  1. Thanks. I have to admit that I was quite surprised to see us rank so high, especially on the UK Index where we out performed clubs with whole teams of people who are employed solely to manage their social media and budgets that would dwarf our entire club turnover....before you take account of their other media & marketing personnel & budgets. Would also like to say that whilst I might be the man on the front line of the Social Media accounts, if it wasn't for Andy Johnstone & Don Johnstone* (videographers), Peter Paul (Photographer), Jack Davis & Davie Balfour (Previews/Reports/Interviews etc) and Iain Auld (Interviews) then we wouldn't be able to provide the content that fans enjoy, talk about & share. The challenge now is to maintain/improve our position. You can be sure everyone else will now be chasing us, so we have to continue to up our game!!!

  2. Well done to the ICT media team who have came top in Scotland, 24th UK wide, in a review of 148 football/Rugby/cricket club social media in UK. It is worked out on the clubs use of articles/messages posted on Twitter/Facebook, including use of video, images, audio, official apps and links. No suprise who is dwelling in the shadows of the league table. Ross Cownty, 148th of 148!!! http://www.sport.socialmediaindex.co.uk/

  3. Azgaz as a fan is a loser .. why oh why did we have to have him when there were other suitable and available fans. There is only one way he can now progress and that is downwards. His ability to support players once a slide in form begins does not exist. He is one of the most prolific bullshitters in Scottish football and his ability to analyse situations is very poor .. you only had to listen to him on CTO. Goodbye Azgaz, next season it will be a scrap against relegation for County.

  4. Co-incidence is it ? that comeback started with Shinnie as roving midfielder and Raven re instated at right back! Remember Ravens first game out was ST.Johnstone debacle!

  6. I'll be brutally honest here. I don't think Hughes is a good appointment for us. I think he is a very poor manager. However, I don't see how the first half performance was his fault. The team seemed to be set up as it was under Butcher (same personnel, same formation etc.). Our performance in the first half was shambolic at times as we were cut to shreds by a clinical and lightening quick Aberdeen attack. They were clearly the better side than we were in the first 45 minutes although a four goal lead was perhaps a bit harsh on us. Football fans are fickle, myself included. Had we got a 4th I'd probably be proclaiming Hughes as some kind of Simeone type mastermind but we didn't but even I don't think Hughes was to blame.

  7. To be fair I thought we were unlucky for the first two goals. We were on top before the bizarre penalty which I think was Aberdeen's first shot on goal. Robson's header for the second was a complete fluke. Then our midfielders contrived to give the ball away and that put the pressure on our defence and can't blame Warren. He had to cover a lot for Shinnie as well. Despite all that and the great perfomance in the second half I came away feeling we were robbed and should have won. We had at least two legitimate penalty claims and hit the woodwork. The ref did us no favours either and missed a lot of off the ball incidents as well as Aberdeen throw in takers stealing 10 yards up the touchline every time. Hopefully we can now put that result behind us and take the good points of the game into the next few. That includes keeping Raven in the team but not Williams. Shinnie will give us a better shift in the middle of the midfield filling the Richie Foran role while he recovers from injury.

  8. Well my appraisal of the game wasthat we played really well up to the penalty and goal, to my thinking Meekings new little about the offence till the ball hit his arm, it was I'm sure accidental. We were suddenly shell shocked, From potential winning play we slumped into rabbits in the headlights, not intentionally' just lost our way to a team that now new they had the upper hand and we had lost momentum. The other three goals flooded in leaving a very perplexed team to go in for their half time briefing, which obviously was a ruddy good one. Second half I was delighted to see David Raven back in office, he had a great game. Equally delighted to see Graeme go into left half position ( which I have in the past said would be a good move ) It worked and worked well and we were treated to some really exciting football and well taken goals, Oor Billie excelling once again and Graeme getting his just reward for his perseverance, I think we all thought at one point that we were going in with areal chance of getting something out of the game as the tables had been completely turned, it was the Dons who had the shakes now................. How close we came!! All I say now is that our second half performance gave us nothing to be ashamed of even though we lost. We have great team spirit and a bunch of fighters so Well Done ICT and better luck next game, for yes it was that bad luck penalty that stopped us from giving the Dons a thrashing. Don't blame Meekings I am certain there was no intent there just bad luck which triggered off our breakdown. Full marks to Yogi too He managed to smile through adversity and praised the lads for their brave effort despite the loss.

  9. Raven made a big difference to the team when he came on. He has to stay in the team to face Celtic.

  10. What a fight back after a capitulation for 30 min. We definitely don't respond well to conceding the first goal. Warren had a poor game and we missed Watkins (Williams was a passenger and should have been hooked instead of Ross. Gutted that we didn't get the draw that our 2nd half deserved. McKay was outstanding and I thought Toby did well (although his presence encourages the long ball). A tricky spell of games coming, so hopefully the comeback will inspire a great performance at PT. Richie will be out for a few games with dislocated shoulder unfortunately!

