I agree with Robbo ictfc became a team in 1994 anything before that was two different clubs.

7 clean sheets in a row is world class. Is there another team in THE WORLD who can boast such a run? Fantastic stuff, not just from the back 4 but the entire starting 11.

There is no guarantee that a move abroad would benefit him since the Canadian Whitecaps are a tough team to get hired into. He would have to play higher and harder than he might get away with here and the pace is not as slow as people think. He nevr was a major contribuitor with nus the last time out and hardly is a dynamic runner so is he approaching the zenith of his career perhaps? Let him play a couple of games this year and see what develops. But I would prefer the up and coming young fella from the 2nd team.. MacKay isn't it -- there's a young player that deserves another shot and will thrive I feel. Cheers SP

A short term deal at the right price for the club would seem sensible all round. He gets a chance to sell himself, we get a versatile player who would be useful if injuries or suspensions start to bite.

Should we get TNS, chances are the game will be on a Sunday at 3ish for S4C. Should the roads be clear, and with a 20 minute stop every couple of hours, the journey could be made in about eight hours. If the game is at three, the bus could leave at 6am and make it with about an hour to spare. If the game finished about 5 (as long as there's no extra time), we could get back to Inverness about 1 or 2am. Providing D&E lease the coach for that distance (and we'd probably need two drivers) but it could be done in one day. For those looking at making their own way down, taking the train looks more trouble than it's worth (and would take over twelve hours!). Contrary to popular belief, TNS do not play in Wales, but a few miles on the other side of the English border. From Inverness, it'd be three trains, walking and then a bus journey! Another option is to fly direct from Inverness to Manchester and then travel down but again it could be quite difficult as Oswestry has no railway station due to the Beeching Cuts in the 1960s.

If he hasn't found anything elsewhere, I think it demonstrates a bit of a gulf between what he (and/or his agent) thinks he's worth and what any potential club would be willing to pay. It was interesting that he played on Wednesday night as a trialist. If he had previously been offered something here and had refused to sign then why would Robbo give him game time instead of one of the youngsters? It suggests to me that he may be interested in signing him but wanted to see Nick in action in a competitive game before deciding whether to offer him anything. On Nick's performance, I wouldn't expect that Robbo will be willing to offer him anything other than a basic contract. If he does, then if Nick want's to get his career back on track, he should have the common sense to accept the offer and take the opportunity to up his game and demonstrate that he's worth more.

Me too, with the obvious caveat that he has to fit into the current wage structure of the club. Probably a short-term deal, which maybe would suit both us & Nick (if he is looking for a move overseas). My only concern is: how hungry is he? He never quite managed to nail down a starting place last time he was here & I don't personally think a lack of ability was the reason. Would also agree that those who are saying that signing a striker is a priority - however, we must have some prospects from the youths who could step up here? Or Susan....?! However, think he would have signed by now if he wanted to or if Robbo thought he would add to the team...who knows? Maybe finances are too tight to allow it?

Unfortunately the large majority of Caley and Thistle fans will look at their clubs' histories dying in 1994. If everybody had looked at the merger as being a "coming together" and a mere episode in history then our fan base would definitely be much increased. Robbo has got it spot on.

It would also be good to have another local in the squad. Also if he hasnt been playing for some time, it takes a good few weeks training and games to regain your match sharpness. He was a good and important player for us before, and Im pretty sure he hasnt lost ability, just some confidence. I would take him back if he is willing

It's a no from me i cant see what he would bring to the team the little money they have needs to be on a decent striker where we will find one of those im not to sure

As much as I'd like Nick to be in the squad personally I'd prefer that the money would go on a striker.

Then don't play him in a position that requires him to win those 50/50 ball. He could be a very capable player at this level playing just behind the striker slipping balls in behind the defence for Bell or Baird to latch on to. That said, doing that would likely necessitate a change in formation and I wouldn't be supportive of that given current form. A deal to the end of the season might not be terrible especially given that his planned move to Spain or the USA doesn't seem to be happening.

Green dot from me Caleyboy. Can't say I would be too keen on us signing Ross again on this performance. Rarely wins the ball and does little with it when he does have it other than pass it to the nearest teammate. From tonight's game I'm struggling to see what he might add to the team.

need to ask why he is still without a club after so long. Nick is neat and tidy on the ball but he won't win you 50/50 balls. I really don't know if he is the type of player Robbo needs in this league. I'll wait for all the red dots!

Refuseniks did not abandon anyone or anything they simply did not want to become a part of a franchised institution, I admire their stance and their integrity Robbo is 100% spot on and I admire him for stating the bleeding obvious, maybe old Caley girl and Kingsmills should contact him if they take offence and tell him Hearts and Hibs should have merged years ago as it would have been the making of Edinburgh as a football force ffs Well said Robbo Dougal

Interesting feature, which I missed on the night as I was sitting shivering in the North Stand...silly me! I have to agree with Robbo about the history though - as a former Jaggie, we do have a long shared history with 'Caley', but our club was formed in 1994...please don't get me started on the Refuseniks who abandoned us though!!

Good, generally positive and encouraging, interviews. The only thing I would take issue with is Robbo's assertion that 'we don't have the luxury of a hundred years of history behind us'. Yes we do, in fact we have well over two hundred years of combined history.

It was nice to get to see an ICT game live on TV. I look forward to the next milestone of getting one with commentary in English!

To those lazily issuing red dots, surely it would be better to take just two or three minutes to explain why you disagree. Much less confrontational and far more enlightening.
