  1. Richie took a smack in the face and needed a stitch or two in his lip.....aside from being a little uglier, there's no issue.

  2. lets get back on topic please. the semantics of 'conspiracy theories' versus 'alternative viewpoints' are all well and good, as are the origin of various groups ... but it is not for this thread. start something up in another part of the forum if thats what you want. Bottom line is that in the current climate - and I would argue that its been like this in the UK for decades due to a threat from closer to home - you simply dont leave bags unattended anywhere, especially at public events.

  3. Thought this would sum up the season pretty well, hats off to young man who put this together. Beating Celtic at their very best and finally reaching the Scottish cup final was a biggie for me. https://youtu.be/f3y-PUd2hr8

  8. After losing so many talented players for nothing, I would suggest that now would be a good time to get Liam Polworth signed up on a minimum 3 year contract. What a prospect he's turning out to be. Won't be long till other clubs are sniffing around with PCAs. The usual. Hopefully the club has learned from the Ryan Christie experience.

  9. Unattended bags have been a big no no for as long as I can remember and not just a result of recent events in Paris. Whether you agree with the reaction or not, it's incredibly naive to think you can just leave a bag laying there and wander off....regardless of where you are in public.

  10. Surely, in the current climate, a little bit of additional security and the minor inconvenience of retrieving a bag is a price worth paying to keep people safe.

  11. What are you all wittering about, the only terrorism being perpetrated is by the security services. There is no war on terror, but there is a war of terror being perpetrated against the middle eastern nations and their poor civilians. Anyone see the "alleged" shooting of the policeman in the Charlie Hebdo attack which was unsurprisingly quickly taken down. In frame 1 there is a cue mark in the middle of the road where the car stops, in the final frame there is a cue mark opposite the front passengers wheel which was not in the first frame, ergo, the scene was shot in at least two takes ie it's a fake. I could go on about so many ridiculous issues surrounding this piece of theater. While I'm about it I would like to point out that President Assad is the democratically elected leader of Syria with 83% of the vote, you wont hear that on the BBC. Enjoy the games at TC stadium without this fearmongering.

  12. Spot on, Charles. Actions speak louder than words and despite all the tiresome anti Tory, anti austerity rhetoric of the SNP, Swinney has delivered an austerity budget that goes beyond even what Osborne delivered for the UK in that not only has he not raised the income tax rate, but yet again he has refused to allow local Councils to increase Council Tax. The pathetic justification given for not using the new devolved tax raising powers they have been shouting long and hard for is that it would be an unacceptable burden for the poorest in our society. Nothing could be further from the truth. The poorest in our society don't pay any income tax and by progressively raising the tax threshold to £11,000, the current government has already taken nearly 300,000 Scots out of income tax altogether. (Wicked, wicked, Tories!) And with regard to the Council tax, Swinney has even more scope to focus any higher payments on those who can afford to pay. Raising the basic rate of income tax would benefit the poorest most and would cost them nothing. Allowing Councils to increase Council Tax rates would again cost the poorest least and give them the most benefit. Whilst appealing to the most vulnerable with their rhetoric, this wretched Scottish Government willfully refuses to use the powers it has in order to raise the money required to support these folk. They claim to be anti-austerity and yet impose austerity with a vengeance for fear of losing the votes of those on whom the tax burden would fall. The level of hypocrisy is truly breathtaking. As a member of the Highland Council's Citizens Panel, I have recently completed a consultation survey on their Budget options. They are looking to see how they can save over £20m from their budget. It is sobering to think that if the SNP had allowed Councils to increase the Council Tax by a modest 1.5% each year, the Highland Council would be raising £16m more in Council Tax next year than the Government is allowing it to. That is £4m more than wee Nicola grandly announced recently that Scotland was giving to "Global Climate Change Justice" to demonstrate her leadership in world climate change politics. Just think, if this Government had not imposed its austerity strategy on the Council, we, in Highland with just 4% of the Scottish population, could have donated £12m to Nicola to save the world and still had £4m left to provide support for some of the most vulnerable in our community.

