Am I missing something here? Since when did Adam become so good? Yep, he banged in a fair few goals last year, and he's got a few already this year (how many have been penalties though?), but I don't think he's improved massively. He still mistimes his jumps, he's not great in the air, and he misses as many as he scores. I'm not knocking him at all, and I hope he stays, but he's nowhere near as good as all the hype surrounding him at the moment.5 points

Go back to our first season when we played Celtic at Aberdeen. I seem to recall a player called Lennon was instrumental in having Juanjo (spelling) sent off for head butting. The TV later showed that there had been NO contact and that Lennon was indeed a cheat. Is he not now doing the same thing by crying foul at every opportunity, both real and imangined! Is he bringing the game into disrepute by his behavour? What should the SFA do? neksor2 points

Just heard that Lee Cox is out for saturday, possibly out for a couple of weeks, so looks like Russeldinho will slot in beside Duff, if anything the team lines will look better, nothing worse than having Duff Cox in yer team eh? But in reality i'm glad Russell will be back in the team, he seems to read the game better than Cox and has far more experience.2 points

Juanjo later had his red card rescinded by the SFA, yet Lennon escaped punishment. Also note that the referee that day was a certain Dougie MacDonald. IT'S A CONSPIRACY..2 points

I don't think there's much in it myself between Rooney & Nish. Playing for Hibs and their demanding fans has ripped the confidence out of Nish. He always did well against us, whether it was Clyde, Killie, or early at Hibs. On the other hand Butch is getting the very best out of Rooney and he might not develop further. Under a different boss he may even go backwards. Good luck to the big man anyway, you couldn't meet a nicer guy. Wee Kev's OK going forward but he's a pretty hesitant/uncommitted defender IMO. I don't know how often he actually played for Hibs to give people an opinion. Maybe Rankin's another guy like Rooney who did well here. ICT have a habit of getting the right people running the club, the right spirit at the club, and great commitment from pretty average players. That goes a long long way and is how we keep up with far larger clubs like Hibs and Aberdeen.2 points

Hi Guys We are safe but I can't say the same for others in Brisbane, Toowoomba or the Lockyer Valley. I live less than 1km from the river not that far from where it opens into Moreton Bay. I went down to the river and watched furniture, tanks, 150m of river walkway hurl down the river. We were lucky in Brisbane because we had 2 days warning that the water was coming. The poor people of the Lockyer Valley just west of Brisbane didn't know an 8 metre wall of water was coming at them until it arrived. It wiped out entire villages and farms with about 60 people still missing. Thank you to all my friends from CTO for their concern.2 points

Aberdeen - Blackman (Blackburn Rovers - loan) - Forward Aberdeen - Milsom (Fulham) - Midfielder Kilmarnock - Laurant (Le Havre) - Midfielder Feel that Brown and Knox will make some decent signings in this window and I expect to see Aberdeen go on a good run - they seem to have instilled a new found confidence in the players already.1 point

Shush. Folk are just trying to help the Board get as much for him as possible.1 point

We've now got to the situation that no matter what happens they'll always be in the spotlight and the media will revel in it. If the SFA clamp down on his antics they'll moan and berate the decision just like they are doing now and his board will back him to the hilt even though he is in the wrong, if the SFA do what they usually do which is Sweet FA he'll keep acting that way. The only way for it to stop is for the SFA to keep punishing him and start punishing Celtic as well, they employ him so he represents them, he's had his warning and 6 match ban so anymore and the club should be hammered too. It's about time Reid realised that there are other clubs in Scotland and not just Celtic and start acting like one of the so called big two. Lennon's antics are a shambles and only highlight what type of a man he is, that is not passion that he shows, it's anger and rage and not the sort of example that should be set to kids watching the game. His actions can only be liked to that of a rottweiler foaming at the mouth and it's out of order, no place for it in our game. If TB was acting like that I would be embarrassed for him.1 point

plenty people know someone who knows someone who spoke to someone ....................................................... believe it when I see it, my fear is there will be bigger clubs well aware of his situation1 point

The word long playing record springs to mind when talking about Lennon, I feel he has taken the game back decades with his rants especially if they are associated with any conspiracy theories. I feel the SFA and the SPL need to take drastic action and serve him a touchline ban of at least 10 games. For the record I do not support either of the Old Firm. I just feel that after the referee strike which cost teams in the lower leagues lots of money in hospitality and gate recipts he should be made an example of.1 point

