  1. A very professional job. Good pressure early on to establish a comfortable lead. It could easily have been more if McGinley had not been on such good form in goal for East Kilbride. Oakley was one of the players denied after he had created space for himself to unleash a powerful shot goalwards. This was after a great team move started by terrific work from Rooney deep in our half half when he released the ball from the touchline under pressure from two East Kilbride players. Austin was also denied by McGinley in the 2nd half but only he will know why he didn't hit it earlier with an empty net beckoning. Doran MOTM for me. He was excellent last week as well and seems to be be getting back to something like his best. I sense that his captaincy duties weighed heavily on him and that he feels more relaxed to play his natural game now that Carl is back. Good to see Polworth get back on the score sheet again. We need him scoring a bit more often than he has so far this season so hopefully this will give him the lift he needs.. Also good to see David Proctor back in Inverness and great applause for him from the Inverness fans when he had to be subbed early in the 2nd half. Brilliant to see the whole stadium stand and join in the applause for Dawn in the 16th minute. Credit to all the East Kilbride fans who showed great respect in joining in too. It shows that despite our differences and our rivalries, at the end of the day we are all decent and compassionate folk. All in all, a very good day out.
  2. Like another home game, and a better crowd
  3. Agree with all of that apart from the last sentence. I like the cup to hold a bit of novelty. Accordingly, rather than play County for the fifth time this season, I would prefer a winnable home tie against a club from a different division.
  4. Get Alan Simpson down early to blow some of his hot air on the pitch and the game will be on.
  5. The 3-2 victory in the Scottish semi final is unsurpassed. That game had it all.
  6. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/scotland/20569486 "Richard Brittain has just put Ross County into the 5th round!" *30 seconds later*
  7. Who else was disappointed when the 4th went in? ?
  8. As Robert said, here is the confirmation
  9. It's on according to the club's twitter feed. Will be interesting to see I feel any of the youngsters start. Presumably Rooney and Mckay back from suspension, with Mckay replacing Donaldson, who I hope will not be out for long. Remember the minute's tribute for young Dawn in the 16th minute. Her family will appreciate it.
  10. The Scottish Cup: 10% of our fixtures, but 90% of our memories!
  11. No words required!..........
  12. Other than the great day in Glasgow, knocking Celtic out of the SC 1-0 after they had beaten Liverpool at Anfield on the road to Seville. Don't think I've ever seen the stadium so packed, must have been THE record crowd whatever the "official" stats may show. A great moment from that night was when Charlie Nic and Jim White were walking across to the commentary box on the west side a well kenned face shouted Charlie Charlie what will the score be to which Charlie replied 5-0, the well kenned face replied Aye, but who to Charlie. A brilliant result often forgotten and overshadowed by the Parkhead match.
  13. Great thread allowing us all a wonderful walk down memory lane. Scottish Cup has been by favourite competition since watching Thistle 'giant killing' Queens Park at Kingmsmills all of half a century ago. Never, even in my wildest dreams, did I then think I would be at Hampden watching a team from Inverness win it.
  14. Gotta love Vigurs' greeting face there. Priceless.
  15. Nothing like a good dose of nostalgia to cheer us up! I think I would also go with David Raven's winner in the semi in 2015, probably as it is the most recent. If we were to extend OP's question to include League Cup, then Nick Ross's last gasp equaliser versus Hearts when we were down to 9 men, before going on to win on penalties, is right up there for me.
