  2. Any talk of selling players for big money leaves me cold. I go to watch football matches to see good players playing well and getting good results - not to watch a club's bank balance. If we have success on the park then the cash will roll in. Maybe not as quickly as a "quick fix" sale but it will roll in.

  3. Thankyou for your FEEDback Caley D .... I can assure you i am fully focused on how well ICT are doing & rellishing every moment ! I don't feel presentation is a small issue therefor we should be highly professional in every department on & off the pitch ! . No need to get personal in name calling you should appreciate advice from a loyal fan ! & at the end of the day we all want whats best for ICT .... Ps . i dont think you announced the scorer for Dundee yesterday !.....

You come on to a public web site you are particulary rude. You show no respect to the people who set up this forum, they provided a platform for discussion If you do not wish to discuss it is particulary rude to yawn and make fun of the poster I come from a different generation to you ( I think) where we had to work long hours, we had poor schooling, we did not have the oportunies that people have today, but most of all we were taught to respect older people

  5. Nice one Kingsmills. Some fine attacking play again today and I feel so chuffed to be 2nd top at Christmas, with so many good goals scored, plus being so far ahead of the Dingers, that I have no wish to have a go at anyone. As a football fan this won't last of course but right now it's all good. Peace and goodwill to all who reside in the Sneck and those who support us from afar

  6. Fab result and some fab goals. Well done to all our ICT heroes yet again. We seem to like scoring 4 goals against teams from Dundee!! As others have said, the crowd of only 3,003 was disappointing but what I do notice now is the change in mood of the crowd - even if its a small crowd. Its easy to sing when yer winning but there is a really pleasant atmosphere in the ground these days (well, at least in the North Stand - not too sure about the sweetie paper rustlers in the Main Stand ). We might not have big crowds but we are loyal. Quality rather than quantity!! The real losers are the couch potatoes and those who would rather go shopping than watch the mighty ICT. I'm afraid to miss a game these days because we are sure to score a barrowload of goals. I just love when OTJ takes a shot from distance. Its like watching a heat-seeking missile finding its target.

  7. Easily my MOTM today. What a player he's turning out to be this season. Hopefully he's over his injury problems, because he really has been a commanding figure in the middle for us. Always looks really composed on the ball, seems to make himself time to look up and normally pick the right pass, and is pretty formidable in the tackle. And a cracking shot on him too. As deserved are the plaudits for Shinnie and McKays, keeping hold of OTJ must be a major priority.

  8. I think the club should build a big advertising board, the size of the missing stand. Sell advertising on the outside and paint the inside as an image of a full stand. Standing of course. It would generate revenue. Keep the noise in. maybe even cut down on the wind swirl. and be relatively simple to design / construct. It could also house the Jumbotron. It would also provide a better backdrop for using as a stadium concert setting, acoustically and visually. Local artist could be hired to insert real fans into the visible first rows or two, to be sold to those fans wishing to have themselves in the mural, places for fans to be honoured in life and beyond. Hall of fame section of managers and players? What do you think? I think I had too much coffee

  10. From BBC website Kenny Shiels, Kilmarnock: What we've achieved in 2012 has far surpassed what any other club in Scotland have achieved," "Under the circumstances, way, way far ahead of any other club. It's immense what we achieved, absolutely immense." Derek and Kenny. Separated at birth?

  11. Congratulations to Gringo on another fine selection this week. ( Rangers will lose again, probably the week you don't pick their oppononents or the week after you run out of points) :ictscarf:

  12. Having cheered and cried in the Howden end, marvelled at a young Mr Christie from the cinders at Kingsmills and avoided one or two right hooks at Grant St, life is all about change, nothing lasts forever but the present is there to be enjoyed. Celtic Inverness Caledonian Thistle the rest.....

  13. Don't you just hate it when your enjoyment of the Tannoy is ruined by an attractive game of football breaking out on the grassy area in front of the stand.

  14. Fanoffooty, I had a word with the announcer and he apologises for getting a little over excited and screaming into the mic a little more than he should. He also reassured me that he is amply fed...in fact, maybe a little over fed!!! He also told me that he would announce the other results if not for an issue with the wireless connection in the announcers box...but this is being looked in to. He also said that you really must be a bit of a tit if you're watching ICT this season and are more caught up in such small issues instead of relishing what is being achieved on the pitch.

