Now that he's playing a holding/defensive midfielder type position, I'm happy to see him signing a new deal.2 points

So you do pronounce the g? I wondered... Incidentally, can anyone tell me definitively whether the g in 'Gnasher' was/is pronounced? When I was a kid, the Beano readers at school could never reach a consensus. silent G.My dad worked for DC Thompson for some time, in commando comics, so he knows. Which Commando Comic did Gnasher appear in? I don't remember reading that one The one where the Commandos dress up as comic characters and ditch their traditional camouflage! All right, all right. Gnasher must have been the "schwienhund" they were always referring to. Same publisher you fools.2 points

If the home fans don't buy the tickets, then they surely can't have an issue if the club want to look at ways of maximising revenue. I'm certain that the club wouldn't even have thought about using the North Stand for away fans, but now that this has been suggested I wouldn't be surprised if they give it some consideration for next season. I can tell you for sure that they are disappointed with the uptake from the North Stand for the cup game, so this might be something to think about. At the end of the day if the stand is full of ICT fans there will be no room for 'away' fans2 points

Following on from what someone else was asking on another part of the site, it made me wonder about old posters on here. I seem to remember a guy called "Latviaman" who used to post regularly (he found Bulvitis for ICT as well! ). Any others?1 point

hello, walsall fan in peace, i was reading ssn transfer centre and you are close to signing Claude Gnakpa. Reading your rumour mill, your manager wants a player who can play in defence midfield and striker, Claude can definitely do all 3, he is preferable on the wing but has played at right back in his career and many walsall fans have wanted him to start upfront, he is good in the air and has pace when he wants to use it. The negative side to him is that he drifts from games and can get very frustrating watching him. But with the right service he can be a quality player http://www1.skysport...-capture-Gnakpa1 point

Now we have the Three Musketeers all we need is D'artagnan, perhaps our newly signed Richie fits the bill ? he sounds foran too ?1 point

Good news for ICT, it's all in the preview. Key player for us, when he contributes 100%, there is no way we are losing.1 point

We seem to be able to pick up 'unwanted players' and bring out the best in them. Excited about this signing. As Scotty said, since Butcher has tracked Gnasher for a while, I have a feeling he will be a good signing for us.1 point

aye, great logic it's entirely his fault that thier in the position thier in is it? They wouldn't have released him if they thought he was a valuable player who could help them avoid relegation. He was obviously unwanted there1 point

Les Fridge was worsse for us than Zibi. Zibi didn't really make any big errors with us. He did with Hibs tho and we should never have taken him. But Fridge?... And Tom Aldred. He'll not be in football for long I'd guess.1 point

I think, at some point, someone has to make a stand against this. As HD and others have said it does nothing to encourage punters through the gate, merely putting yet another obstacle in your way. The approach being suggested (why I support the position of the Celtic Trust or any other trust whose supporters are to be treated in this manner) is that it is not reflective of how we police our society. It may be argued with justification, that Celtic supporters are more likely to carry flares into a ground than others. This, however, surely only represents a miniscule proportion of their fans thereby not giving justification for the action. If this is to be replicated then, for example, Northern Constabulary may have statistics that would lead you to believe that more people are caught drunk driving leaving certain pubs in town than others. Because this gives cause for concern then, in tandem with the approach being used on Celtic supporters, the police should stop every car leaving these establishments at all times! This of course is nonsense but akin to the tactics being used and to which we should object. Just like drink driving where the police use intelligence, promoted the unacceptability of such behaviour and have the support of many in the community to deal with, those involved in policing/stewarding our game (and it still is our game) should engage with fans and gain theire trust. How many threads have we seen on CTO and other supporters forums that talk about the heavy handed nature of policing and stewarding? Some with merit, others with none. In a democratic society (and it is despite the 'there's no one for me to vote for' brigade) surely it's not too much to expect that the behaviour and needs of the vast (and it is hugely vast) majority are put before that of the idiots?1 point

Cox has only started 4 league games this season and is injured once more. Hasn't added much to our options anyway1 point

Todays Press and Journal suggesting the agreed fee is closer to £50k, all down to terms and whether Lee wants to move down I would like to see him stay, greatly improved player Given the fact we have alot of midfielders anyway and the fact Lee is getting a move fairly close to home i'd say it's a good deal all round. 50k is not a bad deal for a player with only 6 months remaining on his contract.1 point

Wayne Addicot. During the second half of a midweek game at Brechin produced the following encounter. Caldwell: 'Stay in the centre of the park!' Addicot then stood on the centre circle and when the ball trundled past him, he stood still and watched it go past! He was then subbed and left not long after that!1 point

The idea of Terrry Butcher and Paolo di Canio negotiatiing over the phone about Lee Cox appeals to me. I'd buy a ticket to lug into that conversation.1 point

I would rather have a bulky Cox than a wee Willie. Can just see the headline "Cox joins Dickhead".1 point
