Same as todays starting eleven for me, We don't want any slipups, Use the subs as we need to depending on progress.
  3. as an outsider, Hibernian fan, I feel your loss although some seem to be taking a stance that it wont hurt that much. again, I don't think the whole situation was handled very well at all. we, Hibs fans, are happy that we have got what looks like a winning team in respect of the management squad we now have. but, we also have the lingering doubt that is.......wait a minute, we're Hibernian fc, we've ****** up before and we shall do so again. hopefully not immedietly this time. best of luck to you guys this weekend, and maybe more importantly , get intae that Gorgie mob in Feb, get to the final. you should have been there last year!. I was totally disgusted with the fact that the semi is being played at our holy ground. A lot to do with the fact that those cheating thieving barstewards are able to defile our holy ground once more, but more to do with the fact that your fans are having to travel approx. 150 miles to the game and those scummy fucks can walk to the game. it is outrageous!. many Hibs fans on the fans forums are backing ICT in regards to the letter to the SFA/SPFL about the silly start time, the fact that the A9 is gonna be atrocious at that time o' year etc. Dundee, or Aberdeen is where it should be played.

Strongest team available please. There's many a slip twixt cup and lip and this is a very important tie for ICT...money, prestige and confidence booster for the team.

I disagree with you, let's have some fun at his expense ya old fuddy duddy's He was part of us, and the opening poster was good enough to post it in the correct forum. Fair game as far as I'm concerned, this will run for some time.....................
  6. I think that's a bit harsh on Steve. He has incredible contacts in the game built up over many years and Inverness have benefitted from those contacts. Let's not blacken the boy's name, he done a great job and pathetic comments about unpopularity amongst the players now he is gone is pretty low. It's not unthinkable that he would work up North again and I would rather it was in a place where he would feel welcome and this thread is starting to develop a nasty little feel to it. To say he was unpopular without naming names to back it up is also a little cowardly as the boy can't speak up to defend himself. He worked like a dog for Inverness and really loved his job here. If he rattled a few cages on the way, so what it's not a popularity contest. If anyone could do his job then why don't they? Come on Steve Marsella should be a hero here, he has done nothing wrong in my opinion.

Why the fell in obsession. There's been more posts about him since he dumped us than there has been in all the time he worked for us. Time to forget and move on.
  8. What the feck was edited ?!!

Aye Foran definately suspended. Personally i would think it will be the usual team minus Foran. This will give our new manager a chance to see us in action properly.
  10. '' Resultswise '' Ahmm Luvvin it ! Well done ICT, very well done indeed edited 'cause my computer is playing up!
  11. Agree with DD's take on the game, fab first ten minutes with some lovely link up play, thought we were going to bury them early but they reorganised and made a battle of it. Defence worked really hard together and ensured the three points but agree midfield looked a bit lightweight at times and gave possession away too often to be comfortable. (We actually gave the ball away directly from a throw in again, thought we'd got that sorted - take them more quickly guys!) We gradually lost the penetration we had for the first ten minutes, but overall a really good 3 points and winning these kinds of games when we don't play well is great. St J are a good team but couldn't really threaten our goal. Need to keep our back four if at all possible. Once again the league table makes happy reading tonight. Sitting second in late November - fab.
  12. That was an important win and the player's reaction at the end showed they knew it. We have often struggled against St J and they needed to get something out of the game to close the gap on us. They looked a pretty decent, well motivated side but were closed down well with their main threats well marshalled. They had more possession but the fact that Deano did not have a single save to make speaks volumes of how solid we were defensively At the end we won ugly but we started pretty brightly. We had a lovely passage of passing football early on before great work from Tremarco down the left allowed him to cross and Billy did well to get on the end of it to score. We managed to create the better chances and it was perhaps disappointing that others, Draper in particular, did not have their shooting boots on. But just as our defence closed them down well, theirs did the same. There was some great tackling and covering by both sides and St J will play a lot worse and win this season. I thought both Tremarco and Watkins played well. Doran was a bit disappointring by his usual standards but for me it was Nick Ross who was the weak link. He started off really well and had some great touches but as the game got more competetive he was far less effective and was regularly bullied off the ball and pressurised into errors. He was subbed because of a knock but in my view he should have been off earlier. No doubt those potential managers on the short list will have been watching and I wonder what they made of the team. It might be a difficult choice between Tremarco and Raven but I would be surprised if Ross will be in a new manager's first XI. The rest should be safe. I would bring Vincent back in when fit with Watkins in place of Ross. Today was a no nonsense win against a good side. I think any incoming manager will be well pleased by what they saw today.
  13. Are you IHE? Can I ask Alex, why don't you like him? And if all of these contacts are Terry's why weren't they used in his previous jobs? Just annoys me that we can't let anyone go without slagging them off, shows no class. It's just a difference of opinion and mine just happens to be the right one. Capital Caley - hashtag seething is something used on P&B by posters who have lost the argument (cue hashtag seeting from another genius).
  14. Right. What makes one think that any of the current successful players would want to move to Hibs anyway? ICT are on the crest, despite a smaller budget, area great proving ground for all newbies and have integrity. That's a pretty powerful stance to encourage players with character to stick around. At least you have the feeling that you will get a fair chance to get into the first team and a fair assessment of your character and ability at ICT. But, since T B will now be under intense pressure to perform, then if I were a player under him I would be feeling really uneasy about my future at that club. Further, with the cloud over his head to the effect that , IMHO, he must have been working on this move for months, how much would a player trust him now anyway? Let's face it, if the reservations we have on here about Mr Butcher's move have any justification, then would the players not also have the same feelings. I think Mr B's day is over and he will just have to get on with it without attempting to raid our larder... You know, if you make your own bed then you have to lie in it .
  15. Updates are few and far between --any gen , please?
  16. Don't worry, Kel will do perfectly well. If nothing else his substitution numbers should be ok after all that maths help I gave him when he sat next to me in school. Taught him all he knows. How old do you feel having an SPL manager who was in the same year at school as you?
  17. I'd rather they took their time, with Duncan Shearer, Foran and Kellacher holding the ship (all very capable) for as many games as it takes, than rush the appointment and end up with someone rubbish.
  18. Let's face ii - the three of them were crap.
  19. From what I gather Marsella didn't 'find' the players. He was sent down South to look at players that had been recommended by certain agents. They were found for the club and Marsella was the man to go and watch them. He'd then report back to the club. Plenty of footballing people could do that job. Not as big a loss as some people think.
  20. I'm quite sure Billy Reid will have applied for the post but I doubt he's been short-listed. We've built our reputation and stock much higher these days and are in the position to be able to sift out the 'journeymen' merry-go-round managers! There are candidates of a far higher calibre to choose from. I will run naked around the stadium before the Morton game if he's unveiled as the new boss. And you really don't want to see that.
  21. Two wrongs do not make a right. The Celtic fans (and any other team for that matter) have just as much right to complain and make a case for travelling up here at such a time in winter.
  22. This is a major blow. Bitterly disappointing news. I have to concede, our loss is Hibernian's gain here. But it begs the question, who was he referring to when he said, " He's not leaving" ?
  23. Other way round. We are not Motherwell. Mo is not the same manager he was back then. To dismiss him because of a poor 12 months or so in charge of another team several years ago is not right. Terry's first 12 months or so with us were hardly much to write home about.
