Was doing some stat checking this morning as we try to get all our figures up to date and came across one stat that doesnt seem to have been publicised yet ......

ICT are only FOUR goals away from scoring their 1000th competitive goal !!!!

If I could have my way Michael Fraser would take penalties as well.

I think, to be realistic the magic goal is more likely to come next week at Easter Road or maybe even the following week against Rangers.

I've got a feeling it might be Graham Bayne that gets it and I for one wouldn't be delighted for him :022:

Yes TCF, but if you had your way Tokely would be playing as a striker

i think it will be a russel duncan special and against gretna as we whip them 7-1

Shame rory went on loan

would have loved to see him score it and shut up all his critics at the same time :blah01:

What about insisting Fraser stays in his box and continues to improve his goalkeeping.

:023:

David Bingham to score an own goal and our fourth of the day tomorrow...  :021: :crazy07:

Absolutely.  Look at Lee Wilkie, he's a defender turned striker and on Michael Fraser taking free-kicks and penalties, it worked for Chilavert and Sao Paulo keeper Rogerio Ceni does it on a regular basis so why not Fraser.

Thats because those two are the best freekick takers in their team.

Having watched Mikey on many occasions that these players are better equiped for freekicks:

Cowie

Bazza

Rankin

Black

Niculae

Hastings

McGuire

Tokely

McBain

Hart

Bayne

Wyness

Proctor

Munro

Duncan

Wish we had pushed for the 1000th goal today... hopefully I'm wrong but I can see us going a few games now without scoring... it's always the way it works

From an extremely selfish point of view, I'm actually happy they finished at 3. I've got a good chance of Easter Road next week and therefore be able to witness the goal for myself. :003:

It very nearly was Duncan

niculae  will  get the 1000th  goal  no  doubt

Eh...?  Wilkie has not turned striker... he was sent up front when the Arabs had injury problems.

I sincerely hope we achieve the milestone next week. Otherwise, as Harry Chibbr suggests, the milestone could quickly become a millstone.

If he scores at Easter Road I will take ma top off and sit like that fer the rest of the game.

Would like it to be Dennis.  He deserves it for is ICT efforts and it will wind up the Hibs fans as he is an ex Jambo.  It will probably be Rob Jones OG!

I'm thinking Marcus Pitalineon is going to welcome his brother back to Scottish football by scoring our 1000th goal, and ultimately winner against Hibees on Saturday.
