  1. This is all evidence that Richie has evidently lost a yard or 2 of pace. Everyone else managed to get well away from the old bill.

  3. Yeh looks as if some local neds of unspesified football loyalty themselves have decided to have a go at a couple of well known lads from the Republic of Ireland. I think Ritchie has been very restreined in this incident which would never have happened had it not been for these neds hellbent on provoking and asaulting Ritchie. Its the neds who should have been arested not Ritchie.

  5. It's long, admittedly..........but it shows that the Unionist mindset has not changed one iota since 1995. George Robertson as he was then, and Lord Baron Robertson of Port Ellen, KT CGMG, FRSA, FRSE, PC , as he is now, toes the Westminster line by offering only the benefits to the Union from Scotland and not the benefits to Scotland from the Union. Have to say, I don't remember George Robertson choosing to ditch the Westminster gravy train in 1999 to stand for election to Holyrood.....in fact, I believe he buggered off,in 1999, to join the NATO gravy train and become the only Secretary General of NATO to not get a second term in the job! So how incompetent does that make him? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=if-2A47U5PQ Not a lot has changed in the intervening years, imo...bar George Robertson talks crap now clothed in ermine as an unelected unionist placeman with a lifetime sinecure, rather than an elected unionist placeman chasing his future directorships and lecture tour income. He amply illustrates what is wrong with UK politics.

  6. It's much different from what I have heard. I have heard we are in for Tam Scobbie, Kevin McBride, Pedro Moutinho, Alan Gow, Vitor Lima and even Russell Latapy's gonna play too!

  10. Surely if you are assaulted in the street, you are allowed to defend yourself? The news reports and CCTV seem to indicate he was punched twice before he retaliated so why was he even charged? If your not allowed to defend yourself whilst being attacked, what are you supposed to do,sit and take a kicking? Is this the Police taking the huff because he ran away? Find it quite disturbing that you could end up in court for defending yourself or is it on the basis how far you go in defending yourself?

  11. When the 'victim' is deemed to have given as good as he/she got they are frequently charged !!! In my opinion, the cops reach for the sky with some charges or take a scattergun approach and lay multiple charges in the hope that a guilty plea is negotiated for some. I sat on a High Court jury many years ago where according to the story (corroborated by both sides) the accused was getting seven shades of **** kicked out of him but - according to the defence - he had managed to grab something, anything, nearby, which happened to be a bottle. He hit one of his attackers and the bottle broke, the attacker was cut badly (left a scar) and when all the dust settled the guy who had been set upon was charged with attempted murder. We might have found him guilty of assault, but no way was it attempted murder and from what I can remember the jury settled on 'not proven'.

  12. I very much doubt he was punched twice in the face before defending himself , if that was the case don't you think the aggressor would have been charged and not Richie ? You must have missed the bit in the report that said CCTV footage backed up what he said.

  13. Amazed that some people think that just because you pull on a football shirt you are immune to any sort of human reactions. If somebody punched me twice in the face I would retaliate if nothing more to make sure they don't land a 3rd blow.

  15. Let's not forget we are, and always have been, a selling club so if there is good money to be had for Ross and Shinnie then move them on! The only problem has been that we haven't had anybody smart enough to negotiate the sale of players, we only offered short term contracts and let them go for FREE! Let's hope someone on our board has the ability to negotiate the sale of players as we have not been good at this in the past so it may be time to see just what quality we have in this department!

  16. As Alex says, 2nd or 3rd would do it, but that's almost certainly beyond us now. But your scenarios for 4th place are spot on. I can't think of any other possible circumstances barring some unlikely UEFA Fair Play allocation. Just checked the Fair Play situation and Scotland are 9th with only the top 3 associations getting a club in, so that's gone! Jim Goodwins elbows probably put us down a few places on their own

Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”
