  1. Why must there be anything sinister about Grant being moved on? Yes its sad but its also a fact of football. Every club lets players go. Every manager builds his own team. Butcher has been doing that since he came here and doing it very well so far. Butcher will build a team that plays his type of football. He prefers the passing game. Grant hoofs under pressure. If we are to be successful, as measured by a top six finish, then we have to start playing football and getting consistant results. I believe players will be brought in that can do that. As for the captainsy I dont think there are too many fans who think that aspect was working out for Grant. His performance was clearly affected by the added pressure and as soon as he relinquished that he upped his game.

The fairest solution would be to have the first old firm match midweek so that the game that they miss is an Old firm game. But they wont do that will they Another solution, see if it helps one of our clubs in Europe if they miss a game. What should be an absolute must is that the game that they forfeit MUST be a home game to be played midweek. If they want to go away playing games to make cash and raise the profile of their clubs then it shouldn't be at the expense of other SPL teams.

http://news.bbc.co.u...ll/13509642.stm Having read that - seems its a caveat brought in for the OF, surely this makes a mockery of the SPL as a competition? I know we can do the same, but clearly its not been designed for us smaller clubs, all to favour pandering to OF demands as usual. Poor show SFA If the league kicks off on a certain date and fixtures scheduled then the clubs have to accept that if they want to be part of that league - perhaps those not wanting to play on schedules dates in favour of money making 'glamour' ties should forfit the match on that day and award the teams that are willing and able to play the 3points?
  4. All the very best to a true ICT stalwart that has been treated disgracefully by the club .
  5. Eh ? Red is stop and GREEN is go
  6. I thought we usually signed their best players?
  7. Then they'll complain when they have a fixtures backlog.
  8. Done. Hope fully the postie will hit Topping and Doncaster with the mailbag.
  9. Lose the 60k? Adam has earned us more then 60k in the time he has been here so i wouldnt worry about that
  10. Steve Watt was the big centre-half ICT were crying out for after Dods left. How Brewster thought Phil McGuire was better than him was beyond me!
  11. If someone else comes up with 150 words I'll do it.
  12. agreed players are let go, usually when they have been in and out of the team all season and are not guaranteed a start. This is not the case here. Our first choice centre half who scores goals has been shown the door. Do not agree either that while club captain his form suffered, any particular instances where this was the case?
  13. Excluding penalties how many goals has Rooney scored this season. answered my own question, I make it 10 league goals (excluding penalties) and only 1 goal against top 6 opposition which was about 9 months ago in the 4-0 win over united. 3 goals against the relegated club Hamilton 3 goals against 2nd bottom St Mirren 2 goals against 3rd bottom Hibs 1 goal against 4th bottom Aberdeen and 1 against 4th place United + penalties Not meant to be a put me down against Rooney, just it would make sense to sign for another season and then move on as a quality striker and being picked as first choice up front for a team, instead of signing a year too early. And if theres any scouts reading this you could do a lot worse than signing a defender recently released who scored 2 against Celtic, 1 against Hearts and 1 v Aberdeen last season and thats a defender!! leave Rooney to us to see if we can bring him on a bit more next season.

Grant was 1 of the few who had the balls to stand up to Butcher the bully and Butcher would walk past him and totally ignore him , he hasn't spoke to Grant or Russell for over 2 Months . source? a player that has played most games this season like grant munro i highly doubt terry ignored him Why do you doubt it ? Terry ( like most managers ) has his favourites and Grant and Russell were not in with the in crowd . Butchers mind was made up when Grant was red carded against Aberdeen at the end of January .
