Ferguson was brought down, followed by having the ball punted against his head so took a sore one for billy to fluff the penalty. Apart from that pretty spot on.

Cheers for the updates RossP. Sounds like it was a good run-out for the team with most of the first-team lads getting a game. Hopefully the injuries aren't serious and just early season over-stretching! Good to hear that young Calum Ferguson has started the season with a few goals - maybe pushing for a squad place this season.

Just one negative - why was Billy taking the penalty?! He's missed 4 of his last 5 for us...and although this 'doesn't count', that's 5 missed from his last 6!!

But anyway, roll-on Saturday and Elgin!

Good result but looks like Forres a bit rough on us again - three injuries! Billy really has to re-learn to take penalties or give them to someone else. 

Maybe JH knows this about Billy's penalties and wants him to get the message early on that maybe he

will not be chosen as the first penalty taker when the season starts. You are right, his record is

less than stellar.

Tansey is the man to look out for. Give him the ball and the opportunity and he will show you the way

to go. What a belter of a football he is. Keepers must be shaking in their boots when he takes

the penalties.

We didn't do any video at Clach as it's a nightmare to get a position to shoot from.

 

Should hopefully get the full Forres game up this weekend and other friendlies will also be put online in full.

 

Had some issues with getting mobile broadband connections at Clach and Forres for doing updates...and neither had working wifi.  Fingers crossed not the same issue at Elgin.

Been away for a few days so just caught up on this thread.  A good strong team to start with.  Hope the injuries talked about are not serious.  Disappointed to see Billy taking another penalty. Surely we've learned our lesson there over the past 2 seasons.

 

Looking forward to seeing updates on the Elgin game later today.