  15. I'm always delighted to see OTJ take a shot from distance. His power and accuracy when shooting from distance is really impressive. For a big lad he has a neat touch when under pressure. Having been at the last Wales v Scotland match in Cardiff - Gareth Bale and Ramsay apart - OTJ is as good, if not better, than those who played for Wales that evening.

  17. Key difference between the sides was when ICT attacked. When we did we looked like we could score with most of our chances. Dundee however looked somewhat toothless by comparison. Nish was a handful as usual but his finishing was poor and Baird ran about a lot but didn't really get into good positions. Riley was perhaps the best Dundee player. Douglas also had a good game. Dundee certainly started the better team of the two but once we got going there was only going to be one winner. The penalty seemed to be the result of a rash challenge by a Dundee defender who looked to have barged over Richie Foran after Douglas was forced into two great saves. McKey struck home the penalty confidently. Dundee equalised after some good play down the ICT right before the ball was switched across to Riley on the other flank. He smashed a low drive in off the post. ICT roared back when Tudor Jones found himself with some space at the edge and he fizzed in a "daisy cutter" beyond a despairing Douglas. The third goal for ICT was bizarre. A short backpass was seized upon by McKay who saw his initial effort blocked by Douglas and then he seemed to flick the ball into the goal whilst on his backside and being tackled by Douglas, a Dundee defender and Andrew Shinnie. The fourth was a fantastic run by Andrew Shinnie who drifted inside from the left flank and ghosted past two Dundee defenders and rifled a shot past Douglas. A deserved win for ICT but they were made to work hard for a while by a Dundee team who, at times, played some really nice football. ICT also continued with the pleasing style of football that the fans have craved for yet some of those same fans refuse to come along to games. There is definitely a desire to get the ball down and look for a team mate instead of thumping the ball aimlessly down the pitch for a striker to chase. A very poor 3,000 odd there today with a healthy 150 - 200 up from Dundee. This ICT team is playing some of the best football I have seen in along time in Inverness and scoring buckets of goals to boot yet crowds seem to be remaining very poor overall. Certainly the last weekend before Christmas could be looked on as a factor for the poor crowd today but it's a real shame as there is no way we can keep players like Andrew Shinnie, McKay etc on such poor crowds.

  18. I said it the season we signed him and i'll say it again, this guy is a real class act. He just strides through the games with such control and composure. Himself and Draper have been integral to our much improved defensive performances this season and long may it continue. They work brilliantly together and it was great to see both of them taking turns at pressing Dundee high up the pitch today and that forced them into make mistakes. Jones has some real ability there and the longer we can keep him and preferably Draper alongside him, the better. Big thumbs up for the MOTM today

  19. Though otj and andy shinnie were absolutely fantastic today. Otj didn't misplace a pass all day. Never lost possession, and the finish for the second goal was fantastic. I thought that was the best Andy shinnie performance since we beat county 3-1, drove at the dundee defense, played the right ball most the time and kept trying to get that elusive goal, never giving up. And he was rewarded with his 10th of the season.

  20. Owen will surely get another chance in the Welsh team with current performances. We are very privileged to see the class of our players this season.

  21. There Isnt a single player on out books who I could fault right now! Although i wonder if Chris Hogg is worried! How is he going to break back into our defence once he is fit!

  22. I'm pretty sure Ross is saying OTJ was flawless but that others were poor. I certainly agree that OTJ was magnificent, some of his balls in behind the Dundee full backs were wonderful, but I don't agree that there were a lot of poor performers today. Sure some of the players may not have hit the heights of others on the day but they were all good enough for me.

  23. We are not in a false position imo, we are where we deserve to be due to excellent performances and resilience. Just like we will be where we deserve to be at the end of the season wherever that may be. Not having self belief is something that will only hold back a smaller club.

  24. I just wanted to offer my thanks to the Club & MFR for the Video updates that are posted each week. Both Pre & Post match Interviews with players & TB are fantastic and a huge difference from just a season or so a go when we had very little. A lot of us moan about things a lot but few of us manage to congratulate the club when credit is due! Finally with a gelled team and a great league position; this should end up being a season to remember, no matter how it ends! Keep it up ICT

  26. Free tickets for school kids was good when i was a primary school watching caley in the 90's. Maybe the club could offer free or cheap transport to away games. Maybe even some free shuttle buses from the different areas of inverness to the stadiums on match days. buses from Holm/Hilton/Drakies/Dalniegh etc
