  1. OMG can people read this very very long thread before posting stuff that has already been covered many times. It clearly states that this ban was for the next Scottish League Cup game, if it was transferable (which I don't believe it was) it was never served, so that point isn't valid. It will be interesting to hear the formal response the club receive. I don't think it will change the outcome, but I do think someone has to hold their hands up and admit a mistake somewhere along the line. Hearts and Danny Wilson would both have known about the outstanding suspension but checked with the SFA and IMHO were given wrong information. The information did not have to show on his transfer paperwork as it was over a season old and was not applicable to his time in England. You have to check the disciplinary records to look for suspensions and my guess is that this is the bit where an admin error occurred. Ultimately the responsibility lies with the club to ensure no suspensions and Hearts can defend themselves because they asked the SFA for clarification and were told he could play. That's a brief summary through my eyes. I don't have the time or inclination to spend the hours that many have done doing the research on this but the above is kind of the highlights from those posts

  3. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/documents/Disciplinary/CurrentSuspensions/Season2009/10/May2010/PlayerSuspensions/LOS45(27May).pdf In the above link go to page 5. This shows that on the 27th May 2010 the SFA recognised that Daniel Wilson had a one match suspension to serve in the League Cup. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/documents/Disciplinary/CurrentSuspensions/Season2010/11/July2010/PlayerSuspensions/LOS01(23-JUL).pdf The next link is from the 23rd July 2010 in which going to page 4, Daniel Wilson no longer appears to be banned for one match in this competition by the SFA. Therefore the SFA have recognised by the 23rd July 2010 that his ban has been served. Today they have stated that it was served in a Liverpool v Arsenal tie on the 14th August of the same year, how can this possibly be the case then if they had already removed the ban prior to this date?! This is not any paper or press talk, these links are taken from the SFA's own website. They now have another question to answer to; I hope the club are seeing this and taking note.

  5. Yes, he's apparently been in England, which means he plays when he wants.

  6. If we've signed him, then I imagine he'll be playing for our side!!!!

  7. This is not finished as DD said. How can it be competition specific but suspension took place in another country? Why didn‘t they mention the Arsenal game originally? If he was suspended for that game why did they need to ask before our game? Know one can find any record of him being suspended for that game. In fact the Guardian lists no suspensions for that game. We cannot let this go until we get the truth. All I want is an honest answer. We wont get a replay out of it but we deserve the truth.

  8. Right, let's put it in perspective, it was a big disappointment to miss out on a Hampden awayday but it was just the League cup after all and we've got the 'proper' cup still to look forward to. And despite all the woe at Easter Road, everything else at the weekend was going in our favour with all the games ending in draws! We still have clear blue water between us and 4th place and now have 2 games in hand on Hibs, Aberdeen and United A win on Wednesday at Paisley sets us up very nicely so let's ditch the negative vibes and get back to being all happy, smiley and proud.

  9. Hey look, rules in the Scottish League Constitution: http://www.scottishfootballleague.com/docs/009__034__constitution__rules__SFL_Constitution__Rules__1346425915.pdf 123.2.10 During the period of the temporary transfer, the player will not participate in either the Scottish Football League Cup Competition, Scottish Football League Challenge Competition or the Scottish Football Association Challenge Cup Competition, without the prior written consent of the lending club. Where is the prior written consent from Liverpool? I want to see it. Just kidding Jambos, you won!

  10. There is a pretty good explanation here guys... http://scottishleague.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&p=21518 and I am sold. I think it is time to put this to rest like the club has done so. The Scottish Cup Final is only 270 minutes away

  11. BM missed, maybe got a bit caught in the headlights realising what was at stake, but he has proven this season to be a goalscorer and has contributed some important goals elsewhere. Personally I don't think having a thread discussing how bad his miss is will be particularly helpful to his confidence. If I was a player at any club then I would view fans forums for my team and see what thoughts are regularly and if none of them do I'd be surprised - for that reason lets not be so critical, he will know himself what a chance he had to be a hero!!!

