  1. I was talking to some Hearts fans who were next to me at the game - they said they had come along to support us, financially and vocally, because they are grateful for the stance ICT took in 2020 against the decision to relegate Hearts.

  2. I don't know that anyone can be considered a major shareholder as to the best of my knowledge, no individual owns a double figure percentage of shares . Nor do I know if those individuals who have the largest shareholdings were present at the meeting. I do know that the most pertinent questions raised during the meeting were raised by people who only have a very small shareholding. And whilst the situation may be very unsatisfactory, it is not really "odd" at all. We may have reservations about the way the Club is being run at the moment, but what is the alternative? I'm not aware of any individual or group that is interested in taking over the running of the club, investing more money into the club and implementing better income generating practices than the current regime. Meanwhile, the current regime continues to cover any shortfall and has financed the club to allow the recent massive improvement on the park to take place. Until there is a more viable and attractive alternative on the table, then despite reservations, there is little option but to support the current Board and for supporters group and others to try to work with the current regime in improving the way the club is run. I am no longer on the Board of the Supporter's Trust but at least the Supporters Trust is trying its best to engage with the Club in order to make improvements. The matchday experience survey is an example of this, but please note that the survey closes at the end of today so if you haven't completed it yet and want to have your say, please CLICK HERE NOW! Of course, the Supporters Trust can only be as effective as the supporters as a whole allow it to be. If people don't join the Trust and support its work, then the influence the Trust can have on influencing the Board will continue to be minimal. The Trust has a minimum 10% voting stake in the Club and therefore could be very influential should some other group with money to invest in the club show their hand. Also, with an increased and more active membership, the case for an elected supporter representative becomes stronger. There's no point just having a pop from the sidelines. If people are unhappy with aspects of the way the club is run, then they should do something about it. Join the Supporters Trust and support its work, because the Trust is trying to work with the club and improve things for the supporters.

  3. Brilliant day out and a great performance from players and fans alike. We were helped by an early intervention from our first experience of VAR. Without it there would have been no goal, but under the present ridiculous handball rules it was probably the right decision. One of Billy's better penalties gave us an early cushion and probably settled a few nerves. One balance, we deserved our win. Falkirk had periods of possession but never created much. We were more incisive with our attacks and scored 2 excellent goals as a result with Shaw being desperately unlucky not to score with 2 excellent efforts. We also created 2 excellent chances for Falkirk who failed to capitalise on our defensive howlers. With the enjoyable and profitable distraction of the semi-final, the team now needs to put the final to the back of their minds and focus on the more important task of trying to get back into the premiership. Following yesterday's league results, our game on Friday is now a must win just to get into the play-offs. Hopefully the excitement of yesterday's game will encourage a large and vocal support on Friday for the most important game of the season so far.

  4. I hope this is coherent as just back at hotel after a celebratory afternoon and evening! On a sample of 1, I like VAR! Watching it back, it was a penalty and taken well by Mckay. Falkirk then troubled us and should have equalised but hit the post at an open goal after Ridgers and the defence got in a muddle, but the second came at the right time. A great ball by Henderson and perfect finish by Mackay, who loved it! Probably his best game for us this season too. The third also came after a spell of Falkirk pressure, and another lucky escape for us, with Mackay picking out Mckay who finished well. Shaw hit the post twice and was unlucky with both. A more comfortable result than we maybe deserved but a thoroughly deserved win. Well done to all 16 who played and to the backroom team. A shout out to the singing section also. I just hope everyone there today comes on Friday evening for our must win game against Ayr. Now time for sleep!

  5. However, we have a 100% win record when playing Celtic at Hampden, along with a 100% success record in Scottish Cup Finals!

  6. As others have mentioned, our singing section did a tremendous job, they kept it going all through the game and made a great atmosphere.

  7. Delighted that we have reached another Cup final. It was a very bizzare game. If Falkirk took there chances it might have been different. Friday v Ayr is our real cup final though.

  8. I should add that they also said Scottish football needs more people like Scott Gardiner. STFU will be seething!

  9. Of all the parts of a football pitch to hit, the same post was hit three times in this match. We were lucky that it saved us conceding when Ridgers miss kicked his clearance, and Shaw was so unlucky not to be on the scoresheet when he struck the same post twice. How his second attempt never went in is baffling, you'd really think the momentum would have carried it over the line. I was up to the wee small hours watching all the highlights and interviews multiple times, amazing. When you look back on it, we are in our second Scottish Cup Final in our short history, while some clubs with histories three times as long as ours have never been to one, it is some achievement.

