I was one who received the complementary ticket but i still didnt attend this weekend. I am a football fanatic and been a life long man utd supporter as i grew up in the north west of England. I moved north in 2001 and watched Caley Thistle even from the long trip that was caithness. I got a season ticket when we got promoted for couple of reasons 1) i Love football and Caley was were me and my dad went before i got a season ticket and 2) it was my most local professional side (County dont count haha). In 2008 i left caithness and moved to stirling for study and really should have ended the season ticket with the cost of travel plus the incentive of away games. I didnt i stayed and kept my season ticket until this season when i have moved back to England making it impossible for me to attend each week but if i was still up north i can guarantee i would have renewed. I never got in touch to tell the club to demote rangers and never promised anything but again if i was north i wouldnt have had a second thought but to renew. Last season was dire but supporting a smaller club you cannot expect it to be great all the time. I fell in love with Inverness Caley Thistle and i still hope to make a few games this season even from England and i understand people about the money side but the football, please, it was mince but if you love the club and want to make sure it survives then i think not renewing because of the standard is a poor excuse and i am english and seen some of the most embarrassing international football performances haha. The whole spl is poor which has made every club poor even the old firm so lets all get behind the club and the unsong heros in the background who are trying to increase the exposure of the club to the inverness public3 points

Well i aired my views about the Olympics before hand being a huge expense at the hands of the tax-payers and a London-centric waste of money however I am the first one to admit that I was wrong and I quickly succumbed to the allure of the games. I pretty quickly found myself becoming more and more drawn to watching events and indeed willing each and every British athlete on. By the end of the games i couldnt get enough and was indeed disappointed when it all ended on Sunday. Thoroughly enjoyed the games and was indeed a breath of fresh air to see athletes competing for pride, honour and patriotism rather than the greed and dishonesty that accompanies our nations favourite sport football. Suprisingly football despite being one of my favourite sports to watch was the one i watched least of at the Olympics Obviously delighted at how well the Scots did at the games too Its certainly made me reconsider my opinions to events like this and the commonwealth games in glasgow is a much more appealing propspect to me now2 points

Whatever people's view on CL picking Black the amount of booing from the tartan army was pathetic. It's not the players fault and to hear that on your (full) international debut is awful imo. Great result though.1 point

Totally agree with your last paragraph. Nobody can ever "guarantee" entertainment at a football match but as long as the team shows desire, commitment and passion on the pitch, then they will get my support. Speaking to some Aberdeen supporters after the RC game, they said there was precious little entertainment from both sides yet the fans backed their respective teams to the hilt during the game.1 point

Callieanne, Hayes has been replaced by Connor Pepper, a youngster with potential and ability. In other words, exactly what Hayes was when he arrived here. Like for like. Tade was unproven at SPL level (some would say he still is) and replaced by Oswell. Again similar in terms of potential and hopefully with a bit more in the way of loyalty. On the other topic, it is your absolute right to stay away and not buy the "product" if you feel it's not for you. Where and what you spend your money on is your business. The only disagreement that I would have is that it is too early in the season (for me) to make a judgement and I think there are already signs that things might improve this year. I'm sorry that you feel castigated for expressing your opinion, and although I can't agree with IHE and Gringo Jnr's response I hope that you continue to look on and be persuaded to return. I for one in the Caley Jags Together camp would be happy to welcome you back.1 point

To put some perspective on it finances wise looking at the figures if we (an SPL club) have sold say 2,000 STs at £300 that gives us £600k. The Rangers (a 3rd division club) have according to my bluenose workmate sold around 35,000 at say £250 so far giving them over £8.75mil. That gives them over 14 times our budget based on STs alone. To say nothing for the £250k deficit we already run at. I know it would be great to have bought in another Hayes and a proven striker but we have no money for this. All I hope that the team does it's best and shows desire, determination and passion on the pitch. If I feel the team has played to its potential and still lost you'll get no complaints from me. Of course if the team doesn't do that is a different matter. Clearly there are other issues within the managers control such as team selection, positions, tactics, subs etc and if folk think these are wrong fair dos, I often disagree with TB too and some of his decisions can be downright baffling. However the way some folk go on they'll no be happy unless we play in a manner that is a cross between Dutch total football, 70s Brazil and the current Spanish team. Hopefully our threadbare squad will come good and do us proud, but to write them off after one home game is very premature. Actually for some strange reason I,m more optimistic about this season than last.1 point

