I'm not sure if it's been mentioned already, but there didn't seem to be any police at the game on Saturday and there was no segregation apart from the seating (so much so that upon arrival, I accidentally wandered into the home end!), with both sets of fans using the same pie stalls and toilets etc. Supposedly this is quite common at Fir Park, unless it's a big game. I would have thought as well that this'll save Motherwell police costs in the process. Surely this is something ICT should look into in the future?3 points

Just home from watching this game. Lovely bit of weather for the game which was an added bonus. We started the game very brightly and attacked at Falkirk's defence. Falkirk conceeded the first corner and then Shane Sutherland got a head to it to make it 1-0. After the first goal and then the game died down a bit and both teams were attacking at each other. Falkirk finally found a break through with a tremendous strike from outside the box to equalise for the away side. Currently we are in a battle of who is the better keeper but no way would Ryan Esson or Scott Mathieson catch that ball. Like the first goal, the game died down after that goal and it was half time. After half time, we restarted the game brightly and kept attacking at them. As time went on the game became even and you didn't know who was going to win the game. Unfortunately, Antonio Regeuro miss kicked the ball and it went to the Falkirk attacker and it was 2-1. We never really seem to get back into it after that goal. One thing I thought was really strange is we conceeded a in-direct free kick from a pass back pick up situation. Don't know what happened there. On a sour note, Connor Pepper and a Falkirk defender went to head the ball at the same time near the end off FT and Connor came off worse in the situation. You could see staff quickly running to aid Connor and you knew it was a bad one. Connor was then taken off and as we used 3 subs, we finished the game with 10 men. All in all a good performance from the youngsters. They were more attacking than Falkirk were and I felt we should of got more out of the game. My man of the match would go to Matthew Cooper. Him and Daniel Devine were very composed at the centre defence. Jordon Gibbons, when he signed I thought he was a winger but today he played in centre mid and put in a good shift. There was a young lad who played at left back was Number 3 and I thought he played really well. First Team Players involved today: Shane Sutherland, Antonio Reguero, Daniel Devine, Connor Pepper, Jordon Gibbons, Charlie Taylor, Matthew Cooper and Liam Polworth.3 points

Of course this subject was covered at the weekend on BBC Scotland radio and one of the pundits trotted out the line about how well C*unty have been doing with attendances compared to us. It was then revealed by the wassock spouting this drivel that they had got most of this from Uncle Roy OTB. Surprise surprise. Some good stats have been posted on this site not all that long ago to show average attendances in the SPL over the last few years, and also for our average attendances as compared to Caley and Thistle in the HL days. Made for interesting comparisons and it would seem we are not along in seeing a general fall in attendances. We have to realise that we live in the digital age. When I started taking an interest in football, there was no such thing as a 5th TV channel - let alone dedicated sports channels beamed directly to your 52" LCD TV! There is so much more to capture the attention of people nowadays that it will forever be a struggle in a cold and damp wee country to encourage people to leave the warmth and comfort of their home or local hostelry to go stand in a stadium and watch it live, when they could be watching it on screen with reverse angles and replays to show the goal / foul / controversial incident ad nauseum. And that's assuming they are not watching Spanish league of course. For one I think our attendances are not so bad, when compared to others with much larger and concentrated populations that are served with a much better transport infrastructure as well. Could always be better of course!3 points

Something's not right though, as just the other day we were quoted as being second lowest after Perth saints, with the cabbagemen being a couple of hundred better off...... I imagine football clubs are free to quote any figures they like. I also imagine the counters built into the turnstiles are what really matter to HMRC and these days they'll be about as difficult to 'clock' as a modern car, i.e. fairly difficult. As for uncle Roy - I'm sure CB that you have to keep a foot in both camps and appear neutral. However I have both feet planted on the same side of the bridge and even allowing for my personal bias, it's clear that Roy has been fighting a propaganda war against ICT for many years. RCFC's crowd figures have long been a subject of ridicule amongst fans of clubs such as Partick, St Mirren, Morton and Falkirk. Although they reported 3055 against Hibernian a couple of mid weeks ago, one jailender (ok, anecdotal evidence again!) reckoned the actual attendance was about 1800.....2 points

Say what you like about Roberts but there is absolutely no chance that he rates below the likes of Gnapka.2 points

Disappointing, and the first game in the recent unfortunate run where I would say we got what we deserved. Wouldn't argue with too many of the observations made by people who were at the game today, but it does grate when individuals seem to get some kind of perverse pleasure from seeing the team do poorly so they can get on their high horse. As for the assertions that the "Togetherness" is lost....not for me. I don't give up that easy on my team and I don't believe our team has given up on us. Thankfully the mindset that the team only deserve our support and backing when things are going well only seems to exist among a minority of fans.2 points

I've no reason to doubt that Terry has valid reasons for picking Ross/Roberts/Sutherland/Polworth over Pepper in recent weeks, but it's a wee bit disappointing all the same, as well all had high hopes earlier in the season that we'd uncovered a gem. Pepper has made more impact coming off the bench in his handful of games than Shane has in about 60 similar opportunities.1 point

The fans used to sing at Kineer , Joey Joey give us a wave?. If he didn't , They sang " You fat bar steward " , or similar I wonder how Butcher would react to that?1 point

Im assuming any mouthy git would be welcomed by the players if their voice is added to a chant. Only 3 home games left help them on their way to the top six, United, County and St Johnstone for game 331 point

If I had my way, those sitting in the areas designated for home support who then abuse the home team and management on a match day should be removed by the stewards and dumped into the areas designated for the away support. The only people who benefit from their ill considered behaviour is the away team so they might as well sit there. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but in my view, this is the place to express it. I certainly don't agree with everything the manager does and have been very critical of him at times. But at least on the website you can make your point in a civilised way and debate the issues. Offering constructive criticism is actually a supportive thing to do because it allows those that the criticism is aimed at to consider a different point of view. And just a brief word on booing. Someone said on another thread that the booing of Philip Roberts when he came on a sub was more to do with expressing displeasure at the fact that a substitution was being made at all. Some will saying that booing at the end of the game on Wednesday was directed at the referee. What complete b*llocks. When you are on the park and hear booing, that's all you hear. You don't get a little message with it saying that it is directed at someone else. It's ignorant and only serves to anger those who we should be supporting. No doubt there are those who will say that we pay good money to be entertained and if those being paid don't deliver the goods then we have every right to boo. I understand that point of view but what purpose does it serve? Will it help them play better next time? No. Will it encourage them to stay at the club? No. If the performance doesn't warrant staying to cheer them of the park then just stay silent. The lack of applause will make it clear to them that they've let the fans down - that's quite enough without having abuse hurled at them.1 point

Bit of an OG tbh. If Eden court had a very passionate Manager who wanted to make it run as well as he could and was disappointed that it wasnt always full, I dont think telling the public that they dont deserve to have a theater in Inverness would be the answer but I would have to have access to the whole conversation as it may just be taken out of context to make a better story. The ironic thing is, considering it was an absolutely miserable wet and windy night with hardly any away fans I thought the attendance wasnt that bad. Kenny who manages another of the smaller SPL clubs summed it up pretty well. Its a bit of a storm in a tea cup or perhaps more of a storm in a stadium.1 point

Sorry but we have been tactically sussed out - it was clear too many weeks ago - This has been a GOOD season but it is in danger of falling apart. We have ONE system - we are trying to put replacements in to that system who do not fit - we have not got anything other than Plan A - we are sticking to some players instead of looking at alternatives - we can not adjust to counter the formations and danger men of the opposition - we have become predictable to every other coach in the SPL. We are basically tactically inept.1 point
