Our next six league games

These games could arguably be described the making or breaking of our season.

How many points can we realistically expect to pick up from the following?

28/11/2009 - Partick Thistle - Inverness CT

05/12/2009 - Queen of the South - Inverness CT

12/12/2009 - Inverness CT - Raith Rovers

19/12/2009 - Dunfermline - Inverness CT

26/12/2009 - Inverness CT - Dundee

02/01/2010 - Inverness CT - Ross County

Obviously we have to look at taking three points from every game we go into. However, I think we will collect the following:

28/11/2009 - Partick Thistle - Inverness CT 1 point

05/12/2009 - Queen of the South - Inverness CT 1 point

12/12/2009 - Inverness CT - Raith Rovers 3 points

19/12/2009 - Dunfermline - Inverness CT 1 point

26/12/2009 - Inverness CT - Dundee 1 point

02/01/2010 - Inverness CT - Ross County 1 point

I hope the guys make me eat those words before anyone jumps on my pessimism!

I'd be happy with 10 points out of a possible 18. In my opinion that would keep us in contention in this very competitive league. The way I think we will acieve that total is very close to RIG's prediction apart from the fact that I think we might scrape a win against County next time around.

Agree that 10 points from these games would be a decent return, very tough though and need to up our game to achieve that

They are tough, but we need atleast 10 points. Obviously more would be welcome though.

28/11/2009 - Partick Thistle - Inverness CT 3

05/12/2009 - Queen of the South - Inverness CT 3

19/12/2009 - Dunfermline - Inverness CT 1

And a trophy in the cabinet.

I will have some off what you are drinking Alex  :) Seriously good on you optimistic in the extreme :015:

The strange thing is that we are capable of the extremes from DC to Alex.

Yes very true

We have an excellent away record so Partick and Queens are wins. We should beat Raith. Dunfermline have the making of us so I see a draw. Shore it up against Dundee, they're getting too many draws. County has to be a win end of.

28/11/2009 - Partick Thistle - Inverness CT win

05/12/2009 - Queen of the South - Inverness CT a draw

12/12/2009 - Inverness CT - Raith Rovers win

19/12/2009 - Dunfermline - Inverness CT win

26/12/2009 - Inverness CT - Dundee win

02/01/2010 - Inverness CT - Ross County - a win against the wuds. We'll have space to play and our pitch isn't a tattie field.

I hope that for these games we get some of the top cat one refs like Calum Murray in. One of my pals who is a pars season ticket holder told me that qos basically kicked them off the park.

isnt it strange how our form is slightly turning round? 2 home wins, 1 away loss.

This is definitely make or break. have to say unless we up our game, im slightly worried. sure, we can beat the diddy teams by 4 and 5 goals.....but when it comes to the bigger teams and we dont up our game for them, we are dreadful.

whatever happens next week, the week after getting a result against partick would be very welcoming, then its a big one against queens, and take it from there...

28/11/2009 - Partick Thistle - Inverness CT 2-2

05/12/2009 - Queen of the South - Inverness CT 2-1

12/12/2009 - Inverness CT - Raith Rovers 3-1

19/12/2009 - Dunfermline - Inverness CT 0-1

26/12/2009 - Inverness CT - Dundee 1-1

26/12/2009 - Inverness CT - Dundee 1-1

02/01/2010 - Inverness CT - Ross County 2-1

I hope you're putting a few quid on that? Then you can buy us the league.

well we wont win them all i cant see tht but all home games are a must to show tht we have turned the corner at home and then collecting points on the road will be a bonus but i can see us picking points up at partick at dunfermiline but queens tht is the biggie

theres a lot of 6 pointers there. think we need 12 to 14 points if we're serious about a title chance.we'll know whether its on or not after these games anyway if we dont already

I'll make a comment rather than a prediction. There have been a lot of draws in this league and there will be a lot more to come. But with 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw I think the key in this division will be which team can avoid drawing too many games.

If we were to draw all six matches then 6 points. If we win 3 and lose 3 then 9 points. As long as the team is playing attacking football then it won't matter if we lose a few matches. Now that all our strikers are scoring and we are the top scoring side in the division there is no reason we can't beat any team home and away. We won't, of course, but 4 wins and 2 defeats will do me nicely.

If we can just keep in contention until the January takeover we will still be going up.

........ or at least come close with some decent football. Happy times.

12 points. Tough few weeks ahead and we won't win them all but we can make a good dent in the points deficit.

i think our season will depend a lot on what happens next week in Perth, if we win it will be a good confidence boost for the team and i can see us taking at least 12 points.
