  1. The Courier have missed the point. The fans want Gardiner out. The disconnect, as frustrating as it is, is just a smokescreen.

  2. Quite simple really. Treat the fans with respect. Make them feel valued. Communicate. More fans turn up to matches at the stadium. More revenue generated.

  3. Of course they have. They've been pedalling the "it's on field problems making fans unhappy" line since the beginning and ignoring the growing discontent at off field inactivity. They have, in effect, been doing Gardiner's job for him when it comes to deflecting accountability. Unfortunately the newest Director also seems content to do the same and thinks a couple of wins will fix everything.

  6. I really liked thar Charlie was out pitchside whole game encouraging the players! They've not had that in a while!

  7. From reading the article, nothing. The Trust will keep banging their head against the wall by trying to speak nicely to the club. The club will keep making the same empty promises about working to improve things and sharing information when they can that they've been saying for the last 6/7 years. Fans will continue to drift away and those stealing a wage will continue to do so because not enough people are willing to take a proper stand against them. Death by a thousand cuts

  8. That was some morning at the SWF U14s North Highlands League Cup final! ICT U14s Reds V an undefeated Ross County U14s. 0-0 at full time. 1-1 AET (both goals in the last 4 minutes! ). Ended 8-7 on penalties for the girls in Red & Blue. The girls showed absolute grit and determination to hold their nerve through the penalties after 90 mins of football against girls, some of whom were 3 or 4 years older. Well done to all the ICT girls and the coaches for fostering such an awesome team spirit

  9. Thank you for saying what was needed. We can play with words round the edges of the main problem which is simply SG isn’t trusted (I hope), by the bulk of the fans that look beyond the next match. The press will fall in line with the SG mantra and belittle and dilute the ST message and angst as a noisy minority and to be ignored. I’ve spouted my drivel reasons for not joining the ST, but that’s not to say I don’t respect them as the main voice of the fans! - I just believe with their voting allocation, they should be more vigorous in challenging the direction the club is taken. That now said, the fans that care more than just turning up faithfully and enjoying the fare, need to decide (to use STFU’s poster), “What are you going to do” Question for me is what type of contract is SG on (fixed or rolling). What is considered success or failure, and who measures / decides this measure and when. For me SG is only interested in himself, ICT is just a tool to, 1) Continue to provide a secure contract and handsome salary, (probably a clause where he gets a sack of gold if paid off early)? 2) Provide him the platform to (in his mind) move on to greater things. Now SG may get lucky and secure some manager that, magic wand like, turns us into something we’re not, and we win promotion in a year or two. More likely we arrest the decline on the park and we avoid relegation, (can we dump if we are relegated ?). Not sure what will happen of the park, but look for a new SLO that promises a new dawn in comms and jam tomorrow! If really comes down to the fans. Plod on and hope for the best (with SG’s vision and control), or secure enough support to come up with a way to get the bulk of the fans behind them to force the Board or other board members to publicly question SG’s performance and expected targets for this and next season! We can’t leave it or expect the press to publish anything that would upset their cosy access arrangements with the current Club hierarchy! bc

  10. Scott Brown must have family/friends in the area as he's been spotted in Inverness many times over the years, and not just when playing here, so I'm not reading much into these initial rumours. He was a thug and a bully as a player, but that's not a reputation that seems to have followed him into coaching.

  13. From a personal perspective, to have Scott Brown as our next manager would be quite an achievement. I never really liked him as a layer but his career has moved on. Interestingly, he signed a new 2 year contract shortly before he was sacked by Fleetwood after they made a very poor losing start to the season. They remain second botton to Cheltenham who have yet to score a league goal after 9 games! So he would feel very much at home here in the Highlands but with him being back in Scotland the Inverness players would be bursting a gut to start getting results again.

  14. Wasn't that more to do with his incompatibility with Jim Goodwin? I think Broonie could do a decent job. He'd certainly inject some passion into the team and it might be a good platform to progress to the job he really wants! Of course going for Broonie would be more popular with the ICT/Celtic fans than the ICT/Rangers ones. Pure ICT fans might be more positive about his potential appointment. Player/manager maybe!

  15. Although the result is not what we wanted, it was a better all round team performance, and if we can sort out being more ruthless in the final third, we could start to pick up some much needed points. And Christie and Robbo managed to get through the game by watching the play, instead of having their heads buried in a folder or tablet!

  16. Signs of improvement but still came away with nothing, worrying we are going to get detached at the bottom. Positives ,the two centre backs look decent and good to see Doran back to some form. Special mention to Goodwin though ,an absolute tool. Set up his team in his own image, sez loads about his lack of class.Lost count of how many yellows, a deserved red, niggling fouls, trying to deceive for a penalty the list is endless . Also a special mention for his ultimate shithousery. At least 3 times DU deliberately kicked on an extra ball to try and break up our attacking play.

  20. Most fans now at least can see how bad and destructive they are to the club and board members alike . Individually I bet a lot of think the same, so hopefully for the good of our club changes happen soon and stop this charade that has been brought to the club .

  21. I would love someone like him just for the contacts he has. We need someone that can attract players to come up here like he did.

  25. I would say that, although most would deny it, the majority of ICT fans have either a Celtic or Rangers bias. This is pretty much a fact of life among Scottish football fans, and there's not a lot we can do about it - we just have to accommodate it.
