  1. The Dons weren't poor, we just blew them of the park in the first half
  2. Just home from the match, what a cracker no two crackers one from Storey and one from Christie. More than that the first half the Dons didn't know what hit them, we were first to the ball we stole the ball from them, we outplayed and outclassed them. Sadly we weren't in their faces in the second half but that no longer worries me. I have said we as supporters need to be patient, well now I think we can start raising our expectations just a little bit higher. Very few teams will be capable of living with us if we can just play as we did in the first half today and extend it a bit more into the second halfWe were truly immense at times today with all players doing their share and a little bit extra now and again. Well that is off my chest so I will now read what else 'has been said I just had to get this down straight away. Incidentally today I really was happy clapping in the Main Stand.
  3. John Beaton but that's not what most of the North Stand fans were calling him
  4. Polworth looked totally lost yesterday, I just don't think he's good enough for this level. If we had our full compliment of midfielders fit he wouldn't be on the bench i'm afraid. But a great team performance yesterday, well chuffed wi that result!!!!!

Well, there is little fear of anyone contradicting your thoughts, Bughtmaster. But what's all this talk about a new Manager anyway.? Why would John H .leave at this juncture? Another season like the last one and he would be in a position to have a good increase in remuneration and /or cement his relationship at the club for a more permanent future perhaps. Correct? Richie is undoubtedly an excellent player with drive, flair and a high work rate. As such, he demonstrates unimpeachable professionalism and is an outstanding example of dedication and skill to the younger up-and-coming younger professionals at the club. But what actual, consistent managerial experience does he have that could enable him to take over what is no a winning , forward-looking club and continue the outstanding work of J Hughes and the current Board ? I can only leave that to those who know the answer to that question to explain further? Working with, and under the guidance of, someone like John Hughes would be an excellent starting point but acting alone in the face of the trials and tribulations of the on-the-job challenges is another thing. The way the new manager reacts and handles these things is the forerunner and determinant of his or her future progress and success. Which means, in turn, that the Board has to first decide whether or not to go for merely enthusiasm and hope or past managerial experience which has shown success to date. In my view, based on my past life's work ventures there is no substitute for experience. An appointment as assistant to Mr John Hughes as a first step would be a realistic and prudent move if his playing days are well nigh over (by virtue of injury, etc.). In fact I really can't see any other course for Richie in terms of management as being available to Richie at this point. It would be wonderful if he could stay at the club, though, IMHO. Both for him and the club.

yeah I wondered what that was all about, statement really came from nowhere on the back of singing forans praises for a 7 min cameo off the bench. Maybe yogi is already planning planning to planning to go realising he's taken us as far as he can and the board need something back for the 18 months and counting they pay foran when crocked.
  7. He faced some good attempts on goal, but saved them all easely.
  8. What a great result! Sounds thoroughly deserved. That's five games without defeat including the cup.....Storey appears to be a real round peg in a round hole up here, and Vincent staying fit Bench really light, I understand Tremarco picked up a knock midweek, but Lopez and Foran? Hats off to Yogi, who has steadied the ship after the early season troubles....an interesting comparison to that of the late Dundee Utd manager. We are still running on a super thin squad at the moment, so fingers crossed no more injuries (or suspensions!) for a while Given County's form this season, next weeks game will be a toughie.....but if we can reproduce the same performance albeit without Christie we could extend our unbeaten run
  9. I would say he was 'picture perfect'!
  10. Section 3.5, immediate suspension I'm afraid. yeah, and two yellows means no appeal. jagster said that Christie would miss the next game when he was sent off but the wee mannie in front said it had to be a straight red for him to miss next weeks game
  11. The form the Dons have had of late and the failure to take any points off them before,I felt 1 point would have been a good result. Great game to watch, great team performance and our players also won their personal battles too. Considering they have some of our players who we couldn't afford to keep, we made them along with the rest of their team look mediocre. Referee was pretty inconsistent, bias may be a better word and even upset the Dons fans later on in the match as he tried to balance things out. All in all a good day.
  12. Thought he was superb today, some great handling
  13. Great win and sets up the game against an in-form County nicely. I would imagine Mutumbo will come in to replace Christie next week as he's a similar sort of player. Really looking forward to getting some of the injured players back, particularly Jordan Roberts. It will be a massive left to the players to get the numbers back, and at this point I'm optimistic about a top half finish and maybe even a cup run, considering we're already in a quarter final!
  14. Brilliant stuff by OFW and he's no a bad keeper as well.

Can't see Hughes going there - poisoned chalice. It's really messy behind the scenes at United. That doesn't mean we shouldn't offer Hughes a contract - he deserves it.

I think Pressley would be favourite
  17. Very impressive talent and a demonstration of a down to earth individual. Let's hope he can update the Mona Lisa with a Moaner Loser after McInnes post match interview today.
  18. Didn't he also do a painting of the game v Hearts? You know, when Sho-Silva ended up on the canvas.....
  19. I thoroughly agree with your sentiments OCG but until Scotland gets a manager outwith old firm contact Players from the Highlands will not be considered until they move on. It is part of deeply inbred culture that will take a lot of rooting out.
  20. I'll be pleased for Shinnie , but this should have happened two years ago. Of course he hasn't become a better player, only that he now plays for a more fashionable team. For me, if Shinnie is now selected, Strachan has just confirmed how shallow he is. Not Shinnie's fault of course.
  21. It's pretty a standard red top story but it is a bit galling to read it at face value and assume that he has only been playing at this level since he went to Aberdeen. Apart from maybe a wee dip in form around the start of this year Shinnie has been a consistently outstanding performer for about two seasons now. He is playing no better at Aberdeen than he was with us. He has deserved a call up for a long time now and whilst I am disappointed he never got that chance with us it's great to see that he is finally getting the recognition he deserves.
  22. What is this big love in with the dons? I'd rather see Ross County win the league than the sheep.

The consent form makes it clear that the youngsters are the parents responsibility at all times. CJT take no responsibility for them at all. This is very clear on the form

Butcher started all this tosh about Foran taking over as manager. I understand why, dangling a carrot to keep a (then) key player at the club, and also talking up his buddy (or 'co-dependant' as our resident psychologist would say). But from the clubs point of view, it's a terrible idea. He has zero managerial experience of any kind at any level. It's a recipe for disaster. Jobs for the boys might be business as usual at Highland League level, but we're a Premier League club now.