  11. Well, I'll give our new manager credit for his half time team talk! Great fight back, and even 'what might have been' if Draper's great header had gone in at 2-4 down. But the second half performance doesn't make up for our complete capitulation after Meekings' crazy mistake for the first goal, after we had been well on top possession-wise at that point. We were just torn apart by Aberdeen's direct style of play in the latter stages of the first half. Poor defending for most of the goals. I thought Warren could have done better for the second goal, and Doran was to blame for the third, losing the ball too easily in the middle of the park. Maybe its just me, but I always think we look a better side with Raven playing. All these recent clean sheets probably prove me wrong, but I don't like Shinnie at right back. Don't know why Ross was hooked. I'd have had Doran off. I think he has been a passenger most of this season. If I'd written this at half time, I'd have been much more critical of much of the team. But I'm encouraged by the spirit shown in the second half, which I hope will continue, so I'm prepared to wait and see how we do in the next few games, before being super critical of some of the individual performances. I had four local friends watching this game with me. All of them thought that the football played by both sides was pretty good at times. Not a bad advert for Scottish football.

  18. I am without any logical reason coming round to the new gaffer. I judge on what he and the players have said since his appointment. Especially our captain. In a few weeks we'll kinda know how things are panning out. Until then its wait and see as this is the part of the season we generally tend to have a slump. I aint #teamyogi yet but am definitely more open minded onwards and upwards and lets keep it goin and lets be honest if we remain in a good position top 6 and hump the dwellers on the 1st then ah'll be fairly convinced it was the right choice after all. Finally after seen the sceptic destroy everything in their path domestically recently probably best to discount any humping we may receive from them in our analysis of hughes as our manager

    • Inverness CT 3-1 Morton - Report
It was a lovely evening for a game of football, what could possibly go wrong? Well, what did go wrong was Queen's Park beat an understrength Airdrie 2-0 at Hampden, therefore despite beating Morton 3-1, Inverness head for the play-offs. Morgan Boyes opened the scoring with a thumping volley after half an hour. Kirk Broadfoot benefited from slack defending to level before the break then proceeded to earn the wrath of the home support with an embarrassing celebration in front of the North Stand. Cammy Harper relieved Billy Mckay of penalty kick duties and duly slotted home from the spot ten minutes after the break. The scoring was completed just after the hour when Sean McAllister drilled home into the bottom corner. Robbie Muirhead had been sent off for simulation then taking a wee fit to himself and was promptly sent off after 58 minutes just after Harper had knocked in his penalty kick, probably aggrieved that he never earned a spot kick for his dramatic dive.

Well, where do you start. It was clear from the begining of the season that something was wrong. Poor signings, dismal performances in the League Cup followed by an abysmal start to the League campaign saw Billy Dodds removed from his position after winning one point in the first six Championship fixtures and replaced by a man with no track record as a manager. A sort of publicity stunt if you like. After the initial new manager bounce wore off, we found ourselves little better off with Big Dunc than we were with wee Billy. We did claw ourselves up to the coat tails of others but the most damning part of our season has been our inability to score goals, especially at home. Only already relegated Arbroath are worse than us. Our team is now full of mercenaries, loan players with no affiliation to our Highland pedigree and many fans have tagged us as being the worst squad ever in our short history. Where are the Golabeck's, Tokeley's, Wilson's..... Much of this can be attributed to our lack of financial nous in the boardroom, failed ventures and now the begging bowls are being put in place to save our club. Having drawn at Dunfermline last week thanks to Aribim Pepple's first goal for the club combined with Billy Mckay's penalty miss, it's now out of our own hands. LAST SIX: D L  W W L  D

    • Dunfermline 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Out of our hands now: It ended in disappointment for the 319 visiting fans with news that Queens Park had hammered Arbroath 0-5. To rub salt into the wounds, Sheridan and Welsh were amongst the scorers. It's out of our hands now, but it's a must win next Friday and hope Queens Park falter.  Inverness play Morton and Queens play Airdrie. A draw might be enough, but it's a long shot.

I'm not convinced that Billy Mckay was the right man to be taking that penalty, his second failure from the spot in successive games against the Pars.

    • Dunfermline Ath -V- Inverness CT - Preview
Aaron Doran looks likely to have pulled on the Caley Jags strip for the last time after limping off against Raith Rovers last Friday. Sean McAllister returning was a bonus though but the mystery deepens as to why Roddy MacGregor, Austin Samuels and Nikola Ujdur are not featuring either on the injury list or the team list. Baffling to be honest as Roddy has the midfield attributes required, Austin has the speed and potential and Nikola in my opinion, if fit, would be my first choice on the team sheet. Are these guys on the way out? Add to that seven or eight loan players, then next season will see a massive restructure and rebuild at the Caledonian Stadium. I imagine the board members are squirming in their seats like Angela van den Bogerd at a Post Office inquiry.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.
