Agree, although we are never going to be in a position to have inspiring names - maybe linked but not realistic targets sadly. While I'd like to see some good young players from the SFL or other SPL clubs, sadly it looks like Rangers are now trying to sign them all up so they will always move for money rather than SPL football :( I see the Dons are in talks with John Sutton, could be a good partner for Billy IMO1 point

This is along the lines of managers being cited for swearing. Former player enjoys winding up rival fans of ex-club in media before match. Said player cups ear after another players goal and runs past away fans. Said player's friend expects said fans to chuckle and finger wag a la Last of the Summer Wine. It's a forum, not the bill of rights. It's football, not mahjong. It's 99% banter, and that's all. The other 1% is indicative of nowt, as is with world in general. Think he's off anyway, and I have heard/ seen enough in the last week to see why T B got rid.1 point

Today's Press and Journal reports that while deals have been agreed with Adam Evans, Ben Greenhalgh and Danny Williams, three more players have agreed to sign deals once their current contracts expire, reportedly at the beginning of June. Obviously seeing as they are still contracted to their respective clubs their names cannot be revealed at present. Seems to be a lot of speculation that James Vincent may be one, Robbie Thomson possibly another?1 point

Regards Caley or Thistle supporters not coming to the New club,I used to watch Highland League football for years, either Lossie or Elgin and never ran with the so called Old Firm supporters or Aberdeen. So when this merger happened it was a new League club only thirty odd miles away,so I came along and liked what I saw. So how many of todays Caley Thistle supporters are like myself, would be interesting to find out. I also see that the North Stand is at its noisiest when all the young guys, who were probably all in primary school 20 years ago,so they don't give a toss for this Thistle/Caley thing1 point

Think Martin is an old Inverness High School boy. Think he teaches in Nairn? Seen him at most home games and some away ones too.1 point

I tell you what's quite funny this season is the way that County have marketed themselves as one big family. And indeed, they've done that well - a classic dysfunctional family. You've got the Sugardaddy, the ultra-Christian assaulter Derek Adams, the driving banned Kovacevic and the breaking and entering Rocco Quinn . The only person missing is Jeremy Kyle!1 point

There we go, cast iron proof that Mr Bannerman is wrong about the number of refuseniks. I mean if someone lives in Inverness now, then it goes without saying that they must have followed, without necessarily attending, either Caledonian or Thistle 20 years ago mustn't they. All im saying is, crowds SHOULD be a lot healthier than they are but the merger turned a hell of a lot more people OFF ICT than just those who attended games in the Old Highland League.Caley Used to get BIGGER crowds in the Highland Leage (back in the day), when inverness was about 1/3rd of the population, than ICT gets in the SPL. Thats a FACT!! Fecks sake, in 'those' days there was feck all else to do in Inverness, and men did not go shopping or do anything with their families, to compare attendances now to 45 years ago is stupid.1 point

Get a grip it's banter. If Mr Vigurs doesn't relish the stones he should vacate the glass house he happily seems to occupy.1 point

Its whats known as 'BANTER' in football terms. Iain Vigurs probably is a decent person. He has certainly improved his football and his attitude to the game and has done very well at RC. He is also someone who likely enjoys the attention. He smiled and gestured at us when the chants were directed at him. He reacted in good spirit with a smile on his face and he gave as well as he got. Thats BANTER.1 point

Hmmmm I'm sure he's a lovely guy really (?) but from what I can see he goes out of his way to wind our fans up. Not saying its all one way at all but IMO I think he showed how classless he was with his nonsense towards our support when they were doing their lap of honour. As the saying goes if you dish it out etc......1 point

Here's a thought - if Derek Adams gave a really good team talk, then Crystal Palace weren't the only team to have been motivated by a turd in the dressing room.1 point

Please let's not contaminate this thread by introducing the myth of ' ex Jaggies' or Caley rebels heading over the Kessock Firth in their hoards to swell the coffers at Ross County. Anyway, there is no such thing as an ex Jaggie. Once a Jaggie always a Jaggie1 point

A 14 year old Chinaman FFS? I remember being proud of getting into single figures when I was that age, only for my dad to point out that there was another 14 year old already playing off scratch. I think he was called Lyle or something...1 point

Feck off back to Canada, aye those were the days......... Indeed, a classic moment. But can you imagine the uproar if the player in question had been from, say, Pakistan?1 point
