  1. A well-deserved win, but as usual made harder work of it than we should. Killie were shocking: The first goal was a shambles and their defence was for the taking. Polworth and Vincent were excellent today. First time I've seen Wedderburn - I thought he had a decent game too. Storey would have had a barrel -load if he had stayed on - hope his injury is minor. Mutombo was mercurial as ever: Little contribution, then skins 2 defenders in the corner and overhits the cross! I don't usually criticise the ref, but he had an absolute shocker today - some of his decisions (in both directions) were mesmerizing! Important win, now we need to do the same against United next week and pull out of the pack. That play-off spot is too close for comfort! Was Draper injured again?

  2. Well needed 3 points, but by feck that second half was dire!! we did the simple things wrong and when we had chances we took the wrong choice. Meekings HAS to go back into central defence with Warren, drop Devine, and play Horner /Raven at RB! Anyway, delighted with the result and another of the same next week and it will be a happy xmas/birthday for me!!!!

  8. A nervous end, but a good 3 points! They could be crucial towards the end of the season... As mentioned above, there's not much between top-6 and relegation play-off! We need to 'turn-the-screw' on a struggling Dundee United next week and finish the year on a high!

  13. Complete nonsense, Oddquine. How about we just stick to the facts? I'll keep it simple. The detailed Forth Replacement Crossing Study was commissioned by Transport Scotland during the last Lab/Lib administration. The first 3 reports of that study were published in February 2007 which was before the SNP came into power and the Final report of the study was published in June 2007 which was after they came into power. The Lab/Lib government could not have acted on the study because they were no longer in office when the final report was published! The SNP on coming into Government were presented with the report which gave options for the crossing which by this time most people had accepted was urgently required. The ground work was all in place and the SNP simply had no option but to take the process forward. To state that the Lab/Lib government didn't initiate any process is demonstrably wrong as is your equally absurd statement that the SNP government did all the work to get the crossing approved.

  14. Believe it or not, we don't actually have any footage from our match in Romania. AndyCam was (literally) taken hostage by an over-zealous steward over there and denied access to the TV gantry. They did promise to have a copy of the game for us made up before we left...but that didn't happen and the promise to send it on to us never transpired. Complaint to UEFA fell on deaf ears. Even if we had the footage, there's huge restrictions on what you can use and you have to pay a pretty penny for the right to reproduce it....so it would likely have ended up being cost prohibitive to include it anyway. These costs reduce over time, so if we ever manage to get our hands on the footage then it may be one for the future, such as St Johnstone have done. There's a 4 figure fee to the SFA for rights to use the Scottish Cup footage. There's a ton more content we would like to have included on both DVD's, but the more you add the poorer the quality, so it's a balancing act and the decision was made to go more with the content from the games than interviews and chat....some will agree with that and some won't, que sera. One alternative would have been to add a 3rd DVD, which would have delayed production until after Christmas and put another fiver on the purchase cost....or we could have just not bothered producing a DVD at all. The DVD's had to be produced on a tight budget (all edited together by competent volunteer/s, working in their own time) in order to ensure it remained financially viable...so I can understand that people will feel it's not up to blockbuster standards. Such is the nature of things when supporting a club the size of ICTFC where sales aren't going to afford the luxury of investing in bells and whistles. The DVD was very much done as a means of ensuring fans had a record of the season and the club certainly aren't going to be getting rich off the back of it.....if they were, then we'd be doing DVD's at the end of every season!!

  15. And remember that in your scenario, the 2 Dundee clubs will be fishing in the Angus/Fife pool as well. Although if the Cup was won by a non-Premiership side, there would 1 unseeded top-flight club. I think that what will be classed as regional will strain credulity. Or they will play the 'where possible' card and put ICT, HL Winner, Stranraer, Berwick and Annan in the same group.

  16. Of course not but it's a tournament that if you go out in the early stages most fans will simply shrug their shoulders and get on with things. Until you get to the latter stages most fans don't give a damn about it.

  17. Unattended bags have been a big no no for as long as I can remember and not just a result of recent events in Paris. Whether you agree with the reaction or not, it's incredibly naive to think you can just leave a bag laying there and wander off....regardless of where you are in public.

    • Relegation Statement
RELEGATION STATEMENT: This could have been said ten minutes after our defeat to Hamilton three days ago. So far, this is not the news that we on Caley Thistle Online wanted to hear. Pleased that we will still function as a club, disappointed that resignations have not been offered yet. Keeping fans waiting in silence for three days is unforgivable and relationships are drifting further apart than ever before. Silence is not the way forward, we deserve better as fans.

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.

    • Inverness CT (1-2) Hamilton - Play off Final 2nd Leg - Preview
The hurt, the pain, the reluctance and pig-headedness to listen to the fans asking what is going on, the lack of communication, the lack of ambition, the stench of mismanagement, the concert company, the battery farm, the demise since winning the Scottish Cup in 2015, the lack of passion, the lack of commitment, the dwindling fanbase, the lack of leadership. It has left the fans comfortably numb

    • Hamilton -V- Inverness CT - Play off Final 1st Leg - Preview
However all is not well and we just kept our heads above water thanks to Arbroath being rubbish. Onto the play offs and an insipid performance at Links Park left us all wondering if our time has come to drop into oblivion. Our performance certainly would not look out of place in the lower leagues. We clung on for a 0-0 draw away from home and scraped a 1-0 win at Inverness with Billy Mckay saving our blushes. Everything about the club has negative undertones at the moment.
