On behalf of all Killie fans I'd just like to pass on our condolences to the family and friends of the poor ICT fan who tragically died yesterday. A similar incident occurred with a Killie fan a few years back at Tannadice and it's very distressing. Football really doesn't matter when a tragedy like this happens, best wishes to all. Well I finally got round to transferring some VHS stuff from the 90s onto the pc and then uploaded it to YouTube. The first 2 games on my CaleyClips channel are: Stenhousemuir 0-1 Caley Thistle, Scottish Cup Feb 1996. ICT 2-0 Ross County Nov 1996 (2nd game at the new stadium) A full 25 minutes of the Scottish Cup tie v Rangers at Tannadice in 1996 will hopefully be added soon! Enjoy it here.5 points

Seriously??? No doubt you'll pull the "Fishing Trip" excuse...whatever. It's one thing to disagree with a situation, event or the actions of another, but it's entirely something else when you set out to be deliberately obstructive or to undermine just for the hell of it. It might be some kind of game played out by your alter ego, but that alter ego has turned in to a complete pr*ck. The club did not have to make any further statement on the matter, there's press and website articles which already set out their position, but someone took a bit of time out to respond to the allegations being made to draw a line under a rumour that could have proved disruptive/upsetting to the player. For long enough the club have been criticised for not communicating and when they do they get met with the above tripe. The club might not be get everything right, but I can hand on heart say that they are trying more than they ever have. Not only that but there are people who work hard to defend the fans right to an opinion on club matters, whatever those matters or opinions may be. So not only does your nonsense serve as a slap in the face to those at the club who are working to improve communication and relations, it's a kick in the balls to those who take the time and make the effort to speak to the club and make case for the fans. It might have been a bad season on the park, but what disillusions me even more is this attitude by some that anything and everything that comes from the club should be derided. Granted, the club don't have a good history when it comes to honest communication, and the certainly don't get everything right, but there comes a time when everyone has to realise that you gain nothing when you're pulling in different directions. If the club can make the effort to try and change that, then surely it isn't too much to ask that we do the same. In fact I would go further than that, I would say it was VITAL that we all did our bit to put the nonsense of the past behind us, close the gap between the club and fans and get everyone pulling together. Scottish Football is falling down around our ears, and that's far more important than massaging ones own ego. For what it's worth, I don't doubt for one moment that CapitalCaley posted what he did believing it to be true...and I said that to the club when I was contacted this morning. R2D2, C3PO, Nanoo Nanoo Mork calling Orson or whatever other psychoanalytic pigeon hole you might choose to assign me to, fill your boots because I really don't give a toss.4 points

Glad to see the club have responded to this and I shall take their word on it. Particularly that they say that he is worth more to the club as a player. Maybe the 'truth' that I know of is in fact wrong. I think many folk are concerned with signings etc and when I was informed about this I felt the need to post about it as I am sure a lot of people are concerned about the direction we are going. Happy for a mod to either delete it or carry it on with the ICT statement. The ICT statement can draw a line unerneath this, and i'm happy to leave it at that in terms on talking about it on here / in public. I'm happy to send a quick email as well to the club and leave it at that. I too have come to the conclusion that the agent is stirring things up and I shall trust the club on this one. Edit: I deleted one of my other posts.3 points

As it happens defeat was the last thing on our minds on the long journey home.A very very sad day for ICT fans .Heartfelt condolences to the family of the gentleman who did turn up to support his team but sadly didnt return home. I would like to mention all our young fans who were very brave and dignified during the horrifiic scene unfolding in front of them.3 points

Ok, I did say I will draw a line under the matter etc etc. I will go on what the club have said over rulling what I have been told and let that be an end to it. i did not expect the club to respond so quickly (and that's a credit to them) and so I echoe what CaleyD said: "It's one thing to disagree with a situation, event or the actions of another, but it's entirely something else when you set out to be deliberately obstructive or to undermine just for the hell of it." I have posted what I have believed to be true and untill the club responded I felt quite pi55ed off as it's yet again another incident that i really disagree with at the club. HOWEVER, the fact is the club have responded. I like their response and for me it effectively kills the debate so there's no need for further debate - not from me anyway. I'm happy that they have responded. Johndo - I do see it slightly differently in that I think it's good that the the club are happy to make statments / interact and listen to fans. And I won't be saying names - especially over a forum! So I really have nothing further I can add to it.2 points

Gavin Morrison is off to Iceland on a 4 month contract! Yay All hail Terry Butcher! Forward thinking there! But, no. Gavin is off to Iceland for 4 months with 1 year left on his contract. The next 4 months will save money on his wage and the hope is he will be signed by a first division or an Icelandic club in the summer. There's no long term player development. It's all done to make sure he signs for someone else. The plan from the management is that he will never wear a Caley Thistle top again. I'm not one to make things up, but this is the truth. I'm fed up with everything that's happening and i'm fed up with the way the club is heading.1 point

It may have been mentioned before but there was an article in the paper about the Caley Thistle team on Saturday and how the none of the starting 11 were Scottish. Pretty embarrassing really. All the way through the divisions and up until not long ago we had a team that was almost exclusively Scottish with the odd foreigner here and there. Is this a reason why there is no fight in the team, with some players only on loan as well. People will say that all footballers are mercenaries but if you look at Tokely after a defeat he walks straight off the park raging, it actually really matters to him. We need more players like that who actually care whether we win or lose. Yes if we were winning it wouldn't be a problem but we aren't. I would rather support a Caley Thistle team with local or Scottish players who care a little than a team full of half bit foreigners.1 point