  15. Actually 12th man this is about ICT off the park, all those fans who see the boogie man round every corner or in every left bag, you have more chance of drowning in your bath than being killed by a terrorist. For those who would like to educate themselves I recommend "The terror factory, inside the FBI's manufactured war on terrorism" by Trevor Aaronson. Doofers dad, if you don't know the significance or origins of ISIS then the joke's on you and what on earth has the Holocaust to do with my comments? very cheap shot. Renegade, I laughed out loud, I do have a sense of humour, even though it's a serious subject. Ok that's me done with this subject.

  16. Ok Kingsmills you reeled me in, I am not trying to be entertaining and the label conspiracy theorist is the derogatory term used by those who are unfamiliar with the facts. I prefer the term alternative view meaning it does not accord with the ministry of truth (see 1984) ie the BBC and main stream media. The attackers in paris and san bernadino were described by independent eyewitnesses as white males, clean shaven in army fatigues driving black SUV's,( sounds a lot like defence contractors) doesn't exactly square with MSM reports now does it?

    • Montrose 0-0 Inverness CT - Play Off 1st Leg
      FULL TIME: 0-0

All to play for on Saturday, but don't hold your breath...

However, if we continue like this, it will be our final game this season.

Best performer for us was Samson Lawal, the only bright spark on the field.

Alloa 2-2 Hamilton was the other semi-final score tonight. On this evidence, I doubt either side will be quaking in their boots.

    • Inverness CT 3-1 Morton - Report
It was a lovely evening for a game of football, what could possibly go wrong? Well, what did go wrong was Queen's Park beat an understrength Airdrie 2-0 at Hampden, therefore despite beating Morton 3-1, Inverness head for the play-offs. Morgan Boyes opened the scoring with a thumping volley after half an hour. Kirk Broadfoot benefited from slack defending to level before the break then proceeded to earn the wrath of the home support with an embarrassing celebration in front of the North Stand. Cammy Harper relieved Billy Mckay of penalty kick duties and duly slotted home from the spot ten minutes after the break. The scoring was completed just after the hour when Sean McAllister drilled home into the bottom corner. Robbie Muirhead had been sent off for simulation then taking a wee fit to himself and was promptly sent off after 58 minutes just after Harper had knocked in his penalty kick, probably aggrieved that he never earned a spot kick for his dramatic dive.

Well, where do you start. It was clear from the begining of the season that something was wrong. Poor signings, dismal performances in the League Cup followed by an abysmal start to the League campaign saw Billy Dodds removed from his position after winning one point in the first six Championship fixtures and replaced by a man with no track record as a manager. A sort of publicity stunt if you like. After the initial new manager bounce wore off, we found ourselves little better off with Big Dunc than we were with wee Billy. We did claw ourselves up to the coat tails of others but the most damning part of our season has been our inability to score goals, especially at home. Only already relegated Arbroath are worse than us. Our team is now full of mercenaries, loan players with no affiliation to our Highland pedigree and many fans have tagged us as being the worst squad ever in our short history. Where are the Golabeck's, Tokeley's, Wilson's..... Much of this can be attributed to our lack of financial nous in the boardroom, failed ventures and now the begging bowls are being put in place to save our club. Having drawn at Dunfermline last week thanks to Aribim Pepple's first goal for the club combined with Billy Mckay's penalty miss, it's now out of our own hands. LAST SIX: D L  W W L  D

    • Dunfermline 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Out of our hands now: It ended in disappointment for the 319 visiting fans with news that Queens Park had hammered Arbroath 0-5. To rub salt into the wounds, Sheridan and Welsh were amongst the scorers. It's out of our hands now, but it's a must win next Friday and hope Queens Park falter.  Inverness play Morton and Queens play Airdrie. A draw might be enough, but it's a long shot.

I'm not convinced that Billy Mckay was the right man to be taking that penalty, his second failure from the spot in successive games against the Pars.

Aaron Doran looks likely to have pulled on the Caley Jags strip for the last time after limping off against Raith Rovers last Friday. Sean McAllister returning was a bonus though but the mystery deepens as to why Roddy MacGregor, Austin Samuels and Nikola Ujdur are not featuring either on the injury list or the team list. Baffling to be honest as Roddy has the midfield attributes required, Austin has the speed and potential and Nikola in my opinion, if fit, would be my first choice on the team sheet. Are these guys on the way out? Add to that seven or eight loan players, then next season will see a massive restructure and rebuild at the Caledonian Stadium. I imagine the board members are squirming in their seats like Angela van den Bogerd at a Post Office inquiry.
