  1. He was terrible, and that is being kind. WTF was blowing for half time before we took that corner about. Zero stoppage time played at the end of the first half. Also kept getting in the way. What a total nob
  2. According to him kicking a player is ok to do. I actually had to bite my tounge and try my hardest not to say swears. The man hates inverness and seems to have something against Christie. There was a few times that saints should have got bookings and never got. There was a few things caley should have got and never got
  3. Just home from game. I think we'd all have taken a draw at 3pm given half the team was missing, but it was a bit of a sickener to lose a late equaliser after such a great team effort, and we should really have had it sewn up ages before. Really pleased with the team, and the youngsters that were brought in couldn't really be faulted. Has to be said though, that Saints were pretty awful. They only started to get a bit closer to our goal in the last 20 minutes when it was evident that a few of our guys (eg Mutombo) had nothing left in the tank. Big improvement on last week. MoM was probably Christie, a wise head already, along with skillful feet, but Devine also did a great job and Williams displayed great energy and tackling.

Not sure there is a point in spending money on wages for yet another midfielder that is definitely not needed, strikers and defenders are what we need not someone who is a liability, with a fairly open dislike of the club!
  5. Jhesus it must be bad - got this picture of Don Taylor on the streets of Milan
  6. Well, I'll take the point, even though it should have been three. Plentyvof positives today - I thought that the team was set up pretty well. The defence was reasonably solid. I thought that Draper looked good at centre back, and kept thing simple. Polworth and Horner had good games, although Horner seemed to get a nose bleed every time he got too far forward. Christie took his goal well and very nearly had another, but his distribution went to pot in the last 15 minutes. Lopez and Muotombo had some nice touches, but it did feel like I was watching them in slow motion. To be fair Lopez seemed more involved than when I saw him in the two games with Astra, so hopefully as they get more fitness and game time they will improve further. If we could have finished more clinically, then we would have won that easily. Saints were terrible up until the last 15 minutes, and even then they weren't that good. And less than 3000 fans? Guess they were either bringing in the harvest or clearing Morrisons of milk. Almost forgot - thought Ali Sutherland looked good when he came on. His pace seemed to scare the living sh!t out of those cart horses Wright and Scobbie. Agree pretty much with all your post, but these two bits are worth commenting on. Devine seems to have benefitted greatly from regular game time and I've been impressed with him so far this season. I think you are probably right about the drop, but I'd still like to see us convert a bigger proportion of our chances.
  7. It would be interesting to see the statistics on how many penalties he awards, it seems like a crazy amount anyway. Think a few players have him round their finger. But his refereeing is appalling, and these guys performances are scrutinised and OK'd every week. It's mad.
  8. The attacking plan you mention must have missed Lopez. He really was terrible today. Thought Polworth had a very good game, but in the end we certainly threw away two points ....was going by limited reports from bbc online. Sounds from those at the game that Lopez still doesn't have it! Delighted for Polworth! If Sutherland could be trusted up front instead of Lopez, we'd have 3 home-growns in the team.
  9. My thoughts as well and it was Barry Wilson! No mention of under 3000 in Perth today
  10. LOL......... Nice one Sneckboy...........
  11. Did Willie Collum only produce one card all afternoon?! Decent away point - keeps our unbeaten record 'on the road' this season - both domestically and in Europe!
  12. I agree bughtmaster though its dissapointing losing a goal right at the end we seem to have played well without our strongest team and must give hope to all those who were feeling a bit blue after last week, Wednesday will be a big game now would be great to get a first win of the season
  13. listening to OAM i get so pi$$ed off when they always go on about our crowds So what its not as if we are the lowest supported team in the league but for some strange reason its always us they gurn about Even slating off the fact we had 5500 at astra game, should someone tell them that buses go down every week to watch their beloved Weegie teams and their very own media biase helps contribute to the problem Anyhow seems like we are playing well hopefully we can hang on for the last quarter of an hour
  14. Inverness CT: Fon-Williams, Raven, Draper, Devine, Williams, Tansey, Polworth, Horner, Christie, Mutombo, Lopez. Subs: Esson, Wedderburn, Brown, Ferguson, Sutherland. Draper in for Warren. Polworth and Horner preferred over Wedderburn. Ferguson and Sutherland on the bench. A light midfield or a day for staking your claim to first team football?

Wigan won the cup and were relegated in the same season. Portsmouth won the cup and then spent money they didn't have chasing further glory. That and then going bust is what did for them. The lesson is probably don't spend what you hope to get, rather than what you can afford.
  16. the legendary Glasgow Caley away supporters club once again start the new (away) season with tomorrow's trip to Perth, we have a few of our foot soldiers missing but if anyone wants to meet up and travel with a good bunch of guys (and girl) please feel free to join us in the Counting House from 11am tomorrow.
