  1. I don't blame anyone for wanting to go, let's not lie.. there's many and far better things on offer than what we can provide. Clubs with bigger fanbases, better training facilities, more money, better location.. a Nandos - and so on. Inverness and our club are hardly the greatest treasure but we work with all we have. However, folk like Tansey and anyone else who's signed new contracts fairly recently, I appreciate greatly for choosing to stay where they are, immense dedication to our cause We know fine well we are always going to be in a hard place but slowly we're doing things to improve and get by. Especially managing to get into a scheme of offering contracts longer than a year has been a massive thing. And I don;t think for a second if they havn't been offered a contract as of yet then they won't at all. It's business and I'm positive there's a lot more thought into it than some people may or may not think, just slapping a salary on paper and wanting a 'Yay or Nae' Immense admiration though for most players, coming here in the first place and even more so if they choose to continue.

Should Nick Ross leave he'll always be a favourite/cult figure due to that late late late last minute equaliser at Hearts in the cup! Please excuse me now... I'm moist just thinking about that goal!
  3. A huge incentive to win on the Rugby Park plastic on Saturday with Dundee United and Hamilton not playing each other until Monday a victory would guarantee third place on Saturday evening with at least fourth by Monday. It would also give us a 14 point margin over seventh place and virtually guarantee top six for a third consecutive season.

Shame really, he would run dream rings around most SPL defenders.
  5. David Raven has more than earned a new deal and hopefully he isn't being forgotten about in the pursuit of tying others down on new deals.
  6. The 'laughable' Alex Neil will be doing some laughing of his own after quadrupling his salary at Norwich! John Hughes has been in the Inverness job for little over a year, but is now 6th longest serving in the Premiership and 16th longest of the 42 managers in the SPFL! I never said he was a bad manager. But he is a total ungracious ****. He reminds me of Derek adams

I'd have to go with Markus Paatelainen though.. May just have been me that liked him mind.

However his time at Farnborough in the Conference South appeared to give him the cult status elsewhere after 35 goals in 50 games: http://forum.soccermanager.com/showthread.php?t=67098 He even managed a trial at Swansea and was on Celtic's radar at one stage.. Supposedly: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/swansea_city/8791273.stm I certainly recall the Dean Mcdonald cult status being particularly strong in the west stand (singing section) against Arbroath in the cup.
  9. Just a thought, what about trying to get Stuart Cosgrove to advertise it on off the ball or the Radio Scotland programme at 6.15.He has lamented the lack of saints fans often enough.

Think that he is working with his brother Harry.
  12. Yogi wants players with leadership qualities all over the park...so wouldn't associate him highlighting that quality in a player as necessarily meaning he views them as a potential team captain.
  13. The top-flight, in its current format (12 teams) is now in its 15th season. Possibly enough to use average points as a guide to final finishing places? Not just for us obviously, but for any club. As these are averages, it could a guide to where a club is likely to finish if they maintain their current ratio. Yes, I admit it's a rough guide - and flawed by the split (shown by the best-of-the-rest 7th placed average tally being higher than the average for 6th) but it's an interesting table. Our 38 points from 20 games is a fantastic return of 1.9 points per game. Our best ever ratio of 1.53 would 'ordinarily' be sufficient for 4th place but 'only' secured 5th - and our worst (0.97 points) was worthy of 11th, rather than relegation. If we maintained our current 1.9 ratio - on average, we could expect to finish 3rd (72pts), although the vagaries of the league demonstrate that it could be good enough for runner-up, but also 4th! The shaded blue areas on the graph are what we've already surpassed in this campaign. Just a bit of fun - let's hope I'm not tempting fate!
