  1. I wonder if our resident psychologist can shed some light on the post-traumatic feelings we are all going through and the different ways we deal with them. I'm guessing that there are a number of standard ways that people cope with massive disappointment, and whichever one you adopt reflects your personality in some way. Denial, anger, and apportionment of blame are possible responses that spring to mind. I was thinking about the fans initially, but I guess there are similar (or worse) issues for the players.
  2. No. We are a lower league club, remember?
  3. I'm not a jinx, I just pick the wrong games to attend. Although I did consider making myself one of the options in the Blame Poll.
  4. Positive: I'll now be cancelling my Setanta and saving ?144 a year.
  5. And a beauty from Kingsmills. Posted on: Apr 21 2009, 10:53 AM

  7. Only 20%?! What % will ICT's revenue be falling by?
  8. Not sure if this makes me feel better or worse. Worse, I think. Number of points the bottom team ended up with. 2001 30 St Mirren 2002 21 St J 2003 28 Motherwell 2004 26 Partick 2005 33 Dundee 2006 18 Livi 2007 32 Dunfermline 2008 23 Gretna 2009 37 ICT
  9. Who do you blame for our relegation? You can tick as many as you want on this poll.
  10. I believe there is a board meeting tomorrow evening to discuss budgets and contracts for next season. And I agree that the financial consequences are dire. St J lost ?1.8m in their season after relegation, but had Geoff Brown to keep them afloat. Bleak times ahead, I fear. There will be massive cuts in the wage budget - both on and off the pitch. Office staff will go, coaching and youth setups will be cut back and we may also end up without a salaried Director of Football. We certainly ought to. One further fear is that the board decide they cannot afford to keep Terry and Mo.
  11. He heard my plea. Respect! Taking one for the team. Or should that be from the team?
  12. Send some ladies (and guys) to their rooms to tire them out. Anyone willing to make that sacrifice for ICT? Your club needs you.
  13. You saying he's a donkey?!
  14. I disagree there. Being a local lad Fraser will give everything, and would relish playing against us next season. I'm not so sure on Esson's motivation, especially if he thinks he'll be away in the summer.
  15. Nothing hypothetical about this question, just who do you want to be in goals against Falkirk?
  16. Oh to have a real goalscorer. I was reading that since January Kevin Kyle has scored 8 goals against the bottom 3 teams, and in doing so being resposible for 11 points for Killie (as well as a lack of points for the other teams). If they didn't have him and played someone else who still managed (say) a very respectable 5 goals in that time, they'd probably have been relegated a week or two ago. Here are our top scorers this season (SPL games only). Being top scorer with 5 goals must be a record. 5 Rooney (none in 2009. And interestingly in the 5 games he scored in, we took a total of 1 point) 4 Imrie 4 Black 3 Morais 3 Foran Falkirk don't really have a prolific scorer either, but still have 3 players who have got more than our best: 8 Lovell 7 Arfield 6 Higdon 4 Finnigan
  17. Are you saying we should have kept Brewster? Who knows, we might already be safe if we had, but we'll never know. Although I suspect relegation would have been sealed a couple of weeks ago.
  18. Apparently he was, didn't you see the way he went down?!
  19. At least 4, depending on how many we lose by. It has taken Hamilton 11 games to score their last 4 goals, so don't hold your breath.
  20. If we go down I expect TB and MM will jump ship to fill vacancies at Falkirk or such like in the summer.
  21. They are "laying" into him here with some good gags: http://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/index.ph...107144&st=0
  22. Paul Ritchie and Bobby Mann at Dunfermline, in a midweek game where we were diabolical and 2-0 down late on but somehow got the most underserved point I can remember.

    Hearts

They'll probably be getting rid of many of their high earners and replacing them with guys like Black who are a fraction of the cost. Isn't Kingston on ?15k a week?
  24. The pain must have been eggscruciating. :(