  14. Taken from the official SFL League Cup rules (apologies if this has already been posted) - Says clearly that is the team's responsibility to make every possible assessment as to whether or not their players are eligible and says that an offending team may be disqualified. There's no way we can let this lie.

  15. Highlight for me at Easter Road (despite the agony of losing) had to be the wee guy in our end with the Hibs scarf supporting our team. I now find myself starting to like Hibs! As for our boys in blue - you've all given us a fabulous season so far and we still have hope in both the Scottish Cup and League. You've all done us proud - TB, Mo and all our lads. So chin up please. Saturday is water under the Kessock Bridge. There are bigger prizes ahead of us to be won!!!

  16. Even if nothing eventually come of this then surely the posters on that Hibs.net forum should be thanked for trying at least.

  17. Come on lads, This is what we wanted publicity on the story, if fans from other clubs want to side with us it is all to the good. Dont kill the goose that layed the golden egg. 18. Living in Edinburgh your going to be subjected to the Hibs / Hearts banter/chat, difficult to get away from. I can see where you are coming from but surly you can understand why this would be well publicised and discussed on Hibs forums? Lets be honest its potentially a big deal, and to think Hearts could be punished as a result makes it a big deal. Obviously I wouldnt think it would be as discussed had it not been our rivals. I totally agree you are within your rights to follow this up, get the clarity on it and move on, regardless of the outcome. I feel ICT have conducted themselves with alot of dignity on this matter so far, if it had been certain other clubs im not suire it would have been dealt with in the mannor ICT have so far. The sad thing is I wouldnt be surprised if the SFA try to sweep it under the carpet and pan you guys of with some excuse and apology. After all our powers at be have a habit of making a balls of things so its anyones guess what will happen if indeed he was ineligable. I wish you guys all the best whatever the outcome (just stop churning out so many good results and let us overtake you ) http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/r/rangers/8580683.stm

  19. The fault is definitely north of the border as far as I am concerned ..... The International Transfer certificate, amongst other contract and eligibility related stuff, confirms that he is not currently serving a ban, or due to serve one from the English FA that would be applicable internationally ... ie. there is no impending ban in England. It has sweet (S)FA to do with any disciplinary issues in Scotland. The ITC should be consolidated with any paperwork that was in existence when he left Scotland to give a full picture ... ie. no ban from England, but an outstanding League cup ban from Scotland, ergo, a one match ban to be served. Putting the conspiracy hat on, I suggest Hearts knew he was banned, possibly because the player asked, and they asked the question, but after getting the all-clear from an inept bureaucrat (are there any other types in the offices in Glasgow?) decided to play him anyway ..... a risk they decided to take ..... and a consequence now up in the air unless there is a truthful explanation of why he was allowed to play

  20. Right, that's it I demand an answer... We as decent fans deserve to know... This is a question can which quite simply can no longer be dismissed... It's about someone from the SFA made a statement, somebody there MUST know... "Who put the 'O' and the 'Y' in county???"

  21. Yes i‘m sure it was an error. But the error was noticed BEFORE the game and the SFA alledgedly told Hearts to play him anyway. That‘s what annoys me. If it was an oversight noticed after the match then I wouldn‘t be bothered. The transfer embargo gets lifted, they sign 2 Premiership players, one which in ineligible for the game. They speak to the SFA who know fine well that the rules state he should be suspended, but can‘t find it in their paperwork. Meanwhile clubs like Caley Thistle run things with such a tight budget but have to suffer because of the error.... that was found BEFORE the game - according to STV article.

  22. In the unlikely event that we were to get any sort of second chance out of this, I wouldn't feel at all guilty about us benefiting from an admin oversight on this particular occasion because Hearts, on the point of going bust and unable to pay wages, suddenly bring in millions of pounds worth of talent from Liverpool days before this big game. And as it turned out, Wilson and Ngoo were probably their best players. I know Hearts haven't broken any rules in bringing them in, in the same way that Starbucks, Amazon etc haven't broken any rules by not paying any UK tax. It just doesn't feel right.
