  1. The club formerly known as Rangers has feck all to do with this!

In an industry no short in hypocrisy surely the erector of rather shabbily finished houses takes the biscuit. The man who formerly ranked second only to Terry Wogan as a sporter of dodgy hairpieces bleated long and loud on the steps of Hampden yesterday about how unfair and antidemocratic it was that two clubs were able to scupper the plans of the great majority. Surely that can't be the same man who is the last remaining original architect of the voting system that was originally designed to provide an effective veto for the ugly sisters and who was the only chairman who lined up with Celtic when the other clubs were of a mind to make the organisation more democratic earlier this season. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Scottish football's greatest hypocrite.
  3. * Global Energy Warming Sandpit Fixed You can come and heckle with me! Guess I could could get the pompoms out and cheerlead!
  4. As above its a great achievement for the club and a tie anywhere would and should be celebrated - obviously if we were to get a draw against some 'minnows' from Cyprus or Malta then its sunny holiday & football time - if not its Ireland and some Guinness in the rain!!!

Aye this Georgian guy. He's still only about 17 I believe and hasn't officially signed up, but he looks like he's got potential from what I've seen. Don't know how to spell his name mind!
  6. With respect Laurence if we are fortunate enough to qualify for Europe it will be an event whoever we play. A bit disrespectful to the Irish teams you mention in my view.
  7. Non event? I was in Derry last year and had a wonderful time. Are you not confusing it with Bury? I heard you went to Latvia last year but you've forgotten!
  8. Caught on video, his "downfall". http://meemsy.com/v/5592
  9. If he does sign a pre-contract he can always just change his mind. Personal reasons and all that.
  10. "BBC Scotland has learned..." Translation: We read about this on CaleyThistleOnline
  11. Teuchter United!
  12. I was quite surprised when I read that as well. Reconstruction and much needed re-distribution of finances were abandoned because members of staff / fans at a certain football club were 'confused'!!! Most people from every other club understood what the set up would have been. It's also strange that all 12 SPL Chairmen (including County and Midden) agreed to this new set up a few months ago when it was first publicly proposed by the SPL. All 12 agreed on the structure / rules and went back to their clubs. Then at the last minute, County were seemingly 'confused' about the set up and Midden wanted to change various parts of the voting structure. Judging by some of the comments in the press, most chairmen were not happy with 100% of what was on offer. However, after months of planning and negotiating with various compromises to suit the desire of various clubs, for Midden to come in at the last minute with new demands is ridiculous. Some compromise was given but they wanted it all. How can clubs go forward if various Chairmen agree to compromises but 1 club won't (and another club are confused?!). The fans have said they don't want the SPL and the league structure in it's current format. The re-distribution of money would have helped the SFL clubs like Raith Rovers and Greenock Morton. Overall Scottish football would have been healthier. Still with major problems and still not a 'perfect' league, but a heck of a lot better than what we've got now. I can't understand how Midden would prefer the current situation!? If they wanted various changes, they would have got at least some of it with the new structure. Why would they then vote to get no changes whatsoever?! I hope that they get relegated next season and after 22 games are adrift by a record number of points for the 12th team!
  13. Why don't we just call ourselves Caledonian FC ?
  14. Just had to give this a bump. Still laughing.
  15. "Granted I missed out on David Proctor"
  16. Ta for the great feedback on that wee sketch. It has been viewed about 2,900 times now which pretty much equates to our core support - although I hope it has reached plenty people of the County persuasion as well. Except perhaps their lawyers. As you can imagine, it was a lot of fun to write a 4 minute rant with as much County related banter as possible. My personal favourite bit though was simply when the officer clearly says "Mein Fuhrer," which is something everyone understands. Struggled for ages what to do there, then in a light bulb moment "Gaffer" seemed the obvious translation in the context of Scottish football. And the eagle-eyed (or eared?) might also have noticed that "seething!" actually replaces "Stalin!"
  17. Jingle bells jingle bells County are a farce A well placed pass by Andrew Shinnie Has Roscoe on his ar@e
  18. Get me Rory McAllister!
  19. Cheers, feel free to stick it on the County site or P&B next time you are there!
