  1. Great day out ( apart from the match which was a bit forgettable ) in memory of our unforgettable Johndo. Great to meet up with some old faces, Isla making the game again and an appearance from a blast from the past in Ian Coia! - looks like he may be re-converted. Football, 2 goals in 4 games is totally honking, signing an 18 yr old Bavidge is not going to sort it. Young Ferguson is a very poor attempt at a striker, and unless DF changes his tactics and gets new players in we are going to struggle.

  2. You've gotta laugh at Ferguson slaughtering the Kelty pitch. This would be the same pitch he was happy to train on 5 days a week a few short weeks ago. The guy is a clown and irrespective of the cost we need to to get rid. The fact he continues to bring his hapless son on when we're chasing a win is reason enough to pull the trigger. The board members present yesterday were left in no doubt what the travelling support think of our manager and it's high time they took heed.

  3. Had Rangers scored any more the county fans would have needed to start counting on their second hand.

  4. Well, after a first half that was a non-event we were the better side overall and the only team trying to win the match in the second half. Kelty will be much happier with the point. We had the best 3 chances of the match but (I think) Mckay, Mackinnon and Allan all missed the target and that’s the most disappointing thing, we just didn’t make their keeper work. Recurring theme with this side. We were at least trying to attack, but struggled to find space on a tight pitch and rarely cut through. A very forgettable match but it was great to see some old faces in the away support. Oh, and the ref was sh**e.

  7. A long way to go, we’ve just started the season. Let’s not get too high or low on a 0-0 away from home. Like all ICTFC fans I want the team to win every game, but we know that’s unrealistic to expect. As a few guys have rightly already mentioned, taken where we were two weeks ago, for me its just satisfying to know we’re in a hell of a better place than we could have been had the dice rolled a little differently. Regarding the team. I’m for blooding the younger players early! They will run all day long and learn (for good or bad) quickly. The older heads will keep a grip on things as they gell and improve as a team. Don’t underestimate the effect on player moral and added effort the announcement of A Savage’s intervention and the group’s plan for the club. It stabilises the player’s security for at least the season and provides a platform to if not reach a play off spot, make the season more hopeful. DF will have been told I expect (by CC more than AS), he has to deliver a more forward playing game. He has the support of these two individuals for now, but DF knows it’s not up for debate and he has I expect till January to deliver a better product. I will be present next Saturday and will be looking for and expect a ICTFC victory.

  8. Firstly, I am sure there are many managers up and coming & experienced who could do a better job on far less money than DF & GB etc. I have counted all those with contracts and including the new signing today, there are 26 player on the books with full time contracts of which one is currently on loan to Forres, some are young admittedly , but we are are in league 1 where most teams are part time, we are full time. The average age of the team is 21. There are two video analysis guys ( Fraser somebody & Allan or Owen) I think are their names. As for the manager……… are you happy with him and happy he continues to manage in the way he does ?????????? I stick to the facts and what I see on the pitch. I attend every home game and most aways. How about you?????.

  9. A 0-0 draw may be a bit disappointing but for the first time for a while, it has been a better week to be a Caley Thistle fan than a County fan.

  12. Mar0-0ned Table toppers Kelty Hearts welcomed the Caley Jags to New Central Park, and this was not just for a training session. Musa Dibaga retained the golves with Jack Newman possibly requiring surgery on his knee and Luis Longstaff is out for a month with a thigh injury. New signing Paul Allan was on the bench. Some 0-0 draws are not as dull as the scoreline might suggest. Well, unfortunately this was not the case here as both sides were reluctant to take the game to their opponents which resulted in a game as dull as dishwater. The visitors did look marginally more industrious, but it would be stretching the imagination somewhat to suggest that we should have won. Billy Mckay shot over from the edge of the box in our best only moment of the first half. Musa made a couple of routine saves and one from a fierce shot but he was not overly exerted. Adams in the Kelty goal had even less to deal with although part of that was down to our inability to get shots on target. In truth, neither side deserved to win, and in the same vein, neither side deserved to lose, so stalemate it was and a point apiece. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thankfully, the wee social club was the focal point of the Johndo Awayday as olde faces gathered to remember our fallen comrade. Great to meet up with Isla and Gareth and remember the past and also some well kent faces from better times, Iain Coia, the Wyness Shufflers and many more. Pos Team Pld W D L F A Pts Matchday 4 1. 13. The kindest thing I can say about him so far is that he ‘offers something different’. Make of that what you will!

  14. A good CTO turn out at the game. It was a great day and so nice to see so many people that I haven't seen in a while

  15. I don’t care if Sir AF backs him, this manager is taking us nowhere. A full time team in a predominantly part time league, with a manager, assistant manager, first team coach ( kellacer), goal keeping coach, twenty five or six or seven full time players, supporting staff, video analysis guy, so well resourced, and we can’t seem to improve or get better under DF and his inept staff. Enough is enough. Come on AS and the culpable board, you can see it too, surely ???????

  16. Anyone who thinks we're going to be competing for top spot this season is deluded. The club has been an utter mess for 5+ years and any meagre resources that can be pulled together must go to sorting that out and shoring up the foundations so we can build in the future. In saying that I still think we have a capable squad with more potential than they are being allowed to show at present given the tactics being deployed. Whatever the cost of changing the management team right now we simply don't have the money and I'd rather we spens what little we might be able to scrape together on an additional forward. Whether it's Ferguson or another manager that is needed and I'd be amazed if we could get both. I'm no Ferguson fan and I'm not going to preach that people need to get behind him or any such thing but I am going to try and just ignore him and put energy into getting behind the team. Which might be hugely frustrating at times. Fans are now being heard but we need to not be acting like spoiled children expecting everything we shout for. Savage has just saved the club from imminent collapse. Let that be enough for now.

    • Arbroath 3-0 Inverness CT - League 1
We've had better days to be honest. We were smoked by the smokies today with Arbroath making the most of their opportunities whilst we mainly failed to make the keeper work too hard to earn his corn. By the end of the game the Eagle had been subdued...

    • Arbroath -V- Inverness CT - League1
We play Arbroath on Saturday at Gayfield in a Stadium with recent damage to their stand. Well I never! Saturday is the 8th of February and it's 25 years to the day since the last time this happened. SuperCaleygobalisticArbroathareatrocious won't have the same impact or quite the same ring to it, but a repeat of that famous scoreline will do nicely.

    • Inverness CT 1-0 Queen of the South - League 1
Inverness gained revenge for a 3-2 defeat eleven days ago at Palmerston when Alfie Bavidge struck his fourth goal in five games with a neat finish from the left side of the penalty box after being fed through by Paul Allan following good work by the returning Luis Longstaff. It was a tight game against a robust Doonhamers side

    • Inverness CT -V- Queen of the South - League1
It's an early chance for revenge after we were beaten in Dumfries nine days ago as Queen of the South visit the Caledonian Stadium on Saturday afternoon, having won 3-2 at Palmerston. They have climbed to third in the table with former Caley Jag Adam Brooks scoring for fun in recent games. Luis Longstaff has trained this week and if he shows no reaction he will be included in the squad.

    • Alloa Athletic 1-2 Inverness CT - League 1
FULL TIME: 1-2: This was a huge win for the Caley Jags with Dumbarton losing and Annan Athletic drawing today after equalising in the last minute. Meh! Only two points behind Annan now and twelve points ahead of Dumbarton although they have a game in hand over us. We showed great resilience to weather the storm and push on for the win. Pleasing and deserved result after the disappointment in midweek at Dumfries.
