  1. The 2nd penalty highlights what is wrong with football now. It is absolutley not a penalty, the slightest of contact sends the largest player on the football pitch crashing down. I remember watching Italia 90 and commentators nearly laughing at the antics of Jurgen Klinsmann. Nowadays though that is completely accepted as part of the game. The diving, cheating and constant greed of the players is now killing the game. They may all shake hands at the end of the game but its far from an honourable game anymore!

  2. Waited a couple of days to calm down and watch the highlights before attempting to post my reaction. With regards to our play i thought, whilst no where near our best we played reasonably well in spells. We created a couple of good chances for Doran and Foran and had restricted them to a couple of half chances. Very close call for offside for the Jelavic 'goal' and ive seen them go either way. We were very fortunate in the first half with the double hand ball incident involving Jones and Tokely however Norris proceeded to completely lose the plot in the second half. IMO both 'penalty' incidents were wrong. The first one was a solid tackle which took the ball and man the ball, however if you cant tackle nowadays without touching an oppostion player then the game has descended into a sorry state. Definitely the wrong call for the first one and i hope that we appeal the decision. The second was soft and more of a coming together of bodies with the rangers player definitely making the most of it. Unfortunately its an all to frequent part of our game now Even more baffled by the media who claimed rangers deserved to win. Fair enough they had more of the ball but they didnt really create much with it. I really dont see how the referee gifting two penalties equates to a deserving win That is the poorest rangers team i have seen up here in a long time, going to be a long season for McCoist if they continue to play like that It seems we have had a lions share of poor refereeing calls and bad luck with regards to injuries. Our luck really needs to change. And soon!!

  3. Does anyone know if the club are still doing DLA Concessions to games? If so....what are the requirements. In the past, i think the system has been discriminatory, as depsite me qualifying for DLA (which is the MAIN determining factor, without which i wouldnt be considered), because i didnt have a "Carer" i wasnt accepted under the scheme. Now....surely the fact i get DLA should be enuff to qualify. Just coz i dont have a carer shouldnt mean i am not afforded the same privalages as a physially handicapped person. I get DLA on Mental Health grounds....so i feel that the club are demeaning my health issues, just coz i dont have a Carer. PS...i did try about 20 times to email the club thro the new site....but that stoopit forking capatcha thing (whoever came up with that should be shot!!) I obviously wasnt getting the unfathomable wording correct.

  4. At the moment we have to be favourites for the drop but i would say it will be between 4 or 5 teams this season and will be even closer than last year for all the bottom 6 positions. Hibernian, Dunfermline, St Mirren, St Johnstone, Inverness will all struggle this season i think. Kilmarnock and Aberdeen will battle for the top 6 and 7th places.

  5. Talking about penalties, it's about time we had one.

  6. The more I see the penalties, the more I think the ref was compensating for not giving the two hand balls in the first half, both of which were stronger shouts than the ones he gave.

  8. Think I'd go for (if players remain out through injury and suspension) - Esson - - Piermayr - Aldred - Hogg - G. Shinnie - - Tansey - Ross - - Hayes - A. Shinnie - Foran - - Sutherland - Though if Tudor Jones remains out I'd be tempted to play Ross higher up and give Morrison a game alongside Tansey. Either/or. If he is available then play him beside Tansey and Ross up in attacking mid 3. I've not lost faith in Tade. I just think we'll be more effectual with having someone who is more willing to be in the box in Sutherland and he offers something different. Tade does alot of running but we have that in Foran and Hayes so I think we need something else perhaps. Nothing against Tade. Will be a good option of the bench.

  9. Not much I can add that hasn't been said already. I'm not one to play the "bias officials" card as, for the most part, I think they are just crap....but yesterday was about as blatant bias as I have ever seen. Whether that's intentional bias or it results from the pressure refs come under during matches involving the OF is open to debate....what is certain is that the officiating yesterday was far from fair and honest. Feel really sorry for our guys. They might not have been at their best, but they were matching Rangers all over the park and looking the most dangerous on the break. Whether they were doing enough to take anything from the game we'll never know as the Referee took it upon himself to decide the outcome.

  10. If it denies a goal scoring opportunity then yes send him off. There's always a chance the keeper will save it.. Regarding the Tokely challenge though, it wasn't even a penalty. It was a very good challenge. Maybe the question should be what does the SFA do about incompetent refereering?

  11. Naismith should be taken to task over his continual cheating, every week without fail he seems to be the centre of controversy, invariably with a smirk on his face to add insult to injury.

  12. I have to admit to a fair degree of scepticism and sarcasm regarding the manner in which this club has been financially and generally managed in the past. I have to concede that it does appear that the present "Leadreship" have learned from errors in judgement, reactive decision making, naievity and lack of communication with the support. However the business prowess of these "leaders" have improved significantly due to learning lessons, gaining in expereience, reading this forum and developing a professional business acumen. I would wish to emphasisie that despite the fear of other clubs facing harsh times and even fears bout their mere existence - ICTFC is on a firm footing and we are in good hands. Fer fecks sake they have evn brought out a leadership training package. Leadership Training - ICTFC.com

  14. I read so many offerings stating that we were not in it!! If this be the case ... why did it take two 'iffy' penalties to beat us??? If the score was 5-0 I would accept 'we are rubbish' offerings BUT maybe you are all saying 'we are rubbish' and maybe you also feel that Rangers were as well!! I, for one, have high hopes for a good result at Aberdeen .. even if you call my team RUBBISH!!

  16. At the risk of interfering with yer Internet romance madsooz - or can I call ya just mad - dont fret about saying what ya think or feel on here. Of course ya will get red dots but you will also get green dots to scrub them out - in fact ignore the feckin dots as they are usually given by individuals who are not relating to the content of yer post but becos they simply have a different perspective. And there are some bestards who are simply being sarcastic or "fishing" - ya can spot them a feckin mile away  I could be a role model

  17. The way I see it Wilson was signed by Liverpool as a reserve player to be developed for the future. (some synics may even suggest he was removed from Rangers to try and help Celtic) and is unlikely to feature in the Pool first team this season. I cant imagine he's on high earnings at Liverpool and I believe, if they see a future for him, they'd let him go on loan, on favourable terms, to a club that can give hime a regular start. He is also keen to keep himself in Levien's radar and needs games to achieve that. Not sure that he'd get that at Rangers but believe he would at a team like ours. And Terry has shown he's pretty good at moulding youngsters.

  18. I'm shocked you think that. Seemed a great tackle to me. Bobby Moore or Alan Hansen class. Why do you think that? what game were you watching? Ross makes contact with Naysmith's knee before he gets the ball. Not much in it and a difficult call for the ref. Considering the fact there were other valid claims in the first half I don't think we should be feeling cheated at all. Onwards and upwards.
