  1. Please yourself who you watch next season but do us a favour and don't call youself a supporter. Supporters stick by their team through thick and thin

  2. I think pathetic sums up that performance and that might even be an understatement. Again with this comment people will argue but for me personally, Butcher is NOT the man for the job.

  4. Very disheartening performance and tbh its getting one too many for me this season. Time and time again we huffed and puffed and fail to blow the Aberdeen defence down and also yet again our own defensive lapses come back to haunt us. I didnt have a good view for Golobarts OG but he seemed to be under little pressure and yet again we fell behind after being the dominant side. Aberdeen did little to test us throughout the entire game and the only clear cut chance they had was when Magennis took advantage of some unique defending from Proctor who was barely on the pitch before getting owned. Dont care what Butcher has to say and dont care what the team has to say. You werent good enough but its past the point where words mean anything. Start putting your words into perspective and get your act together. Half of you have futures to play for and quite frankly based on today if thats your idea of earning your stay you can feck off.

  5. Why are you repying? Why are you posting on a Caley Thistle fan site if you have now switched to supporting County? When County get relegated, maybe not next year but whenever it comes, who will you jump ship and start supporting then? Whoever is playing well I guess, worse than a gloryhunting old firm fan. They just stop going to games when they are losing, not pick a new team who is winning.. Dont let the door hit you on the arse when you leave...

  6. You can't judge anyone on future performances, your only as good as your last games. This is a performance based industry, and ICT,s perfoances have not been good enough. Thankfully other clubs have been equally poor.

  7. Was not expecting much in the way of football today but it was even worse than that!! I am sure we will see better from the Legends tomorrow.

  8. It was very strange sitting in the North Stand with barely anyone around for the last several minutes. Might have to get used to it for next season going by how many folk are saying they've had enough! As for the game - missed the first half, wished I missed the whole thing tbh. 3 free kicks at the edge of the box and few other chances and not one shot on target, pitiful. Get Golobart up as centre forward must have a better chance than the other duds. What's his goal tally? 5? Could be top scorer. Shame most are the at the wrong end mind.

  9. I left after the second goal went in only to see most of the North stand was following me, it must have been empty at the whistle. What dross, a goal behind ,minutes left and they take off Jonny for Procter then concede another goal. Dire stuff.

  10. To lose an SPL game by two own goals is an embarrassment. I am sure people will not continue to pay to watch that kind of performance next season. I wonder what TB will say in reaction to the game today.

  12. I neither watched or listened to the match so can't comment on the perfomance myself but it sounds pretty poor. I have been one of many who has expressed the view that some of this season's poor results and poor performances can be put down to the injuries we have had throughout the season. We still have Hogg and Shinnie out but that is only 2 long term. It seams that as players have come back and the injuries have eased we've got worse rather than better. Has Winnall got a "no play" clause in his loan deal? We're losing and the manager takes Hayes off and replaces him with Proctor! I actually have a lot of time for Proctor but when we need goals and you have a striker on the bench, why replace an attacker with a defender? I worry about the tactical nous of our manager at times. Perhaps that knock on the head all those years ago did more damage than was realised.

  13. For me Butcher is NOT the man for the job. His team his responsibility for our poor season. People often comment who could we get the was any better, I would say who could do any worse. Not investing in another season ticket to watch another season of dross.

  14. As I've typed many times before on CTO, if only we had two hugely experienced international defenders in charge of our team we might be able to defend. Abysmal against a very, very poor Aberdeen. No doubt we will read all the 'he was great' or 'referee was biased' or 'we only need a break' or 'Tade works hard' or, worst of all, lots of posters typing I BELIEVE in big letters in a show of devotion and defiance. Similar really to the view held by Rangers fans that stating 'We Are The People' at random moments in time will save them from liquidation. Sad really.

  17. 4-3 Pars. Even though they're losing they at least still sound as if they're fighting, where as we sound like we can't be ersed! They've got more to fight for or we're just not very good at all and lucky for them?

  18. So much fuss over the alleged comments of the two bit chairman of a two bit football team

  19. 9 Goals (all from open play) despite being played out of position for large parts of the season and not having a suitable partner up front for the rest. Only thing that surprises me is that there's not other teams chasing his signature.

  21. Also, it has taken County 82 years to reach the SPL. Caley Thistle did it in 10 years. :fingers:

  22. I don't accept the "technically correct" theory. Inverness Thistle FC and Caledonian FC merged upon entry to the SFL.....so "technically" C*unty are the third team from the Highland League to make it to the SPL.

  23. I haven't read any of the post other than the title as I didn't want to be swayed by anyone elses response before posting but in a word yes I do believe he is the man for the job however like most managers he isn't the complete package and has his faults like everyone else does. On the whole I can see what he is setting out to achieve by trying to build his own team and try and put across his own style of play and in some respects in terms of play you can see that as we have drastically cut out the long hoof up field but it still shows through sometimes, the problem though in my eyes is he changed the squad far too drastically at the end of last season whether that be through his own doing or not. I tend to think he was given a budget and told he had free reign to do what he wanted but to stick to the budget and thought he could bring in better players than he did and out of necessity ended up bringing in loanees to bolster the squad. This coupled with the lack of quality that he brought in has caused the style of play he is trying to enforce to suffer as the players aren't capable of what he is asking but to that his failing is he isn't able to adapt it to suit what he has available. That along with wanting to lower the average age of the squad meant we suffered with too little experience - just my opinion and observation. Saying that you can't take away from the fact that after going down on the last day he brought us straight back up, yes we didn't start well that season but he turned it round and we all remember the run we went on and I along with many stood on the pitch in Ayr and lauded him as he addressed everyone. We all praised him with last seasons efforts but yet so many want to get on his back for this season which is notoriously harder than the first season after coming up. In some ways maybe he's suffered by having a bit more to work with, we come up from the First Division and are still on a tight budget so he has to work with what he's got, second season in Premier and we have more of a budget and he changes it, not sure it's that simple but along those lines. What's for sure is that in order for him to win over those that are usure about him just now is he needs to adapt and certainly needs to sort out the use of subs and also the ability to change a formation or style of play to influence a game and definately earlier than he does at the moment. I also think he needs to melow out a wee bit and change the way he comes across towards players, it may have worked over the past two seasons but the team was older and could probably deal with it better, this squad is young and maybe need more of a gentler approach towards them as there is no doubt he leads with an iron fist. I have no doubt that without TB in charge from when he was we would still have went down but stayed down and languished in the First Division like Dundee have, we have many things to thank TB for but for me next season is the make or break, it'll determine whether or not what he's been trying has paid off or not. I am one of those that hopes that's true and still stand by him. The other question I ask is, who really could we attract that would do a better job and give us the style of play that as fans we all crave for? The only one I came up with is now in a job and very much vastly under-rated in my mind - John Collins
