The club have been adapting their disability pricing over a number of seasons now and this has been done following ongoing discussions with a few organisations. In short, it was highlighted that the clubs original policy from a few years ago of not charging disabled fans was considered "positive" or "reverse" discrimination. From there the club introduced a voluntary payment option (which many signed up for), moved on to a reduced fixed price including charging for the carer and finally onto the setup that has been introduced this season whereby the charge is the same for everyone and those requiring a carer get free access for them. As it was explained to me.....it's not the job of a football club to financially compensate or reward a person for being disabled, they merely have a responsibility to (where possible and in line with the law) ensure that those with additional needs are not disadvantaged. The law sets out the requirements in terms of access and facilities and the club more than meet what is asked of them in that regard. In relation to someone attending attending a football match who requires a carer, then the availability of free access for the carer ensures the person is not disadvantaged. Anything beyond that is, as mentioned earlier, "positive" or "reverse" discrimination. Another positive that came about as a result of the change is that ambulant disabled are no longer restricted to a specific section of the stadium where the discounted tickets had previously been offered. They can take up a seat anywhere they like and, if required, get a free carer seat alongside them. Having spoken to a good number of disabled fans over the years (at ICTFC and elsewhere), the vast majority want to pay their way. Some had even expressed disappointment that (until now) they have not been able to pay the same as others and feel like they are making the same contribution to their club as everyone else....often choosing to increase their spend at the club in other areas to make up for it.4 points

Unfortunately I never got the win! The Dr stopped the fight between the first and second round due to some heavy damage I took in the closing seconds that left me with a bleeding nose that wouldn't stop. My opponent was the better man, but I did shake him early on. Very proud of myself despite getting beaten up as thanks to people like you guys I have raised an incredible amount of money for a charity that supports families like ours who have gone through hell. Thank you so much to those of you who have donated. For anyone else who may still wish to contribute, the page remains live for a month after the event. I'm off to tend to my two black eyes and broken nose (not joking) :)3 points

No problem with you Pimple. It just gets to me when people constantly criticise a man who brought the most success to our club. I also fully believe that there are two sides to every story so I just cannot believe that Hughes turned on our Chairman/Board without good reason. I do not however agree with how he went about trying to sort it - but maybe, just maybe he had tried to do this internally without any success. Who knows, I just think we should put this to bed and get on with giving our full support to Foran.2 points

Well done Simon. Not many people would take a sore face to raise loads of money. Tremendous effort and we are all proud of you.2 points

Och well might as well put the cat amongst the pigeons. Home shirt in Blue with two red stripes, White shorts and red socks. Away shirt in White, Black shorts and Red socks. Simples.1 point

I believe Forres may have had, or are due to have, some work done on their pitch which meant it wasn't going to be ready in time for us to fit a friendly in with them.1 point

Caleyboy, maybe that remark directed at the auld Pimple might have been fairly accurate but go easy on the Kingsmills loon. His heart is deffo in the right place and he is a staunch ICT supporter. Yes ! Er ....you are awful but I do hope you like me, though.1 point

Whilst he didn't impress whilst here, to be fair to the lad, I don't think he was ever given the opportunity to impress. He was badged as a midfielder but was usually pushed up front as a sub because of his height, then, when he did get on the park he didn't see a lot of the ball because he was playing under a manager who was far more concerned about playing to a system rather than adapting systems to play to the players' strengths. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he does a decent job for Barrow.1 point

Absolute load of garbage. If Rankin is on trial then he only has the goal posts and groundsman to play against. Every other player is on holiday till end of month.1 point

Why? While he had a decent season in a poor DUtd team, he's an aging player that we don not need, in a position we have plenty cover and will probably command too high a precentage of the wage budget IMO which could be better used in areas of the park we are weaker in or on younger talent we can try develop - its not like we have a very young inexperienced side where we need his leadership. Sometimes I'd like to see fans on here looking forwards to new blood at the club instead of the constant calls just to bring aging players back on sentiment.1 point

Yeah Denis Alibec came off the bench to play for Romania tonight against France, I thought the name sounded familiar but then I realised that's because I signed him for ICT in football manager 20081 point

It was a damned disgrace the way he was treated by that man. But justice prevailed and we have our right back right back where he belongs.1 point

Equally, why on earth should you equate a disability with any impairment of intellect. Hugely condescending in my view.-2 points

Administration pending unless...

Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.
That's another fine mess you've got us into.-

New Chairman Wanted, Apply Within
tm4tj posted an article in News 2023-24,
Chairman Ross Morrison resigns
Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June. More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.
Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”
Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.
“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.
“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”-