When we had Hibs up here I spoke to a few of their fans in the Caley Club who were adamant back then he was gonna sign for Hibs in January. Interestingly enough, his goal against Elgin is the only one he's had since that day.. Put it down to the lack of service without Hayes but he hasn't scored in the SPL for just shy of 2 months. Don't see where all this is coming from rather than a few posters on forums though. All we have is one person saying he's heard it's for £200k plus Nish and people are jumping to conclusions. I severely doubt this would be the deal. £200k would be a brilliant return on it's own from an ICT perspective right enough, given he could well leave for nout in the summer. On another note, I'd welcome Rankin back anyday to TCS, and think Nish could still do a job in the SPL as well. To be honest I don't see why Rooney would want to move to Hibs though. IMO if he's going to stay in Scotland then he's aswell staying with us though. Big if, but IF Hamilton win their 2 games in hand.. Hibs would then be joint bottom with Midden. It wouldn't be a step forward for Adam at all, and would show a complete lack of ambition from him. Wouldn't begrudge him the Inter Milan move though.1 point

There is a protection racket within the licensing board in Inverness in that the interests of the chosen few are protected. This makes Inverness and laughing stock and only serves to cause more problems than it actually prevents. I was out recently and had to queue for a certain Inverness nightspot. There was a queue all the way up the street with probably about 60 to 70 people behind my group of friends. After we got in just before 12 they stopped letting people in because it was midnight. What were those people supposed to do? a lot of them were angry because that was their night out over prematurely. These people are left roaming the streets angrilly and thats where problems arise. Also while queuing there was a lot of people trying to push to the front so they would get in by 12. This was dangerous in itself. If you are lucky enough to get in somewhere and you are not enjoying your night there is no option to try somewhere else. As a result people stay in places they are not enjoying, this is how fighting starts and how people decide to gte so drunk they won't care if they are having a good tieme or not. It also serves to line the pockets of places like Johnny Foxes who in my opinion have too much say in how licenses are issued in the city. Look at the trouble Mambo's/Barbazza's/Maverick's had keeping their late license. The council have patronised people in Inverness as well as lied to us with backwords reasoning as to why this ineffective, stupid, corrupt rule has been kept in place.1 point

With KB on this one. Nish has a lot to prove, like Dargo when he came here, and maybe he will. If the deal at ?200k plus Nish is true, then I think it would be a fantastic piece of business.1 point

If Rooney was under contract then i would expect him to worth at least the same if not more than Connor Sammon. Unfotunately he is not under contract and fees of around ?100k - ?150k are being banded around. Too many times this club have missed out on potential transfer fees because we have not players tied to contracts. We should have had Adam tied to a contract long before now. Not only would it guarantee us a transfer fee if he decided to move but we would not be left in the middle of the season with the problem of replacing our primary goal threat.1 point

I think it's a little harsh and early to include Gil right now. He's had to come over and settle in and his injury will not have helped him. If he can stay fit and get into the team in the run in then his ability can be judged. If he doesn't stay fit then it will probably be considered a wasted signing but at least give him a chance to prove his worth. Anything you'll have seen will just be him feeling his way back as he's been out a bit so will probably be rusty. Besides he's this years exotic foreigner. We dont get too many so we better make the most of it!. Judge him at the end of the season though.1 point

As i remember foxy was quite a good player and was a shame he was let go and he was with club before spl i believe. As for alan morgan he was not the best and certainly a poor signing. Watt, gatuhessi and byrne nevr got a break in team to be seen as bad or not. McSwegan and zibi were awful signings. If i was to add to the list although a club legend the re-signing of golly was poor i would add blumenstien to this list also as simply doesn't cut it in spl. Tbh I thought the re-signing of Golly was a real turning point in our season last year. Until he came back we were stuck with Zadi at Left Back. I also think his performance up against Leigh Griffiths at Dens (2-2) was superb.1 point

We had a feckin great re-union but there was an unanimous decision made at the closure of the lock in that we would be doing a dis service to the good old days to turn up at a game against a once proud outfit who are simply 3rd class. It really is great to have hooked such a big sprat on what was clearly - to most - a fishing trip from the first cast.-1 points

Outrageous statement. Shouldn't have left for Motherwell to play second fiddle to ruddy however was a good goalie. Stupid comment can that single comment be put to 'general nonsense' section-1 points

Not just a good goal. He was our Captain and scored our first ever SPL goal. To mention his name in a thread about "worst" players in the SPL is ridiculous, disrespectful and ignorant. IGNORANT???? how does that become ignorant. if he was such a good player for us he would have been in the team, he would have survived after the injury and would have bounced back. i am not saying he was one of the worst but there have been plenty far better than him. and if you look back to my original comment you will see i was pointing out that this thread is about the spl not the first division-1 points

The rumour as interpreted by BBC in their friday gossip column is: Hibernian are poised to swoop for Inverness striker Adam Rooney as boss Colin Calderwood is eager to strengthen his squad with Derek Riordan and Colin Nish on their way out of Easter Road. That statement suggests to me that Nish is on his way out of Hibs, not that he's coming to us.-1 points
