Baws. 1-1. Sounds fully deserved - St Mirren have had far more of the last 20 minutes with Dargo the main creative force. Terry will need to apply a bit of the boot at half time - sounds like we've created almost nothing since the goal.

1-1 Dargo inspired but scored by Thomson, sounds like it was unstoppable. HT

annoyed i couldnt be there but i cant risk the roads up here but i thought we were going to get to HT leading ah well doesnt change what terry will say looks like we have been outplayed since the goal

Scotty, all noted.

could really be doing with a goal real soon!!! feeling edgy here.

Watching Man U v Sunderland. Two candidates for man of the match Berbatov for 2 goals and loads of shots and Craig Gordon, who has made some stunning saves, mostly from Berbatov strikes.

Embarassing, we have sounded woeful right enough.

to be honest, doesnt sound like any of our guys have deserved it ..... 2 goals, one a beauty just before HT, and one possibly a winner would suggest Steven Thomson might have been deserving of it.

Unbelievable... chances to get a draw, at least??

Gah. Really disappointing. Guess it's days like this that remind us why Butcher is so keen to strengthen in January.

Worried about Wednesday now though. Killie seem to be a much stronger team than St Mirren at the moment.

bit dissapointing we had to be favourites and we got the lead but why did we let them back in it we should have pushed on and tried to double our lead but not a result that i didnt expect

The team?

Too much Christmas pud in their bellies maybe?

ah well boys killie on wednesday maybe have hayes back so big game come on boys if u look at it we havent lost out to badly as the teams below us have lost or didnt play if we beat killie we give ourselves a little cushion its dundee united im worried about with 3 games in hand over us

We got exactly what we deserved today. Out thought & out fought by a motivated and well organised St Mirren.

Only pass marks for our side were Esson & possibly Shinnie and I was dissapointed Butcher didn't change things much sooner, then again there wasn't much on the bench to choose from.

Bit of a reality check for us after such a wondeful run but hopefully we can bounce back.

We'll need to improve dramatically on Wednesday or Killie will tear us apart

Good god, that was not fun at all.

Positives:

Ryan Esson made some sensational saves in the first half

Shane Sutherland didn't look out of place

Shinnie was probably our best outfield player

Negatives:

An awful match to watch

It was freezing

Their midfield overran Duncan, Cox and Ross

We had less width than Kate Moss' waist

Munro looked terrified of Dargo's pace - his hesitancy out on the touchline in the build up to the first goal was criminal

Tokely looked bossed by Higdon

Too many experienced players didn't turn up today - in addition to the centre-backs, I thought Duff, Duncan and Foran were all really poor today

Yet again, the ref was inept - tooting his whistle every time Higdon collapsed theatrically, whilst allowing non-stop wrestling and shirt-tugging of our players. Bring back the foreign officials

We need Jonny Hayes back, and fast.

Get a goal, switch off, drop deep and wait till the equaliser comes!

In the second half we switch to a more traditional 4-4-2 which makes us look tactically much more stable and results in very few chances for St Mirren. We then run out of steam and do not make substitutions and lose an unfortunate goal.

Whilst individuals had poor games, I would think that Butcher should look himself in the mirror and ask whether he should have changed the formation and made the subsitutions earlier!

We seem to be incapable of taking home games by the scruff of the neck and being positive in an attacking sense.

And yet we continue to play on what has to be one of the widest pitches in the SPL.... ninja.gif

On a more positive note the team will turn in a better performance against Killie. Disappointing to lose today but we usually are a bit pishy against the wee teams.

Pass marks to Esson and the youngsters Shinnie, Ross and Sutherland.

Particular criticism to Foran who did very little and seemed to provide no leadership at all. The quickest he moved all afternoon was when he was taken off.

Criticism to Butcher as well. The team played far too deep and the the substitions were too little too late.

A top 6 finish seems unlikely on this showing. We have got to start winning this type of match.

Woeful performance on our part today. Easy things were made to look difficult today and the use of width through Johnny Hayes was clearly missed throughout the match. Though the performance of Shane was a positive factor.

Credit to the Midden, they came with a gameplan and they worked it well. We went into our shell after taking the lead and got punished as a result.

We could've won it 2nd half but we were wasteful which was rather typical to the day. Tbh this defeat is probably something the team needed. We are not unbeatable and perhaps some players needed reminding of that. I think we are in need of a midfielder that can shift the ball about though, and one or two more pacey players.

On the plus side, Esson made some simply stunning saves today. The big man had no chance with either goal, he was motm.

I saw this coming. Its just typical of ICT to fall flat in the games they should be taking points. Am not too worried, and to be honest...i think it will do us good, and bring the team down to earth and remind them that theres more to this league than just raising your game against the top teams. Still....all in all....the good games against OF etc mean nothing if you cant take points from the "lesser" teams