If we signed Ian Black back I would renew my season ticket right now. We have no one of his creative ability in the middle of the park. I'd love to see him back.1 point

Best wishes for the young man and I look forward to him coming back with a head full of new training methods and fresh ideas that will hold him in good stead. Ps remember to take an eye mask as it will be 24h daylight.1 point

There's definatly a good relationship between butcher and black tend to see them having a bit of a laugh whenever their together. I can see this summer being a raid of the spl by the likes of Bristol city. So wouldn't be surprised if they made an offer, but would love him back.1 point

Woops. Started effectively the same thread in the ICT section lol I need to refresh my page more often!1 point

STV have just announced via twitter than Ian Black will be released by Hearts at the end of the season. I'd imagine that many clubs will be interested. If Butcher took an interest in him again, would you like to see him back in a Caley Thistle top? My answer is yes.1 point

Having watched the highlights it seems like we were a chunk of woodwork away from scoring some rather spectacular goals. Not entirely convinced about the penalty shout or Jonny's first yellow but whats done is done. Grabbing 2 goals can only put confidence in young Billy. And Foran actually seemed productive in the second striker role. I sincerely hope they build on this performance though we have failed to do that at all during the season but there were alot of positives to take from that performance. Think Golobart should go back into the starting 11. Williams and Tokely are good but are both a bit slow and maybe arent the best pairing when it comes to chasing players. Golobart is a bit quicker.1 point

The club have been in touch with me this morning and asked that I post the following on their behalf.... Capital Caley: We are not sure what his source of information is or the reasons behind his post on Gavin are, but the facts are as follows: No fees are involved, the club (ICTFC) are paying his wage, so we are "not saving money". It is certainly not about money and we see this as an investment in his future and an opportunity to broaden his experience. The reason he has been given this opportunity is exactly as the manager stated to allow him to get that experience. The manager (as stated in the press last week) thinks Gavin has a big future (with our club) but requires to get games under his belt. He is not out in Iceland so we can sell him on, he is worth more to the club as a player than any compensation/ development fees we would ever get at this stage of his career. As stated above he needs competitive games and the Icelandic opportunity came up and suits all parties including Gavin who jumped at the chance. If Capital Caley wants to pop in to the stadium for a chat on this please feel free to do so.1 point

Really sorry for the supporter and his family. Terrible day.. Really puts the game into perspective. I thought we played well and should have been 3,4,5 -1 up untill Jonny got sent off. We played great football but untill we went down to ten men we were fantastic. After that, Killie attacked and attacked and the inevitable happened. None of that matters any more though.1 point

Not knowing much about football, but understanding a little of finances to the extent that I know that spending money on something which I thought was a good idea at the time, because theoretically it was a sensible buy because the company which produced it was a well-known company, is money wasted if the buy turns out to be faulty and rarely, if ever gets used. Wasn't Gary Mackay-Steven released by Liverpool as a much as a result of an injury plagued season as anything else? Wasn't the reason he was back home for seven months in 2010 without a team because he was still suffering the effects of the hip stress fracture? Didn't he get an Achilles injury in the warm-up for the Forres Game pre-season 2010/2011 when he was on trial? Didn't he say himself that I got an injury and never really recovered from it. when on trial? Wasn't he offered a pay as you play deal, in order to allow him to prove his fitness? Was he not more keen to sign for a part-time Division 2 team on a contract than chance that he would be able to play to get paid for ICT? Hindsight gives 20/20 vision....and, with hindsight, Mackay-Stevens was a chance missed...but how could he have fared between pre-season 2010/2011 season and the January transfer period if we did not have hindsight to tell us? Fit to play? maybe.....earning a wage while not fit to play? Possibly. Given the way some posters on here react to everything, if he had been signed when injured......and then played as little as those who have been signed uninjured and sustained injuries later have.......guess who would be getting given the pelters for wasting the money which could have paid the salary of somebody fit? Tudur-Jones didn't have a much better injury record...but at least he manged to last the trial period and a game or two as a player to show his credentials. One single trial game, however good, is not a basis for a short term contract, far less anything more.1 point

As a Killie fan please accept my deepest sympathy to the Caley fan who sadly passed away at Rugby Park today, the game and result are irrelevant when things like this happen1 point

Yawwwn Let's be honest here and this is not exclusively your problem you and the rest of the happy clappers are fantasists not realists like myself I've been called a County fan, an Orc fan etc etc on numerous occasions but it's like water of a ducks back I am ICT although seriously disgruntled and I like many others will be limiting my games next season as the football served up is Pish ICT are presently not going in the right direction only a bampot would argue otherwise Dougal Dougal, you make some valid points but then you spoil them. The fantasist thinks ICT have a god given right to be in the top half of the league with a team of stars. The realist thinks we are doing very well, with our financial handicap, to still be in the league. ICT, like St Mirren, Aberdeen, Killie, Hibs, St Johnstone etc will always be fighting to stay up first and foremost. The rest will be a bonus. Thats the view of a realist.1 point

Joking aside - surely this statistic must sadden most supporters. One of the main things that i was looking for this season was experimentation which was to blood the yoof and give the more locally produced players. TB appears to have tried to go fer "experience", mercenaries, loanees and club hoppers - and that has clearly not worked. I would rather have got beat, trying to play football, watching the likes of the Shinnies, Morrison, Ross, Sutherland plus - to me the biggest boo boo of the lot - McKay-Steven.1 point
