Quite frankly we've never been the best at promoting ourselves and trying to be part of the fabric of the city but it's been even worse recently though. We must be the most disconnected club from its surrounding area that I can think of. With the SCF less than a week away what have we actually done? Punted some final merch on social media? People have commented on The Council but it's not their job to spontaneously promote ICT, have we as a club even approached them to help support the build up to Saturday? In previous run ups we've had activities in the Eastgate with the League Cup, pop up shops in the Eastgate and the Market etc, nothing this time. The ICT trust guys do a great job in schools and doing other community based programmes but they can only do so much. For goodness sake there was a promotion earlier this season for the kids v players 'biggest home game' if you spent a certain amount on merchandise. I got 2 for my kids at Christmas. I emailed over 2 weeks ago asking what was going on with it. Was told that they'll look into it. Nothing since. Can't even keep to their own promises to their young supporters. It's absolutely farcical. Why would we expect other dithering fans to be bothered? I'm sure the next communication will be to shell out for season tickets though!5 points

As we drove through the very busy tourist strewn streets of Inverness today, I was thinking, I wonder if the club has capitalised on the increased footfall by having a pop up store, to take advantage of our friendly visitors? What if we had a little section in one of the touristy shops, how many shirts or club souvenirs would we sell? I can't see many tourists going all the way out to the stadium to have a look, but they might if it was in one of the shops in town. We always seem to miss a beat when it comes to self promotion, while other clubs have their finger on the pulse. There doesn't seem to be enough hype surrounding the final. Celtic are a worldwide name in football, and we are playing them! Every man woman and child that visits our town should know that, and maybe they would take a little souvenir from our club back to their part of the world if they were readily available. The only thing of interest regarding ICT that surprised me today, was I found a little poster inside my copy of the Inverness Courier. So that will be put up tomorrow, and maybe a passing tourist will see it and think, oh the local Inverness team is playing the giant Celtic, I wonder where I can buy their football strip!4 points

I've been in Glasgow all weekend and the common theme amongst Celtic supporters is they are worried about us spoiling their party!3 points

While I agree with you that there is a significant influx of people of a more mature nature, I'm a pensioner, and when I used to visit other city's in other countries, I was always interested in their local teams, and while i might not buy a football shirt, I would buy a football related souvenir rather than a replica leaning tower or Eiffel tower, I have bottle openers, wallets and other paraphernalia. A lot of shoppers I saw in Bridge Street yesterday were all quite young, they don't all come from cruise ships, and if the club don't try, nothing is gained, every pound is a prisoner, and I just see glaring opportunities missed.2 points

I know Dunfermline will have the momentum of a promotion [as had one could Queens Park], but how much stronger will they be 2 years on from relegation. Neither Kilmarnock or Dundee Utd can honestly be said to be anyting other than yo-yo clubs, but yes they all have a little bit more money than us....Ross County would be a threat. Obviously its a blow that we missed out on the play-offs they way we did, but I bet no-one saw Partick's strong showing in the play-offs, so promotion for us that way not a given. But I think it's very unfair to say we failed this season when we had more than a first team out through injury for such long periods...no team in any league could carry that cross and expect to be successful. But we are in the Cup Final, and no one can take that away from us [especially not Queens Park] ...Obvs the odds are stacked against us but win or lose I shall enjoy the day2 points

So, teams that want us to lose: Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, County Teams that want us to win: Pretty much everyone else?1 point

Why the secrecy? Was the same in 2015. Seems crazy that the club won't tell us. It will only put people off trying to get tickets cos they'll likely take the view that tickets are either sold out, or so few sold that there won't be a good atmosphere! It'll be clear to see on the day exactly how many tickets we've sold so I really don't understand the club's stance on this?1 point

Judging by the first 35 minutes today, their holiday is over and they are back in the mood. They are murdering Aberdeen just now. Fortunately I will be at The Gathering by the time the second half starts so spared any more previews of what we are facing next week! However, it is a one off game and anything can happen on the day, so hope remains!!1 point

Yes. ICTFC again ticking a box, but not valuing individuals as people. Happens time and again. One of my reasons for being disillusioned and contemplating whether or not I will renew my season ticket. Sad indeed.1 point

I agree. It would have been nice if the presentations had taken place after the Ayr game, despite the outcome, allowing the full squad to get the appreciation of fans. That’s what’s happened in previous seasons when the awards have been at the last home league game.1 point

Apparently the player of the year awards are to be presented at the stadium tomorrow night? The club are running a competition on FB and Twitter (posted this evening) to win 5 sets of tickets0 points

Agree with what you say about the club's lack of self promotion, but I'm pretty sure all these pensioners flooding in off the cruise ships don't give a toss about ICTFC.0 points

FT 5-0 to Celtic against the 3rd best team in the Premier. But playing the 6th best team from the Championship will be a different proposition altogether!0 points

Clearly awaiting to do this back at the stadium after the cup parade through town....................(if they can find a bus)0 points