  17. Won't make it tomorrow but I will see you next week at Celtic Park
  18. I'd take him just to wind up the County.
  19. Such is the lot of many clubs, I fear. The psychology of football support is fascinating! I have always been of the view that, for some, attending football matches (and I use that as a deliberate alternative to "supporting" a football team) is principally a means of trying to address their own personal feelings of inadequacy. If you are in a position to make a loud and public assertion that high profile individuals or, collectively, a high profile organisation are hugely inadequate well in that case you're maybe not quite as inadequate yourself as you constantly find yourself otherwise believing. Are you????? Sometimes the actual football isn't all that an important as aspect of people's visits to games. It's perhaps the same with all those guys (and it's overwhelmingly men) who invariably know FAR better than the manager how to set out the team and what tactics to use. Isn't it a scandal that such an overwhelming source of football expertise is being wasted in the stands while clubs pay good money to employ incompetents? This is what I find the most amusing aspect of going to football - all these people who individually have more footballing nous in their little fingers than the entire management team put together. So how come managers have acquired well paid jobs while these people have to pay to get in and watch? Sometimes the delusional aspects of football fans can be absolutely hilarious. As for Caley Thistle.... well I have to say that I am getting increasingly concerned that this Old Firm expectation that the default position is victory is gaining currency alarmingly rapidly among fans.
  20. Stand corrected .. £50k! Still not a huge amount of money compared to what others in the SPFL have spent this season and we must be in a better financial position now that we have ever been... I could understand not spending money on buying players if we were spending this on wages but the players we have signed are not going to demand a high wage. I would be very surprised if the money we have saved with the loss of Shinnie, Watkins, Ofere, Ross doesn't cover the new contracts offered for Wedderburn, Roberts, Lopez & Mutombo on their own. Which leaves the £150k for Mckay, revenue from Cup final and 3rd in the league... where has that gone? (there is no way 1 away trip to Romania has emptied the bank balance) Even when taking that money out the equation the club will have made absolutely feck all investment for the season If they are building new training facilities or replacing the temporary stands then fair enough .. let the fans know there is an end goal!
  21. Sounds like a guy we were sitting near at the Astra game in Romania and just repeatedly shouted the same thing during the second half when we only needed 1 goal to put us to extra time. If it is the same person then he didn't look like he's kicked a football before in his life!! He also came out with some other classic encouraging quotes, such as "do something with the ball" and "Lopez you're a waste of a shirt" "Do something with the ball" If you don't know what should be done with the ball and you have a better view of the whole pitch, then how the **** do you expect "something" to be done with the ball by the player that is being pressurised by the opposition and has limited time to make their decision? Not every pass can be a world cup pass ... if football was that easy it would be a basketball score every game! "Lopez you're a waste of a shirt" I've only seen the guy in video clips and the game out in Romania but it is embarrassing that a new signing is getting absolutely no help from his fans. He was pretty dismal in the first half in Romania but in the second half he looked as though he could have something to offer the club when he was dropping deeper. Even if he does turn out to be a donkey do you actually think that telling a player he is having a shocker is going to help him?? Or worse, telling him that he isn't good enough for this level when he might be having the same doubts himself is going to help in anyway?? I'm not a happy clapper by any means and could write a very long list of the things I think the club could be doing better on all fronts ... but honestly what do some fans expect?? Everyone gets frustrated.. especially when it's not going our way but surely Yogi has bought himself half a season at the very least before fans start turning on him. He won us a Scottish Cup FFS!! His methods have been proven successful so any argument about style of play is way off the mark... but he is now having to deal with losing 5 first team players and a barrel load of injuries so I definitely think the board need to give him a hand and get a couple of landmark signings. To this day the largest transfer fee we have ever paid for a player is £25k for Barrowman (I think) .. we now NEED some investment. End of the day if a fan pays money for a ticket it's their right to express their opinion but I would prefer to think that we have enough educated fans to weed out the others.
  22. I would be happy with Finishing above c*unty Finish top 6 Have a nice cup run Bring in some more youth players through our system
  23. As always, i will be happy avoiding relegation. if we can achieve that, then that, in my eyes, is a decent season. I will probably take pelters for this, but i believe last season was a one off, facilitated by a much weakened "Top League" AND i dont think we will see another season like that for manys a year. With Hearts being back in the league, it makes it that bit tougher this season. So, with that all said, i think if the lads can make the top 6, that will be a big achievment. I reckon Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts and Dundee Utd will all finish above us this season, So 5th spot would be a target.
  24. Another shocking performance by Willie C today in Perth. He seemed to forget which pocket he had his cards in. In the first half ICT played nice passing football, which seemed to force the opposition players into pretty agricultural challenges & clumsy grappling. Worthy of yellow cards, you bet. Second half Willie continued with the most UNBELIEVABLE pi*s poor decisions. Give it to him he is consistent. Unfortunately a living Legend but for all the wrong reasons!!!!
  25. The guy just can't win, to be fair!! It used to be that Collum was too card-happy and he got castigated for it.....now it seems he's not issuing enough!
  26. Aye, Wedderburn only played 10 minutes