  10. What a lovely trip up! In the company too of CaleyMad and his son! Probably the difference was we could finish our chances and Falkirk couldn't despite our charitable acts to give them a couple of chances [don't do that against Celtic boys]. Shaw desperately unlucky, and I was impressed by how simple and effective Henderson kept it with great delivery too. Duffy impressed as well, I don't think Kennedy ever beat him? [TBF to Kennedy who was getting boo'd for being an 'ex, he kept going against us for 90mins and always looked a threat...not bad for a 20year old] With me whooping with delight in the stadium at Palace also winning, I had the surreal moment of being recognised by and thus being introduced to Yngwie So onto the final, flight up already booked, but Hotel and Flight-back costs, leading me to book an overnight coach return! Meanwhile I'm up for Part II of the 'most important game of the season'.... against Ayr

  11. Watched it back via the bbc recording and the coverage was just as bad as we had heard with all the blackouts. Also my recording finished at 2pm with a few minutes to go so no interviews etc.

  12. Am I alone in thinking that it is remiss, over 24 hours on, to still having nothing on the website re our semi final victory. Potential new fans may be looking us up. We need to capitalise on our good fortune and then our tremendous run.

  13. Today is the deadline to complete the Supporters Trust Matchday Survey. Whether you think the matchday experience is brilliant or awful or anything in between, the Supporters Trust wants to know. From tomorrow, detailed work will start on collating all the data and preparing a report which will be presented to the Club and made publicly available. This is an opportunity to make recommendations about potential improvements to the matchday experience which will be backed up by firm evidence of the supporters' views. This is your chance to give your views about what is good and not so good about the matchday experience. Help the Trust to help you. CLICK HERE NOW to get your voice heard. Many thanks to all of you who have already completed the survey.

  15. There were 4 guys in front of us in the North Stand, sitting quietly but obviously Celtic supporters, who got up to leave with a few minutes left. We were poking fun at them and shouting "see you next week!"

  16. I kid ye not, your nemesis was indeed singled out for praise! They were also quite well informed about other connections between our club and theirs (like Donald Park) and were naturally asking how Robbo was doing these days.

  17. That’s the one that I thought was 1-0. I remember Pressley scoring and being a right ***** on the radio as I queued to get out of the car park…

  19. The media team were up and down to the game yesterday and I’m sure they were allowed a couple of shandies so yes give them a day off! The website could be better but most folk will have seen stuff on Twitter, Facebook etc for plenty of content from yesterday. Don’t be salty and enjoy us reaching a cup final

  21. It was magic seeing us reach a second Scottish Cup Final. Never ever thought it likely. Am really pleased Celtic beat Rangers today because I think Rangers would have hammered us on the 3rd June...... So this Friday is now the most important game of our season.

  24. A result that exceeded our expectations and ended up pretty comfortable - but really, it was a much tighter game than the score suggests and it all came down to taking chances. We took ours, Falkirk will be wondering how they missed all of theirs. Job done and a good day out for the players and fans.

  26. Another final to look forward to. Excellent win. Let Falkirk knock it about and bumped them when required. We could have paid the price for two defensive mix ups if the falkirk players had been sharper. However another famous victory and looking forward to the final. Well done to players and management for masterminding it now to mastermind the final

  29. Good game. Was worried until the penalty award as Falkirk started well, but after that it turned our way. Daniel MacKay's header was a great one and the third goal from Billy was taken very well. Apart from Ridgers' moment of madness, which he made up for with solid stopping on the few occasions he was called into action, Falkirk didn't look likely to score. Still dont know how the second Shaw attempt that hit the post stayed out. Thought it would hit the inside of the other post and in to make it 0-4 but that's football for you. Welsh and Allardice solid in the middle. Lots of positives today.

  32. Back in the hotel after a few beers. Hearty breakfast planned then a bus to Hampden in plenty time to see the build up. Just watched a humorous film on the BBC app with two of our 2015 heroes, Doran and Devine. BBC saying we’ve 5000 fans tomorrow. Let’s make it a noisy crowd to show the players our support and see them through to a win. Thankfully not heading back up the A9 until Sunday so time to enjoy or drown the outcome. Come on ICT. Make this our time (again)!!
