  1. At this time of goodwill to all men spare a thought and prayer for our Dungwall rivals.
  2. Sad but it doesn't detract from the fact that he has been a hugely loyal and often influential player for us in all the years he has called Inverness home. In a few months time nobody will remember one mistimed tackle but we will remember his positive contributions, particularly in that cup semi final, for years to come.
  3. No idea whether it’s a justified red or not, but what a sad and unfortunate way for Dave to end his distinguished career here.
  4. Great day out for Supporters Travel Club yesterday apart from the result on the pitch. Although the referee was comedy gold. Most welcoming stadium award - if such a thing existed - must go to Cappielow. Well organised staff and stewards. And everyone was really helpful and friendly. On to Brechin next Saturday for the last game of the year. Thanks to the generosity of Willie Finlayson who has kindly sponsored the Brechin bus we are able to offer members reduced fare of £5. Bus leaves Caley Club at 9.45 and stadium at 10.00 with pick ups in Aviemore and Perth.
  5. Have a great Christmas everyone and all the best for 2018 when it arrives
  6. A very poor performance. Morton were carving us open at will until they scored and could've had the game wrapped up inside twenty minutes had it not been for some excellent goalkeeping from Ridgers. Thereafter, they sat off us and saw the game out very comfortably without conceding a single shot on target. Whilst i agree that the referee was abysmal, i think we should also recognise that Morton were far more disciplined than us - all the holding, pushing, time-wasting, winding people up and cynical fouling is clearly coached and well controlled. We, on the other hand, have Vigurs lunging with two feet in the centre of the park for no good reason and Baird pushing Quitongo right in front of the referee while waiting to be booked for a previous retaliation on the same player. I gave Baird a bit of an earful at that point as he seemed to be losing his head and he gave some back as well. I was quite embarrassed later in the game to discover that i had been seated next to Mrs Baird, Mama Baird and Baby Baird throughout. The play-offs are starting to look out of our reach now. The likes of Morton probably have a smaller budget and inferior players but they're just much better drilled for playing in this division. A special mention for Cappielow. It's a delightful time warp, the kids got in free and were presented with a big bag of free sweets from youth team players on arrival, and they played Frankie Laine. It's just the best ground in Scottish football.
  7. Seedorf showed real promise when he first came and before his injury. I think he has the potential to be a fine player either In defence or further forward.
  8. Morton were all over us at the start of the game. Defensively we were a mess and Raven summed up our total lack of cohesiveness at the back when he misjudged the bounce of the ball and let it go past him and letting a Morton player in. Raven hauled him down and was deservedly sent off. After that Morton continued to dominate while we resorted to thumping long balls to Baird who was now up front himself after Bell was removed for Seedorf. Second half was a bit better as we stemmed the Morton tide (or they eased off) but again we struggled to really create any chances of note to get us back into the game. Polworth was really poor. I've defended him a lot on here but he was so wasteful with the ball and his set pieces are simply abysmal. Ridgers made some good saves and Donaldson was again pretty decent but Seedorf was a big surprise when he came on. He spotted in really well at right back after Raven went off showing excellent timing when challenging for the ball and offering decent support down the flank when he got forward. I'd say he was probably our MotM. Special mention for the referee who was utter pish. Not as bad as McKendrick but cutting it close. He lost control of the game by the end and was dishing out cards with zero consistency.
  9. We have largely sorted out the defence but, if we are to progress from here, we really have to find some sort of threat up front.
  10. I spoke to Supporters Direct on Friday 16th and we are working to implement a plan within the constraints of the board. The lady we are dealing with left for leave on the 16th but she was able to give us clear advice. I've checked and no date was agreed for the EGM as I personally have to contact the members who didn't take up the offer of renewing membership. I was asked to complete this by the end of January so the EGM would have to be after then. Sadly my Mum passed away last week which has not allowed us to have a board meeting but this will be arranged as a matter of priority and following that meeting we will be in a position to make a statement regarding the way forward. Rest assured wheels are turning. Have a great Christmas
  11. Nollaig chridheil agus bliadhna mhath it dhiubh uile
  12. A nice thread so let's add to it by sending a Happy Christmas and wonderful New Year to all on here and of course to all ICT supporters evrywhere
  13. May the light of the sun shine upon all your families this yule season.
  14. I'll remember it. It's A poor way to leave your team mates in the lurch and giving a penalty away to boot. Time to move on.
