  • Even more reason for our fans to get behind the team next season. Grab a season ticket, get along to some more games, buy the new strip do whatever you can to get behind the team and help them get bac

  • Why are you so excited to see RC get relegated or fail? There's no logic to it at all - its detrimental to the local economy for both Dingwall & Inverness as both home & travelling fans spend

No, when we get promotion by winning the end of season play-offs, and County get relegated by losing theirs, we will still be in different leagues next season.

Imagine getting County in the play offs and beating them that would be like the cup win all over again :cheer01::clapoverhead:  but we need to get there first and need someone who can score goals:amazed:

So is the possibility emerging of an ICT v Ross County play-off for Premiership status next season, then? IF County were to finish 11th in the Premiership and Inverness were to make their way through the jungle which is the battle to become the single Championship side to contest the honour, then you have the Mother of all Highland Derbies!

EDIT... written while Polo Chick was posting similarly above.

Uncle Roy will bail them out in January by spending another small fortune.

nothing wrong with that if he loves the club and can afford it

What if he buys Vigurs or Polworth?

Then we get some money to help keep our club afloat and to reinvest in our efforts to get back into the Premiership.

fine with me

In the premiership hopefully! We're not so far behind the pace now. A top four finish is do-able and then anything can happen.

If we are getting on average 2100 attendances and this is spl attendances how are they financially viable as a club?

Why on earth should we be concerned about the viability of any club other than our own ?

I agree we shouldn't be "concerned", as in "worried". But it could well be worth understanding how they keep afloat, because we might be able to learn something from them!

Is the simple answer not that they have a wealthy individual willing to subsidise them year upon year ?

You mean not totally unlike ICT being baled out by Tullochs?

HUGE AWAY SUPPORT

I don't think the home support was great at Hamilton either..... the total crowd figure is 1272.

On the contrary, it is indeed totally unlike the two occasions both well over a decade ago when we were baked out by Tullochs and, perhaps more to the point, love him or loath him, Roy McGregor's only motive is the love of the club he supports.

It's a distinct possibility! Part of me wants it to happen (purely to get the derbies back), but, like it or not, County are flying the flag for Highland football in the Premier just now - it's like 2 fingers up to the SPFL/SFA & all the Central Belt clubs who moan about the travelling!

Would love to see the Highland Derbies back in a couple of seasons, but in the Premier league! Won't be next season though, barring a miracle

Our away crowds aren't much to sing about and our home attendances are swindling fast. There's a lot more to be concerned with than however many County fans are going to their games. Just over 2,000 turned up yesterday (allegedly). Where have all of our fans gone?

Must have been some bake off competition that year . Maybe we need Mary Berry on the board.
