You have missed quite a few times then, when Richie has shouted/screamed at his team-mates (usually most games) and, eventually, has gone on to make mistakes himself. On Saturday he was shouting at Jonny Tuffey, Rosscoe! and others. Thats criticism, not captaincy. One day our supposed "Captain Courageous" will give credit where credit due, not point the finger into the face or put his hands on a team-mate - eg at Dunfermline in the cup replay (not for a moment do we believe the story re "getting Hayes going"). It's a Team Leader's job to give encouragement where due and/or lead the team when there's a problem - Richie has to tread the fine line as Captain and keep his Irish temper in check. Interpersonal skills and all that.....2 points

I have to say that because we were given a bit more freedom yesterday by the stewards i thought that was the best away day ive been at all season in terms of atmosphere. The way we wheeled the team home towards the end with constant singing put the hairs up on the back of my neck. It meant alot to the players and TB, that was clearly evident. Oh and the fact you could still hear us at full time on Alba through their TV adverts shows we can be well heard, you can only project that kind of noise if your standing up, so i think the stewards deserve a bit of credit for simply leaving us be, even if its taken them forever to do so.2 points

There's quite a few Caley Thistle fans that stay away from Pittodrie - especially after the shambles of last season. Twenty two Caley Thistle fans ejected from the stadium by stewards using force, attempting confrontations with fans and with the stewards behaving like hooligans. On that day, there were no police present at Pittodrie - it was an experiment that backfired. The same happened earlier this season and also well into double figures, Motherwell fans were treated the same way. It made the press aided by Tam Cowan. I was delighted to find out on Saturday that Pittodrie have a revised 'safe standing policy' for the away fans. The back six rows are now reserved for standing. No need for these new flat 'safe standing' seats that's been talked about. Simply crowd control supervision so that there is 1 person to each seat / space. No views are blocked, no hassle, and everyone was 'safe'. They also appeared to have lots of new stewards from the last time. Many people will know instantly who i'm on about when I mention the female steward with the blonde hair who usually stands at the top of the stairs. The same one who i've seen shout and scream at fans and pick on kids at will. I also found out that she has been demoted and is no longer allowed near away fans due to her bullying and intimidating attitude. Pleasing. Suddenly Aberdeen has gone from a poor match day experience to a very enjoyable one! Of course, our win helped! So, I am now looking forward to the next trip to Pittodrie (whilst standing safely).1 point

Dundee, Falkirk or Dingwall for an awayday... No competition there. Looking forward to picking up lots of points when we play them next season.1 point

Yup.... if County win next Saturday and Dundee don't County are champions. And I would imagine the ICT "squeaky bum" squad are also much reassured by their cushion now extended to 11 points with a game in hand? Charles, I fear that some bums are simply unsqueakable. If people don't believe that we are now safe and looking to next season, they are simply so tightly clenched that reality is no longer registering. I'm looking forward to the derbies already.1 point

Smee As you have probably noticed, I try not to single any one out individually to complain about their attitudes--unless attacked, of course. But If you would show up next season and try to remain positive throughout that WOULD be a change. Adversity is normal throughout life but it can only be over come with a positive attitude. Anything else is depressing and counter productive. Please!1 point

What game did you watch? Ugly win? The passing in the first half was excellent, pressed them high up the park and actually played them off it! Tade ran himself into the ground as an integral part of that high pressing game and Sutherland had one of his best games of the season in that "ok" midfield. After Meekings was sent off it was always going to be wagons in a circle time and we dropped off. that's why the midfield looked lost - they were defending. I know you can't please all the people all of the time, but c'mon. edited for spelling1 point

It was a pleasent surprise to be able to stand and chant for an entire SPL match without a stweard telling us to sit and be quiet I was, however, surprised not to see too many hi-viz jackets floating about, as according to the Daily Record in the week, Aberdeen were looking to have 'nominated personel' who will be issues with 'megaphones' to rally up the fans. I really did enjoy the chanting. Some old ones, some new ones, and even a shout or two for past players as the game went on. Superb...1 point

No-one's seemed to have mentioned it yet, but after Gnakpa's attitude meltdown against Kilmarnock he wasn't even on the bench yesterday. I won't be surprised if that's the last we've seen of him.1 point

He was a fine athlete, a darts legend and an unlikely star of Top of the Pops. And then he pissed it all away.1 point

Oh well, seems I was wrong. County have managed to avoid their traditional February/March collapse. They're coming up to the SPL and this is very bad news for us. Hope I'm wrong about that too!1 point

Just back. I've been hyper-critical of recent performances so I think it's only fair that this time I give oodles of credit to the players for a really gutsy display. It did no harm to our chances that Aberdeen were absolutely hopeless today - even with the extra man they forced Tuffey into only one half-decent save in the second half. It was a significant change in shape from recent weeks - the addition of Jones very much turned it into a 4-3-3/4-5-1. Tansey played a bit further forward than OTJ and Foran but not to the extend that Nick Ross or Andy Shinnie normally would. I thought that the extra midfielder meant we were far better in possession than in recent games, and there was little sign of high balls being punted at McKay, thank goodness. We were hugely superior in the first half, especially after the goal. Tade legged it from one flank to another, played McKay through, and with the goalie hideously out of position McKay took it round him and cut it back cleverly from the by-line for Tade to stick into an empty net. A really well-worked goal, I thought. Foran was denied a second by a goalline clearance, and Tade and McKay were causing all sorts of problems. The main concern at half-time was that we only had one goal to show for our dominance - Aberdeen couldn't be any worse than in the first half. After Meekings was sent off (no complaints - two blatant and foolish bookings), Butcher gambled on packing the pitch with defensive players and hanging on - it wasn't pretty but it worked well. Tade actually should have had another after a defensive blunder, but scuffed it wide with only the goalie to beat. But our backline dealt with everything that was thrown at them. There were no lucky breaks for the Dons, and they didn't deserve any. I lost count of how often Golobart headed the ball in the last 10 minutes. The Spaniard had one or two 'moments' but otherwise I thought he was sensational. That was Rossco's best performance in ages too, and Graeme Shinnie had a superb game. I'm really pleased for Tuffers, who oozed confidence and had a couple of really good punches. Even those guys who didn't play brilliantly put in heroic shifts. Tade and Foran in particular looked like they were going to keel over at the end. McKay also deserves an honourable mention - he had a super game but had to be hooked after Meekings was sent off. I can't be bothered going looking for negatives. That was a superb result and a display of real character from the ICT boys today - well done!1 point

Aye, its called the centenary club. Alex's post reiterates what i wrote in the post 'Muirfield mills' we just dont get our act together as a community club and get investment in as much as Saints. Until we have a change at the top and alter our amateur set-up nothing is going to happen.1 point