Dinna fret CallieAnne - the castigators are the ones who usually whinge about being castigated. It is what is known as "projection" as they are merely projecting their own anger and frustrations on to you. From a psychological perspective this may be of assistance in understanding the "attacks" that you have experienced: Projections protect us by keeping a lid on the terror that knowledge of our negative qualities might provoke. You project your own guilt and anger on to others when you judge and label the other person¹s actions instead of just observing or witnessing them. Carl Jung believed that the projection defense functions like a mirror between the ego and the unconsciousness personality. The negative characteristic that has been disowned which has been tying up psychic energy in the ego will be reflected in the person¹s daily experience Alternatively just tell them to feck aff and use appropriately stirring smileys1 point

I'm a federalist. Why should Brussels control the UK? Why should London control Scotland? Why should Edinburgh control the Highlands? A: when it's suitable. Power concentrated at the most appropriate local level. So, no to an independent Scotland but yes to max-devo for every country and county in the UK. Try living abroad (not other parts of the UK but Africa, South America and the like) and you might realise that Britain has a lot going for it.1 point

I'm getting a tad disgruntled at the continual inference by the separtist movement that by being pro British I am in some way Anti-Scottish, the two are not mutually exclusive. I am patriotic to both causes ,and am confident Scotland could ,if required to do so, stand on it's own 2 feet and do OK, but I don't for one minute believe there is any advantage to be gained in separation from the mutually beneficial union.1 point

Luke, having been a season ticket holder for the last 10 years or more, I feel entitled to moan about the product, and then exercise our right not to continue with the season tickets. However we are not blinded by what is on display unlike some, and the very recent and rapid decline in quality. I couldn't agree more though that Rangers are to blame for everything. Did they not back Hitler, Idi Amin and Bin Laden. Push them right out of football altogether that will cure everything. Oh boy. Keep taking the tablets.1 point

Lack of competition, ability of the OF to hoover up talent from other clubs, little chance of silverware, one (or two, depending on the year) spending millions whilst everyone else has to rely on free transfers, unable to hold on to youngsters at a couple of grand a week, whilst other clubs pay tens of thousands. All solved by equitable distribution. Clubs, with added finance, hold on to their McGuire's, Allan's and Fyvie's. The OF compete with the rest of the SPL for players, instead of the EPL by losing their cash to other clubs. The Aberdeens, Dundee Uniteds and Hearts have a chance of winning the league. The SPL gets exciting and young players stay. Equitable distribution. That's the key.1 point

It's not the standard of football that's anything to do with it, big deal Scottish football isn't as good as it was once upon a sun, it's not the standard that doesn't get people in the gates it's the lack of competition in the game in scotland that's driven people away from games in Scotland for years. This will change with rangers out imo. Don't moan about the product when you don't show up to watch it.1 point

We asked for on the deck football. Cast your minds back to the last 2 games of last season. Midden away and Hibs at home. We played it on the deck and won both games. We asked for a steady back line. It's early days but the back line looks good. We asked for more local / north lads. Take a look at the squad. Back to the on the deck play - During pre-season we played it on the deck. The Coventry game was highly entertaining. The Midden game on the first game of the season was excellent. End to end stuff from both teams and no hoof in sight. First 20 minutes was spectacular against Kille. After that, we didn't play well but we still tried to keep it on the deck and that's us unbeaten in the league in a few games. We have some entertaining players especially in midfield - Doran and Shinnie to name just two. We have exciting prospects such as Pepper and Oswell. I can see a greater team spirit than this time last year. Maybe i've been listening to Luke too much but I am excited about the rest of the season.1 point

I despair, I really do, we don't need opposition fans, our own will do the same job. Two games in and the reasons for not going along are getting aired. WTF, County have scored no goals, so what? I ngo along because I support the team. The style of play is just a sideshow.1 point

Stuff like that really annoys me - in general. People will turn up for the "Big" games vs Celtic and we won't see them till the 6th of October when C*unty come to play. I don't understand how people won't even bother about the small teams when there is a great chance of winning three points. Last saturday vs Killie was a good opportunity to get a good support and rally round the team and it didn't happen. I can live with excuses of work or live too far from Inverness but not for football reasons.1 point

Maime, I assume you're talking about a blank CD that you've created? As it's not an authorised disk it wouldn't be recognizable for the internet to check and name them. Unfortunately, you're going to have to manually name them. (Right click on the song>Get Info>Info Tab) If it's an actual CD you bought in a shop, then I am not too sure why it wouldn't get the information. Hope this helps anyways1 point
