  1. I had another of my "playing for ICT" dreams last night. This time it was the cup final. An area of the Hampden pitch was cordoned off to let the grass grow and they forgot to remove the cordon before kick-off, so the ref asked the players to keep the ball away from that area as she didn't know what to do if the ball went in. We made a great start, and a Devine header crashed off the bar back onto his head for him to nod in, 1-0. Then a superb break from David Bingham (!) resulted in a shot and save, the ball rolled to me for an easy tap in and my place in history, but Barry Wilson nipped in front of me to slam it home and take the glory. 2-0 after 22 minutes, and then I woke up.
  2. The dream tells me that you like ICT fc. Also that in life you see obstacles in your way, others are taking the credit for your work and you preferred it like it used to be. Lol
  3. To play Devil's Advocate a wee bit here, do we *need* a new left-back? We have Tremarco but I was looking at a Chester forum the other week and their comments seem to suggest that Danny Williams is actually naturally a full-back as well. I seem to remember much the same being reported when he signed. Also, he did play there last season in one game and from my recollection had a very good game indeed. Could he be the rampaging wing-back to replace Shinnie? I think he could be you know.
  4. someone on P&B said they bought a ticket in the south today and saw the computer of our sales. The north is sold and done as is F1-F3 while F4-F6 have some single seats left while F7 has rows atm. The south stand see's I5 and I4 completely sold with over half of I3 sold and tickets being sold in I2. No overall number but if that is all accurate then it looks likewe are comfortably over 10,000 and with a week to go if we could finish the south and maybe get a couple of G then we could be looking in the region of around 15,000 which would be great
  5. I'd give Meekings and hour then sub him when he's at the furthest part of the pitch from the dugout. A nice long slow walk should get 30,000 veins bulging. No point 'protecting' him from the bile, he'll get it all next season - that lot bear a grudge like a crown.
  6. Treble Party Poopers Cup finaIists Inverness have an invite to the Champions party this Sunday as we take on treble double winners Celtic at Parkhead. We might not be the most popular of guests having thwarted the Hoops in their bid for the treble. It's been a fabulous season for Inverness with lots of firsts achieved this season. Qualification for the Europa league, Scottish Cup final, highest points tally in Premier League, Manager of the Year for Yogi and Young Player of the Year for Ryan Christie. There are many more trotted out on CTO, but these are massive, and just reward for everybody concerned with Inverness Caledonian Thistle from the tea lady to the Chairman, the Twitter Account to the Facebook page, the youths who paraded their trophy at the Dundee United game and to all the players who pulled on the shirt this season. I nearly forgot the most important ones, and that's the fans who have followed our team through thick and thin. Yes, there were plenty of concerned punters when John Hughes took over as Caley Jags boss, but I'll tell you what, he has had worse seasons. Massive credit to Yogi and Russell Latapy for changing the way we played our football and winning over the fans. And it's wonderful to see our manager and our players get the recognition they deserve from their peers and the people who write about our national sport. On to the task in hand and it's always a troublesome trip to Parkhead on the day the Celts are parading their trophies. The party atmosphere always inspires them to greater things and many a side have been routed on this day. The bonus for us is that while it would be nice to engage them competitively, It is neither here nor there what the result is on the day as we have bigger fish to fry the weekend after. With that in mind, I would expect Hughes to change his side to remain competitive, but to protect his stars from any damage. Team news this week is not worth the paper it's not written on. We all know that Richie Foran and Dean Brill are out, but that's the only thing we can guarantee. My best guess is that Yogi will alter the structure of his team to ensure that he can maximise his options next week. Celtic, well they are out to celebrate and it matters not a jot who they put out against us, cos we are playing next week and you're not. Apologies to anyone that is looking for some clarification on team selections, but next week is our time. tm4tj prediction:- I reckon we will get pumped. Am I bothered. No, roll on the Scottish Cup Final.
