  1. I, for one, am not a bit bothered about the two Dundee sides, they will be so busy trying to do each other the dirty that they will lose sight of the other teams. What we now have to concentrate on is our finishing and taking the chances we create, we failed to do this quite miserably last season and I expect Robbo will be concentrating on this aspect of our game in the new pre-season and beyond. I look forward to watching a much more accomplished and confident side performing at home and away which will ultimately put more bums on seats at the stadium.

They got what they deserved. Being a bit ICT biased, I was reluctant to jump on the refereeing bandwagon when they played us. However, having watched today's game as a neutral with a very slight DUFC bias I'm convinced that all the big decisions seemed to go United's way, including the sending off (which should never have been!). Wonder why that would be? At least the referees seem to have a bit of consistency now - they all seem to favour Dundee United!!! So congratulations St Mirren. Down to 10 men and with the referee seemingly a DUFC supporter, they still managed to win!!

Have the Arabs established a record in failing to convert a single penalty in a shoot out?
  5. Surprised as he may be to hear it, I agree with Bughtmaster.

...and end the season demonstrating that that belief was not misplaced.

No point in being defeatest. We need to start the season believing that we can.

Given the stick their fans were giving Coll Donaldson on Twitter the night they beat us to get through I'm glad to see DU blow it, although it does show how difficult promotion via the play-offs is, next year they will surely be eyeing top spot, can we pip them to it?
  9. How can you miss 4 penalties in a row in a shootout! Justice done but I ‘d rather not have both Dundee teams in the Championship next season.
  10. I only switched on to watch the penalty shoot out. What bottlers Utd were. Not one decent strike in 4 goes. They don't deserve to go up.
  11. The commentary team have noted this also...seems United have a guardian Angel looking after them in all 4 play off games.
  12. United should have been down to 9 men before the St Mirren red card.

Some off the pies I've had at Caley could bounce.

Inverness would be better off with a decent castle and bouncy pies.
  15. Hi @TheMantis, I'm hoping to get some of these old Caley/Thistle and ICT videos uploaded this summer. Now that the season's over, do you think there'll be any chance of searching for - and sending over - the Airdrie goals from Jan 1990 to put with the footage I have of the penalty shoot out? I know it all takes time to try and dig out old stuff like that but would be great to have it together in one video on YouTube. Thanks.
  16. Have the seen the state of the pitch? What a disgrace!

    That was some outstanding bait.
  18. Powerful stuff, but it basically ignores the quality of our opponents. You'd have a point if we were competing against Fort William in these games, obviously not if we were playing Man City. Why should we have done better against County, Dundee United and Hearts specifically? All three have significantly higher budgets to work with - Robbo has said that County have more than double our budget, Alan Preston said the other night that United had at least treble. Hearts' will be a lot more. Why do you ignore that not only did we put two of those clubs out of cup, but also finished above at least three other clubs in our league with higher budgets than us? For me, the most impressive aspect of our overall performance this season is that it took place at a time when everyone is on such a massive downer. The whole club's being cut to the bone, players leave at the first sniff of interest and we're delighted just to get them off the wage bill, the home crowds have been reduced to a small group of moany old men and some 15 year-old wannabe casuals. I'm just delighted we stayed up under these circumstances - overachievement is putting it mildly.
  19. he was actually offered a new contract by us, but i am glad he has gone. he was rubbish
  20. What the helhl kind of refereeing was that! So obviously biased towards Dundee Utd getting the helping hand. Two awful teams what a joke of a play off finale !
  21. I liked Austin thought he was a decent player when he got the chance look at his goal final game last season belter! Would've kept him before White tbh
