1 point

To your first comment... hilarious!!! Will Rod be rinsing the long term white out of the mullett with a mid brown? To your second comment... don't go there! Buckie is a south west of the Castlecary Arches beverage and should stay there. Morrisons do a cheeky looking little Perry, probably not dissimilar to Pomagne, at 18.7p per unit. The reason I know this is that I did a bit of research the other week in relation to something I was doing with a class... honest!! Tesco then upstaged them with their "Killie Brand" (blue and white vertical stripe Tesco Value) cider which came in at about 15.6p per unit but I don't think you will want to go there either. Your a genius get the class to do your research for you on how to get paralytic for the cheapest possible price after a days teaching and you get paid for it too.1 point

Was lucky enough to be at the match last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bazza totally impressed me - another legend! I'm also at a complete loss to understand why an element of the crowd was booing Brewster all the time - utterly disgraceful considering it was Roy's night and I thought the whole idea of a testimonial was to have a fun night to support a player who's been a true servant of the club. Surely these eejits need to remember this and put stupid grudges aside for one night??? Let's face it, he didn't need to turn up, but he did for Roy's special night and fair play to him for doing so. Some of us also had the misfortune of having missiles lobbed at us from the back of the stand - okay they were only a pencil and a pen, but from a distance these things can injure someone. Why not enjoy the game and keep the childish antics outside the ground???-1 points

Thanks for the report. I don't get the reference to the "Big Jock New Camp." Could you please explain? Excuse my ignorance. Ignore him. He is prob one of those fans who sang sectarian songs at Caley park before and claimed it was getting behind the team. A couple of boys tried to start singing god save the queen but were told to shut the f**k up after 2 seconds so it stopped thankfully. Just to set the record straight I am not one of those fans who used to sing sectarian songs at Caley Park nor have I ever sang sectarian songs and never will. I don't like it or condone it in any shape or form and have been an adversary for it to stop. I challenge anyone who can say they have heard me sing anything like that and I certainly didn't do it yesterday!!!! I was trying to be funny, I don't like Celtic, out of all Scottish clubs they are the ones I hate the most and excuse me for trying to bring a bit of light hearted fun into my post. I've read far worse on here in previous threads and posts.-1 points
