  1. We are where we are, not everyone is in agreement as to how it happened, whether or not it should have happened and if it was avoidable...but right now, that matters not. The points on the board are fixed, they are in the past, we can do nothing about them and every moment spent pondering over them is a moment less spent on getting us over the final hurdle and getting the one point we need to secure SPL status for next season. It's a big ask, and it will be beyond some, but can we set aside all the other stuff and just get behind ICT until that objective is achieved? I'm not asking anyone to support a manager, player, board member or anyone else they may have an issue with....I'm asking that everyone show support for the one thing that binds us all....Inverness Caledonain Thistle FC. If you are able, then get along to the game on Wednesday night. I know some people are at the stage of not wishing to part with any more money and/or effort to watch the team this season, but if the fans aren't willing to step up to the plate when it's needed to do everything in their power to help and support ICT then who is? If you aren't willing, then I ask that choose not to beat up on those who are just because they choose to be a little more positive, objective or supportive. If you want to brand such people as happy clappers, wearers of rose tinted specs, delusional or whatever....then can you please save it until the job is done (or not done and you can gloat and come back with all the "told you so's" you like). If any of the players happen to be reading this, then I make the same plea to you. Forget everything up until now and put every moment of thought and preparation into giving Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC your best game when you take to the park against Dunfermline, and if it doesn't happen against Dunfermline then take it to St Mirren and if needs be on against Hibs. ICT's biggest strength has always been that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Let us not be divided, let us not be conquered.

  3. Very sad indeed and a few tears were shed at Rugby Park. The football as entertaining as it was just faded into the background as this traumatic event unfolded less than three yards from us. One of our own fans went over to help him to his feet but it was obvious from there on that the medics were fighting a losing battle. I have to say that the doctor was onto it in a flash and tried his best to revive the fan but to no avail. Great effort by the team to try to revive him, they were doing their utmost for half an hour or so. Well done to the Inverness fans for raising the incident as quick as possible, unfortunately no amount of aid was able to reverse the process. Saddest event I have ever witnessed at a football match. RIP John.

  4. Tonight I attended the above event at the stadium with a number of others from the Supporters Trust. James Proctor who works for the SFA held a fans workshop to look at the good and bad of Scottish football. It was a really interesting evening and great to feel like we have had some input to the future of Scottish football. They hope to put together some kind of Fan's Charter, but instead of starting with a paper and making comments, they have decided to speak to the fans first. It's a shame that a few more folk, who had been invited to attend, couldn't make it along, but there were enough of us there to contribute to the workshop style evening. I'm particularly disappointed that there was no representative from Ross County as I think it would have opened up some good debate. Well done to James Proctor and the SFA for taking this event to Inverness and I really hope that our contributions are helpful in some way.

  8. There was a delay in getting the prices as they were considering an end of season discounted game when I spoke to them on Friday. Obviously decided to stick with normal league prices though. Highland Marchers will do a lap on the pitch before kick off, so make sure you arrive nice and early to give them your support before they head up the road.

  9. I noticed he's just been chucked by Bristol City. I'm sure he will have a list of suitors but given he worked under both Tel and Mo is it beyond the realms of possibility that he may fancy a fresh start back in the SPL? We are looking for a striker after all with proven ability.

  10. Could it be that if crowds varying in numbers from 200 to 3000 make you feel sick your actually suffering from agoraphobia?

  11. Just because Aberdeen have said they are going to talk to him doesn't mean the player has any intention of listening and/or agreeing to join them. We need to get a bit more streetwise with these things. Aberdeen know that Hayes will have better offers from elsewhere (if his intention is to leave), but if they can distract an opponent by showing an intention to speak to their players then why not? We should be out there doing the same...looking at out of contract players of other teams in the bottom 6 and telling journos that we're interested in them. Plus, you never know, we might end up getting a surprise hit that we thought was otherwise out of reach.

  14. I'll be there, just as always. I don't mind being called a happy clapper - I've likely been called worse over the years! I don't think I have rose-tinted specs, but I do support my team, through thick and thin, and so, very well said Don. Come on, ICT, show us true spirit, especially now when its needed. We really don't want a last day of the season scenario v Hibs, that would be too much to bear.

  15. Eco whats been said above think a minute silence would be very appropriate. It would give us the fellow fans how witnessed the sad events to pay respect collectively.Very sad indeed. RIP.

  19. As it happens defeat was the last thing on our minds on the long journey home.A very very sad day for ICT fans .Heartfelt condolences to the family of the gentleman who did turn up to support his team but sadly didnt return home. I would like to mention all our young fans who were very brave and dignified during the horrifiic scene unfolding in front of them.

  20. The club have been in touch with me this morning and asked that I post the following on their behalf.... Capital Caley: We are not sure what his source of information is or the reasons behind his post on Gavin are, but the facts are as follows: No fees are involved, the club (ICTFC) are paying his wage, so we are "not saving money". It is certainly not about money and we see this as an investment in his future and an opportunity to broaden his experience. The reason he has been given this opportunity is exactly as the manager stated to allow him to get that experience. The manager (as stated in the press last week) thinks Gavin has a big future (with our club) but requires to get games under his belt. He is not out in Iceland so we can sell him on, he is worth more to the club as a player than any compensation/ development fees we would ever get at this stage of his career. As stated above he needs competitive games and the Icelandic opportunity came up and suits all parties including Gavin who jumped at the chance. If Capital Caley wants to pop in to the stadium for a chat on this please feel free to do so.