  7. Bus 2 calling in at St J so a pint guaranteed!!!
  8. I don't even care about the attendance on the day. If I'm there cheering on my team, am happy. Bring it on home #ICTFC
  9. it was a replica. likely the replica that will be presented to the winners later .... the real one never leaves Hampden
  10. As I point out every time this subject comes up. The club have never (to my recollection) issued advance ticket sales figures...be they good, bad or indifferent. People can agree or disagree with that policy, but it's clearly not one driven by the actual sales figure....whatever it be. FWIW, I'd do away with all publication of match attendance figures as it only serves to fuel the unhealthy obsession people have with them in this country. It must be the single most analysed "stat" in football....and it has least relevance to the actual game.
  11. As long as it wasn't Esson who dropped it.
  12. SFA have sold about 300 of the 750 tickets available for the Switzerland section. We're now selling F7 in the East Stand and there's not too many left in the South Stand. Think if we sell all the seats in the sections we're currently selling there will be about 13k of us there. With Falkirk's 18k and all the comps we'll be close on 40k total. As someone said earlier, that's no bad for a game between ICT and Falkirk.
  13. ICT u13 youth in action at Highland Football Academy Saturday, playing RC, Orkney, Shetland, Alness, Elgin, Western Isles from 10am to 4pm HIFF 7 2015.pdf
  14. Personally a red and black stripe away kit would be good (like the Inverness Thistle strip of the early 70s) and would be worth it to see IHE's face!
  15. Personally, I don't really care how many fans we take as those that will be there, myself included, will have a huge memory of the day ICT lift their first national trophy . However, there will be local people who are starting to realise the significance of this event as shops start to put on displays, press coverage increases and the shop opens in the market. They may be swithering on whether to go to the final and if they know x thousand tickets already sold, it might, just might encourage more people to but tickets. Peoiple may not know that jkids can go for a fiver or that their travel is subsidised so ant postive media information that the club can spin is bound to help ticket sales. I am genuinely not having a pop at the club but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to attract more/new fans. As we start to reach more finals, the novelty aspect will wear off (!!) but if you can say you attended the first Scottish Cup final that ICT got to, and saw them lift the cup, then you will be part of history.
  16. I seem to recollect Livingston having a ticker on their website at one time for the number of season tickets they'd sold. Why can't we do that? What about every couple of days announcing the number? That would drum up interest constantly. Even if they didn't want to announce the numbers, they could say "We're with 20 of 12,000 etc., the person to buy the 12,000th ticket wins a shirt!". That'd get people interested. And anyway, why the big secret? Granted the amount doesn't really matter, but if we did announce it, would lose potential sales? No. If we didn't? Potentially. We've got nothing to lose by making the numbers public and potentially something to gain.
  17. Noting the alleged actions of Anthony Stokes, Is it inappropriate to go to the celtic game 1) Dressed as Elvis singing Jailhouse Rock. 2) Dressed as Bob Marley singing I shot the Sheriff And if so would I get out alive?
  18. Devine and Doran are both out - Richie Foran told them they had cup final fever!!!
  19. Yup, Collum's the referee.
  20. Me and my left upper arm are boycotting this game but I will rest throughout on my ICT tattoo and watch - possibly with a voddie or two. But would we liable to a fine for not putting out an experienced team.
  21. Meekings really shouldn't start. Celtic will be gunning for him
  22. Hope the travelling fans don't forget to give Celtic a big hand at the end of the game for all their achievements this year
  23. 1 point
The peccadillos of his pontificating personality are of no consequence to me since we are all human and different. More often than not, these can actually be quite entertaining or amusing. But what set my fuse alight was when it became very apparent that he had crossed the line by contacting the HIbs before (in one way or another) he had informed the club of his strategy or intentions. That was against the rules and if any fan thinks that is right then welcome to a "no rules" environment and chaos wrapped in the dissipation and subsequent dereliction of duty and loyalty etc.. Especially when the Management of the club had treated him fairly and squarely and rightly would have expected to have been taken into his confidence as a minimum. The flaring match that set alight my second fuse was his insults to both the Management and fans of ICT by sitting in the stand with the Hibs' management at the first game against ICT at Easter Road as if the ICT people had never been fair to him or guiven him his chance to shine in the sun.
