  1. Given how prevalent injuries have been this season, it may be a decent idea to perform an audit, led by the medical staff, of how they occurred, just in case factors other than pure bad luck may be contributing. I hesitate to imagine how much - or how large a percentage of the club's expenditure - it has cost this season to pay players who are unable to do anything.
  2. This is a colossal week for us now. Losing to Hibs would be embarrassing and failing to beat the wee team on Saturday would be a very tough one to take. We need the three points and to put a dampener on their parade. Let's burst their party balloons and get a win. I'm glad JH went to the match yesterday. I really hope he can do it this week and get the players giving 100% in both matches from the kick off. I just hope we don't dilly dally about at the back, fail to get forward and end up having a solitary shot on target. C'mon ICTFC, let's do this - they're winnable matches. I'll finish on this quote from Pep Guardiola's biography: "I hate tiki-taka. I always will. I want nothing more to do with tiki-taka. Tiki-taka is a load of ****, a made-up term. It means passing the ball for the sake of passing, with no real aim or aggression - nothing. I will not allow my brilliant players to fall for all that rubbish"
  3. No thanks on either. Especially the latter.
  4. How about we get rid of your ridiculous suggestions.
  5. Neil Lennon is available. Now if that little s*** were ever to be offered the ICT job, I would definitely sell my shares and not watch us again until he'd gone.

  8. Fon Williams Warren Devine Tremarco D.Williams R.Williams Draper Polworth Roberts Foran Storey Subs - Esson, Vigurs, Hughes, Horner, Wedderburn, Brown, Mutombo* * If Mutombo is out, MacLennan on the bench.
  9. From the Inverness Courier : "Danny Devine is keen to tie up his future as soon as possible and sign the two-year contract on offer from Caley Thistle." & "Devine is one of several players to have offers on the table from the club, with Williams, Horner, Liam Polworth and Owain Fon Williams also being offered extensions." http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk//Sport/Football/Caley-Thistle-defender-Danny-Devine-keen-to-resolve-future-after-receiving-offer-of-two-year-extension-15032016.htm
  10. The shinty boys are also suggesting that, in addition to a football double photo, there could be a triple one with the Scottish Cup, the League Cup and the Camanachd Cup, which all now sit within 15 miles of each other.
  11. Better get yon photie taken quickly. After Wednesday night we might not be defending oor trophy any more... And don't County only get their cup for a few months, now that the League Cup is set for a final in November?
  12. Some of us were much younger and even less sensible than now and thus possibly celebrated with even more fervour !
  13. What a night!!! The journey home was probably the safest I have ever had on the A9 as the line of traffic seemed to stretch all the way from Perth to Inverness all moving at a steady 60 mph.
  14. You just knew who the OP was without looking, the real question is has he been able to find the TCS yet?
  15. Of course they were Johndo, How on earth could the mere winning of the Scottish Cup in front of almost 40,000 fans at the National Stadium and a worldwide TV audience of millions possibly compare with a Caley v Clach Qualifying Cup final at Kingsmills in front of 2,500 ? Actually, the Highland League days were great and will live in the memory forever but we are on an entirely different plane now.
  16. If we keep Horner its cos he decided to sign. If anyone bothers to read the article there are offers on the table for several players as JH has said for weeks, including Vincent. Personally I think JV is a luxury we cant afford given his lack of game time over the last few seasons. However if JV leaves (or any others) that have had offers its because they want more money or go elsewhere for reasons known to them - its not necessarily a case of we picked those who are staying over those who leave.
  17. Its cos of the new Brian Rice training regime.............sadly first rule of fight club......... More seriously though, we have seen only a few game time injuries occur where a player needs substituted such as Brill, Warren, Fisher, therefore I think some assume that any other injury has to be during training. However often these can be game knocks which can manifest after the match. There is no denying that this year we have had a lot more injuries though (excluding illness) whether this is down to the change in coaching staff (Rice for Latapay) only the club know. Its clear that over the last 12 months our style of play has changed a lot from open attacking football to negative and cautious whether this is due to the available players being fit or the new training and management regime its hard to decide - until we have enough quality players fit to start our games, its all just pure fan conjecture.
  18. Does anyone remember the good old days when their used to be a load of hype surrounding a Scottish Cup QF.

So sad to hear of Ross' passing this week. I was very surprised as I seen him at Dens park just last weekend. I only knew of him by name and face but you could tell he was a huge Caley Thistle supporter and well liked within the Caley community. Yesterday was fantastic by our fans with the minutes applause for him. My fondest memory of Ross certainly would have been the game against Rangers before the Scottish independence and Ross stood up against their fans with a 'Yes' Sign for majority of the game.
  22. I still dream of a Pele second coming, even if only on a short term interim basis. The free flowing attacking football would be the perfect antidote to our current woes, get the best out of our currently stifled, overdrilled underperformers, and bring the crowds back.
  23. What is this with posters that Vigurs was awful at the weekend. He wasn't and played okay.
  24. That a lot of players are injured and that it often doesn't seem to happen in matches ?

Absolutely brilliant result for Ross county and the Highlands. First class performance against a tasty Hibs side. Well done to all. Now come on lads..................lets do the double over the Leithers!

Letting Vincent go but keeping Horner?
  27. Fon Williams Horner Warren Devine Tremarco Tansey Draper Storey Roberts D.Williams Foran If Storey hasn't recovered, put him on the bench to replace Foran in the 2nd half or vice-versa and start with Polly. Vigurs was awful at the wknd so needs dropped and I'm convinced if we had more fit players he wouldn't get as much game time, big Hughes was fairly anonymous and struggled to hold up the ball or give us an edge upfront (although against a less physical Hibs team than Hamilton he may do better). Foran however was impressive the 20mins he played, really made a difference to the team, whether he is fit enough for a start I'm not sure
  28. A lot of players getting injured at training does though
