Sunday sees the final game of Caley Thistle’s best ever season, and if you don’t know where it is or what’s at stake you must have been in the space station with that Canadian chap. Tickets for our end are selling like hot cakes as you would imagine, people are buzzing and the game is being broadcast on Sky. It’s as high as profile gets in Scotland. We are on course for Europe with a win, so please wear your holiday costumes. Anyone who has a sombrero please feel free to dig it out of the cupboard and wear the thing. There will be inflatables and beach balls for all. If we don’t qualify we will be disappointed but we can still celebrate our most successful season ever. Of course having a party doesn’t imply going daft. Please - no pyrotechnics, no chanting about you know what’s and please try not to lob either yourself or anything else on the pitch whilst people are running about on it. And no streaking for God’s sake - it's only May. The Council have decided that no licenced premises will be open in Dingwall before the game, so if you are there early (especially off the train) please respect the locals and the fact that their places of worship will be open before ours is. At least the Caley Club in Greig Street will be open after the game and there will be a ceilidh band playing - Full Tilt Brian tells me, and hopefully it sounds like grounds for celebration. Brian also tells me that bus tickets are on sale at the Caley Club on Saturday between 2 and 3 - get down there and buy them so you won't be disappointed. I know that, banter aside, our rivals will wish us all the best if we qualify for Europe on Sunday and I’ll take this opportunity to congratulate them on a magnificent first SPL season. Both sides will have a support that does the Highlands proud on Sunday, we’re sure of that. The nation will be watching, so let's show them how to have a good time. If sales carry on as they have been we should sell out before close of business tomorrow. This would mean that there would be no tickets available on Sunday. Don't leave it to chance, down to the last 100 tickets, so pop down tomorrow. The stadium is not open on Saturday so tomorrow is probably your last chance to get your tickets.4 points

As for the last 20 years it really has been a dream, loads of highs and lows but thats football, some clubs have shot up through the leagues and where are they now, overspent and bust, to be sitting in 3rd place going in to the last game of the season in the SPL, well I have to pinch myself sometimes, party mode in Dingwall regardless of the result, knowing we have knocked our rivals out of a cup and will still finish higher than the shadows icing on the cake, theres a lot of pressure on County just now as they feel they must win just to give something back to their fans and now its a two horse race for that final Euro spot Cant wait for Sunday, I haven't been posting much of late as have been so busy but it has been a Terry-ific season and Sunday could be a Mo-mentus occasion. Well done to all the staff, players, management, guardians of the club and fans from merger to present date as we wouldnt be where we are now without your help.4 points

Noticed Graham Carey is being released by St Mirren, not sure why he's always looked a really good player, can play midfield and left back and has a knack for screamers, might well be worth a punt.1 point

Without Brittain they will be exposed as average. Come 2.30pm on Sun we WILL be in Europe next year. In Butcher I believe!!!!1 point

Looks like Reguero might learn pretty quickly that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Look at Tuffey, he moved away for first team football and has barely featured at all, think he has played two first team games this season1 point

I for one when i was a young Caledonian FC supporter had 3 wishes before i died. 1. Join the Scottish League 2. Make it to the SPL or Premier League in those days. 3. Play in Europe. Happy to have lived to see the first 2 of those and unless I die before Sunday, I will hopefully see the last one fulfilled. 20 years ago i gave a "F**k about the 'M' thing but Sundays game/result is bigger that all that BS! So Dougal; while you sit and kneel before your poster of Telford Street every morning; for once dude get with the rest of us and "Believe" And for the record I thought Banner's book was a jolly good read!1 point

Matthew 8:26 And his supporters came to him, and awoke him, saying, Butcher, save us: we perish. And he said to them, Why are you fearful, O you of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm over the beach of Dingwall. But the supporters marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him! Later that day a great shadowy seethe decended over the Isle of Black and a great euphoria lit up the Moray Firth skyline south of this dark land.1 point

That puts a smile on my face for the rest of the morning .... think Adams should do one of those daily diary things where you tear off the next page and get a quote of the day...... sell it at Christmas and call it "Seethings Greetings" with both words also being individually appropriate !!! "...We are one of the best teams in the SPL this season" "We are Ross County football club, we are a wee team from the north..."1 point

I always thought Dougals glass was half empty but no he hasn't got a glass he uses a sieve1 point

Nah qualifying for Europe would be a progressive step for the club and I would see that as a positive to be honest As ive stated on another thread my only worries would be getting a bad humping by a club from Ireland or some other diddy country which could do more damage than good for the long season ahead when expectations are now higher than they ever were before due to this seasons success It all depends on the draw, realistically we are looking at only one tie, I can't see many travelling to some hovel in Albania or Kazackstan can you? Dougal Dougal, are we not seen by many as a diddy country? If we do get beat by one of those teams you suggest then so be it. The joy in this achievement isn't the winning or losing its getting there. Getting there as the third best team in Scotland. I wouldnt think many would expect us to go past the round we're drawn in. Thats not a reflection on ICT but more on the quality and standard of football in this country. We are ranked 78 in the world just now. In 2007 we were 14. Ireland are 39, Albania 43 That shows how far our standard has dropped in the last few years. I'd say to anyone.........enjoy the moment. It may never happen again. Teams bigger than us have fallen at the first hurdle so be proud to just be there.1 point

Can't rely on Motherwell we need to do the business ourselves in Dingwall next week and the players need to regroup and atone for yesterday's disappointing performance. Ross County can no longer qualify for Europe themselves but will still be highly motivated to rain on our parade. Maybe it's umbrellas we should take to Dingwall rather than beach balls and sombreros.1 point

Great news, never bothered with a ST before, but after going to 10 home games this season its probably just a beneficial for me to get one for next year - especially if the price is frozen :)1 point
